  1. The blame Bush mantra still plays fairly well among a large segment of the population. It's a quick and easy answer and doesn't require those listening to think much.
  2. Probably the same 27% that want corporate profits made illegal.
  3. A mind is a terrible thing to waste. Maybe the Mizzou students should go back and revisit this campaign.
  4. It ain't pretty. During this election cycle, the R candidates IMO (and voters) would benefit greatly from some real presentations on the economy, spending, debt. It's hard to change people's beliefs and understanding in short sound bites with little or no data.
  5. Why when they were talking about bank failure and protecting depositers was the FDIC not mentioned? Seemed like the obvious answer to me. Depositers are insured. The bank itself is not. Also, I thought the earlier debate was good. 4 participants is about the right number.
  6. Luis Gutiérrez must be beside himself right now.
  7. Politically an excellent play for her. It'll get votes now, it'll raise the pay of many people and also result in fewer people being employed. The unemployed will get government benefits and be thankful that a President Hillary is watching out for them while their evil former employer didn't give a rats' ass. Then, when the raise in the wage proves to be bad for the economy and employment, she can trash the Republicans that want to repeal it and take away better pay for the poor. Brilliant! Dem playbook 101.
  8. Yes, but the majority of Americans never had the full set of facts on Barry because most don't pay attention or their loyalty to their "team" trumps all else. His re-election is even more evidence of that.
  9. Carson's point on the West Point thing is that he passed up a great opportunity to pursue medicine. That's gotten lost in all this. He never pursued an opportunity to go to West Point. However, he would have served himself well if he had said that he never pursued a possible appointment.
  10. I don't need to look at them because you and I both know that the Times and WP did not publish 165 + 41 (or even a large portion of that number) critical articles about Obama's associations with Ayers and Wright. Had the writer that referenced these articles gone back and read them, they could have then stated the number of "critical" articles on the subject which would have given the piece a lot more credibility. That was either too much work or wouldn't have yielded the results the writer was looking for or both.
  11. Yeah and how many of those articles defended Obama from attacks from the right regarding Ayers an Wright? Agree the Carson should expect this and deal with it but while he's getting criticized over nitpicks, Hillary walks nearly free when there is a mountain of dirt and evidence on her ****ty character and judgement.
  12. Had you not asked the question about obstructionism I would have given you an answer to the other question. While we all come here to some extent for entertainment, Many people (myself included) are very concerned about the really big issues that we face as a nation some of which are spending and debt, oversubscribed entitlements, jobs, illegal immigration and terrorist threats. Senator Sasse's speech addresses the poor performance of the Senate in a serious way. Seriously if you haven't already you should watch all 29 minutes and not through a partisan prism. We need more like him in both parties.
  13. Obama flat out sucks.
  14. Tell you what - check your yourself into Planned Parenthood and have yourself aborted and have your brain devoted to medical research. If that research helps us eliminate your way of thinking, the world will be a better place.
  15. My guess is that you didn't watch much of this because it was far more about substance than emotion and it was an invitation to both parties for seriousness and cooperation.
  16. Great find and thanks for posting this. Worth every minute. This guy should replace McConnell right now.
  17. The best way to cure Government's culture of waste is to give it less money.
  18. Unfortunately there are 10's of millions for sure.
  19. Which almost nobody will read or understand yet they will have strong opinions.
  20. You do need to work on your messaging a bit. Try: I am more in favor of greater investments as opposed to draconian cuts.
  21. Seriously, run for office for the donkey party. You've got the proven tax and spend approach down pat. Don't be intimidated by the fact that Republican Governors outnumber dems 2 to 1 or that the house and senate are in enemy hands. You can't lose on a platform of more taxes and more spending.
  22. Rubbish. Obama's policies have only been good for the 1% because a soft economy always punishes less capable workers. That won't change. Obama is too stupid or stubborn to understand that growing GDP grows wages and tax receipts. He's not willing to adopt growth policies unless they are government growth that benefits his party's voters. Raising taxes is not a growth policy. Forcing employers to buy more expensive health insurance is not a growth policy. 1-time deficit spending is a not a growth policy. Republicans never cared about the economy? Reagan?
  23. So Republicans are obviously more devoted voters since they show up in greater numbers for mid-term and smaller elections. That to me is a compliment. My beliefs are usually numbers based so when Fox runs stories on debt, spending, workforce participation, illegal immigrant issues, healthcare and other hot topics - they are quite often backed up by the math. Real numbers. Real numbers from sources other than Fox also. Real numbers from real life experience in my case. Real numbers that are ignored by many liberal politicians. Quite frankly, Fox can win most of their arguments and they run stories that most other networks ignore or very minimally report. The liberal arguments of today are only for the uninformed, small minded or those who have somewhat perverted priorities. Republican governors outnumber dems 2 to 1 now. R's have the house and senate and soon the white house. Take that to the bank. Again, take that to the bank. In spite of the horrendous liberal bias of the MSM, the real story is how the country is now moving away from liberal bull **** and it is utter !@#$ing bull **** because the math does not lie.
  24. Good chance he or any Republican won't win NJ in a Presidential election and yeah he'll have a hard time winning a Governor's election again. He's Trump tough without the gaffs and does better on camera IMO than Carson. He's got some momentum right now.
