  1. All designed for political gain and to distract us from the big issues of debt/deficits, entitlement obligations, illegal immigration, economic growth (or lack thereof) and national security. The left cannot survive on an agenda of personal responsibility, responsible government and the rule of law.
  2. You're right. I must have written that post in a moment of ignorance and frustration.
  3. What Trump said about what is coming over the border is true. You can argue on the proportions of it but there are a lot of bad people coming over. That and nobody can make a good argument on why we should have in the past, present and future allow so many people to come into this country illegally. The facts very obviously support limited legal immigration, but the left has a different agenda. Obama was a great candidate and a terrible President.
  4. Yes and when the analysis and grieving are done and if this is a terrorist attack, how about the entire world rally to eliminate these !@#$s?
  5. "First, he’s running a campaign fundamentally based on racism" I stopped reading right there. Trump was not my top choice but this is utter rubbish but predictable rubbish. Liberals just can't help themselves on race, constantly bringing it up when it has no relevance. You know when we'll make progress on race in this country? When we stop bringing it up and we lambast people that do. Oh, and affirmative action of any kind can go away too. Krugman sucks at the highest level.
  6. Yes and I'm starting to think Trump has a shot at this. Hillary's negatives I think will be harder to conquer than Trumps. He can win some people over I believe. Hers go right to integrity during her time in elected office and they are deeply concerning for many. Deliberate acts of deceit. Trumps are more superficial (mostly shooting his mouth off). He also has the angry anti-establishment crowd on his side. It's going to be an interesting summer and fall.
  7. He will have most of the media and liberal academic historians on his side but even with that there should be a number of books published in the next several years which should be great reads about his awful presidency.
  8. That and many of those that support a fed system are probably the same ones that don't know the details of their own current coverage.
  9. I've agreed with 3 or 4 of the thousands of decisions he's made.
  10. This is one area where I agree with Obama. The $23K threshold which is about $11 per hour is a very low threshold for a "manager" or commissioned employee. I don't agree on doubling it to $47K per year but it needs to be increased IMO.
  11. The video story is no longer a lie as Clinton is on record now saying that the terrorist group rescinded their claim that they were responsible for the attack a few days after taking credit for it and the captured suspect has stated that he was inspired by the video so it seems Mrs. Clinton has all the bases covered now. How convnient
  12. No, you made a statement and DC Tom asked a question.
  13. Yup, another distraction from $19T in debt, underfunded entitlements, illegal immigration, national security and a sluggish economy.
  14. They would be featured in many books that talk about the good 'ole days of the 80's and 90's when health insurance was inexpensive, not mandated or so heavily regulated and was truly a benefit offered by most employers that employees could choose.
  15. Yes, Walker has high on my list as well early on. Like most of the 17 candidates, he couldn't break out of the pack and was pretty bland in the early debates and campaigning. Bland didn't do well. Common sense, professionalism and substance didn't do well.
  16. Trump states he's already released financial statements. I have not looked for them online but that's more interesting than a tax return IMO. If Trump releases his returns, my guess is the left will go nuts if they see he's using 1031 exchanges to defer capital gains tax on re-invested property proceeds. They'll say he's using a loophole to avoid taxes when in fact he's using tax law. I can't recall a Democrat politician ever speaking out against 1031 exchanges.
  17. I suppose our racist and sexist society prevented woman and minorities from getting the education and experience they need to compete with white men.
  18. Dumb article, no data to backup the claims. It's amazing how people in the media and politics can get away with such poor work. If in the business world you showed up at a meeting and presented this as your analysis you'd get laughed out of the room and if you did it a few times you'd be fired.
  19. I'm sure the curriculum they develop will focus on things like doing your best in school, not having children out of wedlock, developing character, abstaining from drugs and practicing American Patriotism.
  20. I have no problem with most (not all) of what he the former butler said. Frankly more in this country should be outraged by what is going on and should express it even if that expression is somewhat distasteful. I know that's not your point here and yes the left will not have to look hard for stuff like this to bring down Trump.
  21. That was my first reaction as well. Without Dufek on the list, the entire thing is irrelevant.
