  1. There's another hard lesson for Hillary and other pols. If you lie to the public and use your government position for personal financial gain and cover that up, many won't support you. Bernie got a raw deal for sure and he was one of the most genuine of candidates on either side, but his agenda was an impossible one to pass and fund so he had no chance.
  2. Yes, get those people the hell out of here. Yes, a good decision at the time.
  3. On CNN now they're covering the protests. Some funny **** but also sad at the level of ignorance among these people. One of the protestors just said that Democrats are also to blame because "they" facilitated Trump being elected.
  4. The wall was approved in 2006, some construction was done until both parties didn't want to fund it. Trump can simply put it in the budget and yes I think everyone should expect that he will be determined to secure the border. Other methods likely used to secure the border as well where a wall not needed or appropriate. I'd expect that he will also move to deport a lot of illegal immigrants who have weak ties here or have committed crimes. Others probably allowed to stay.
  5. I'm not ripping them for being "wrong". I'm ripping them for being such partisan hacks and being incapable/unwilling to self assess and that cuts both ways left and right but mostly left.
  6. What are the chances that much of the MSM reflects on last night and realizes that they got whipped as well?
  7. What are the chances she reflects on the last 8 years and admits to herself that she really !@#$ed up and had she simply done the right thing more often she'd be sworn in come January?
  8. If Obamacare is scrapped and replaced and the border is secured, what will be Obama's legacy?
  9. Rudy, Christie and Carson strike me as very good men all capable of making a good contribution to the new administration. I get why a lot of people don't like Newt but he strikes me as a person who has a great grasp of our largest domestic issues. Yeah. For ****'s sakes there isn't anyone in the house or senate that needs to get the hell out of the way more than Nancy (now that Reid is retiring).
  10. Some good people on your list.
  11. It was a close election between two flawed candidates. In her case she didn't deserve to win. She'll look back and realize that had she made a few decisions differently while she was secretary of state, she'd more than likely be the president elect this morning. It's a lesson for all politicians.
  12. You'd be asking that either way. The damage was done over the summer.
  13. Want a few laughs, turn on NBC TV now. They are melting down.
  14. Well. it looks like Trump will win.
  15. and how long to buy Tums after that?
  16. Illinois is similar. In 2012 I think only 2 counties out of about 100 went for Obama and one of those is a smallish county near St. Louis. Cook County which is city of Chicago and some surrounding area went big for Obama of course. When you get outside of that area, you find more Republican/Conservative types. This gives one a feeling of no representation. Unless you spend time downtown, you don't get the feeling that you're in a dark blue state except of course for how the state and federal government function and there is not a damn thing you can do about it. Illinois, of course, is one of the states that does not count write-in votes. You can write in, but it won't be counted.
  17. Which begs the question, what are the laws regarding campaign involvement in the act of voting?
  18. If you think NV and PA are rigged, you must certainly feel that FL is rigged too. Even I after hearing some reports from there think there are efforts to rig Florida. Tough to do when you're locked out by the media, donors and the two major parties and most don't know anything about him.
  19. My wife and I have thrown a couple of big election night parties in the past with 30+ people but haven't done so since 2010. It would be too much like watching the Hank Bullough coached Bills in a large group this time around.
  20. Oh come on, with that level of Trump-optimism you could have given Trump Nevada, Colorado and Pennsylvania too.
  21. Even scarier is Hillary will be sworn in 10 weeks from now and her staff and cabinet will be filled with these low lifes.
  22. !@#$ing Obama isn't man enough to step back from the political prism and recognize that the ACA has fulfilled nearly all of the critic's concerns, admit it sucks and work his ass off to come up with something better before he leaves office. He is neither a leader or a hands on type that will roll up sleeves and do some work. He is however the biggest fraud to ever hold the office, but not for long.
  23. OK, there you have it folks.
