Singletary started performing much better once he became the #1 guy, who got the overwhelming majority of touches out of the backfield. He never seemed to get into a groove when he and Moss were 1A and 1B. Not saying it can't be done with Cook, but I'm not holding out hope that Singletary will perform like he did the back half of the year if he's in a near-equal timeshare with Cook.

Watched the 3 or 4 YouTube videos I could find on him... Kid just sifts through traffic to make the play. And he absolutely fires his gun when he sees a play develop/sees a QB who's vulnerable. Remember the KC game when NO ONE on defense could bring down Mahomes? Maybe that's where Bernard fits in.

This thread seems bonkers to me. Beane has made two 4th-round picks in his time with the Bills: Taron Johnson, who's one of the top nickel CBs in the league Gabriel Davis, who's stepped up in a big way whenever his name's been called He's absolutely CRUSHED both picks, so yes, given Beane's hit rate, it's disappointing we don't have a 4th. On the flip side, if there's a guy Beane really wants in the 4th, we can easily maneuver our way back in, I'm sure.

And don't forget he's 20. Booth is 21 Gardner is 21 McDuffie is 21 McCreary is 22 Gordon is 22 Only other top CB who's 20 is Stingley.

I'm on the same page - I agree JA needs to be surrounded by talented offensive weapons. I'm just not sure the right value was there at #25 or #23 for us. On offense, Knox is a UFA next year, as is Singletary. On defense, Edmunds is a UFA and Poyer could hold out unless he gets a new contract. There's limited resources to go around, and I don't know how we fill those gaps AND address WR in a meaningful way in the next two off seasons.

Lacks run-support physicality to be an every-down corner, but he's talented enough to challenge for slot duties right away. Finesse cornerback with relatively slender frame. Big-bodied slot targets will post him up in space and drive him off the line in run game. He's kind of soft, but he can cover. He's not really what our team looks for because we play so much sub packages and he would have to be a better tackler to be on the field that much. He's a fit for what some teams do though. Like I said, he can cover. ^^ I sure hope that soft, weak Tre'Davious White kid can toughen up and become a good cornerback!

Then we better have some good CBs to slow them down, right? I'm sure WR will be a position we go after in the coming days.
