Yep. And:

Oh okay, got it 🤝. Yeah, I'm on the side that as much as we might want premier players at every position, it's not possible. So let's be smart with our resources and prioritize where we can. If that means getting a cheap part-time RB in FA because we can get a better CB in the draft on a cost-controlled contract, I'm all for it. I just brought up Hall because the person I was replying to did.
-
Lol this isn't my argument, so feel free to sub in whatever RB you want for Breece Hall. My points are a.) it's perhaps it's a bit wiser to spend a 2nd on a CB than it is a RB, and b.) we're doing to have to decide what positions to prioritize.
-
Great. Let's flip it around then. We all know we need a CB2. What if Beane spent $3.5M/yr on a low-level CB and drafted Breece Hall in the 2nd. Wouldn't we be having the same conversation? I know in my case I'd rather get a solid, young CB on a cost-controlled contract than I would a RB... but that's just me.

Agreed on any team being hesitant to sign him due to his drug issues. I just meant agreeing to terms, then changing them at the last second (presumably to pull a fast one) isn't the BEST tactic.

Bills sign DT Tim Settle, formally of Washington Commanders.

I can understand Gregory saying F off and signing with Denver then. Scummy move
-
So Gregory was close to a deal with the Broncos, Jerry recruited him back to Dallas/came to an agreement, Dallas changed the agreement, then Gregory signed with Denver?
-
That's cool, but maybe Beane wanted to take a position of higher importance at the end of R2 than a RB.

DEs: Chandler Jones Von Miller Randy Gregory - Denver Broncos Haason Reddick - Carolina Panthers Emmanuel Ogbah - Miami Dolphins Jadaveon Clowney Derek Barnett Melvin Ingram Uchenna Nwosu Jerry Hughes Arden Key I'm not sure if "dwindling" is the right word just yet

157* receptions the last 3 years. He adds an entirely different element to this offense that we don't currently have on the roster.

I didn't mention you in the post, but if the shoe fits, wear it 😄 Also, for what it's worth, I don't have rose colored glasses on. Beane has ***** up with certain signings and draft picks - every single GM in this league has. So if you want to throw a tantrum because he's not batting 1.000, or hasn't yet filled a positional need, be my guest. Every person on this board knows we need to get faster and address the CB position - Beane talked about both of those things in the season ending press conference. So let's wait till the season - the draft, even! - before saying holes haven't been filled.
-
And complaining about Beane's off-season approach 2 days prior to free agency starting 😄

Yes, that's the point. Let's wait till the off-season is over before throwing hissy fits, let alone before FA even opens. Has Beane missed on free agents? Yes. Has every GM? Yes. Has he also torn down and constructed a roster that is a threat to make the Super Bowl every year? Yes. Now, do we still need impact players at other positions? Sure. Can we restructure contracts to allow it to happen, if we so choose? Yes. Can we also draft impact players? Yes. It just so happens that the first thing we did was sign guards and DTs. Why? Because we needed to upgrade those positions. Let's give Beane and co. more than 11hrs into the legal tampering period before we clamor for his head and imply he's inept.

+1 for Robert Tonyan. I didn't realize he was a FA
-
Would you two prefer we replace a guard with a traffic cone and a DT with a rock? When holes open up on a roster, you replace them with someone who you think can perform better. Plus free agency hasn't even started, meaning we still have plenty of time to fix other holes. Would love to see the off-season master plan you've concocted lol. Tf

7x7 for $49M! Think it was the biggest contract in Bills history at that point?
-
This is my biggest thing. I don't know if it can be accomplished by the offensive scheme or what, but we need our WRs to help Josh and this offense out.
