I ran into Gugny in the parking lot of the Buf/NYJ game in New Jersey.

I have tried contacts a few times over the last 20 years. Apparently I have big pupils and odd shaped eyeballs. Combined with an astigmatism, I would see the edge of the lens in low light situations and it was very annoying. I would be fine for most of the day and then the contact would seem to be out of place. It might be time to try again since it has been about 10 years. Maybe they have improved the tech.

I just ordered new prescription sunglasses and I was forced to get an eye exam even though I just wanted them to match my current glasses. My prescription had expired. The results of the exam had a slight change in my prescription. The cylinder changed from -1.75 to -2.25 in both eyes and the axis changed from 11 to 15 and 165 to 170. The sphere remained at -1.25 for both eyes. The optometrist said that this change would not bother me as I switched between my glasses and sunglasses and it made no sense not to get the sunglasses with the updated prescription. I am still a little skeptical. Does anyone have an educated opinion about a .5 change in cylinder and if I might be bothered with headaches or eye strain when switching between the two pair of glasses? I'm hoping that I don't need to replace the lenses in my normal glasses as they are only a few months old.

Another vote for NJ. I am amazed that the streets here are not lined with burning wreckage every day. Half the drivers are oblivious to their surroundings, and the other half simply don't care. You are more likely to see bigfoot roaming the streets than a blinker. Cars with more than 1 working brake light are most likely lost and from out of state.

I have smoke alarms that go off if you look at them wrong! I have found that laying a box fan flat on the floor aimed at the smoke alarm (elevated a few inches off the ground) will keep the smoke alarm from going off. I can't disable the alarm due to living in an apartment. I am also tempted to try putting a shower cap over the alarm.

I have a Rega P2 with the Bias 2 cartridge option and have been thinking about trying to sell it. I almost never use it and with a recent upgrade of my receiver, I would need to buy a separate phono pre-amp. It is more decoration than anything else at this point. If I had a the room to set it up properly I would be more likely to use it.

Curly leaf parsley is more bitter. I actually just use a little of the dried parsley or leave it out.

I’ve grown to love cooking over the last few years. I find it relaxing after a long day. It is a tough call as far as my best dish. I make a mean steak. Sous vide at 129 and then sear in carbon steel pan while hitting the edges with the blowtorch. I usually pair that with a mushroom risotto. I also make a great bourbon scallop dish. Shrimp with caper brine, lemon, and garlic is in the running too. I recently tried octopus sous vide and seared. It was pretty good!

So your "start" is to disarm those that follow the law while understanding that those that are willing to rob, murder, rape, etc will choose to keep their guns? I will consider turning in my guns once you can guarantee without any doubt that there are no other guns in the population. Until that point, I will not even consider handing them over so people like you can feel a false sense of security and accomplishment.

Definitely rescue if possible. We recently got a husky mix from our local shelter and couldn't be happier. Just do your research online if possible and then go visit the dogs that look like a fit for your household. Previously I had a golden and a german shorthair pointer. The GSP was the such a cool dog and they are great with kids, but they can have a lot of energy.

Schick Hydro is very comparable to the Mach 5. I shave my head and cannot use most cheap blades because I end up with a ton of nicks and irritation. I was using Hydro for years and then received a really nice razor that used Mach 5 heads. I tried the Harrys razors and was not impressed.

That is a solid possibility! Rudy's was great. I don't think I ever ate anything there that wasn't deep fried! They had it down to a science. Very fun atmosphere and right on the shore. Oswego was a fun place, especially in the mid to late 90s. I heard it got much more difficult to throw house parties and get into bars underage.

I went to Oswego State. The cheeseburger sub from the Oswego Sub Shop might just be the perfect food. I can't count how many we drunkenly ordered, usually around 3:00am. Although I went back a couple years ago and the cheeseburger sub wasn't as good as in the 90s.
