He looked so good in the first game and now, at least judging from the boxscore, he seemed to vanish this week. I was hoping to hear that Gates and Aiken picked up where they left off last week but it looks as though that didn't happen. Any insight on this from someone who saw/heard the game?
Gates seemed to dance around a little too much. whether it was due to injury or poor decision making I don't know. Not a great outing.

Disclaimer: My opinion has NOTHING to do with Jerry's comments concerning the Bills' personnel.
Jerry Rice is BRUTAL on the radio. I tried to listen to him a few times and had to turn the channel. He has done NO research on the Bills, I guarantee. Any opinion he gives will be from the standpoint of a primadonna HOFer. He will support veterans (i.e., friends) and talk up those with whom he has had personal relationships.

Actually, in NY it is legal for a woman to be toppless anywhere a male can. Not that people wouldn't complain, but it is legal.

In English the color "Burgundy" (as in "the Redskins play in Burgundy and Gold") uses the english word for the french region Bourgogne. One of the best regions for wine.
In French the color burgundy is "Bordeaux", a word directly linked to a french wine region but an other one!
As i prefer Bourgogne compared to Bordeaux in wines, i'm happy the english language shares my wine tastes!
I was just wondering what is the name of that color in other languages... Do the spaniards say "Rioja" or "Burdeos", the Italian "Chianti"?!!
Real men only know 5 colors. Possibly 15 if you count "dark" and "light" variations as seperate colors.

I smoke ribs for 5 hours on Saturday and throw them on the grill at the tailgate. We also bring the turkey fryer and do wings with anchor bar sauce. We also do steak sandwiches on 'weck rolls. We have dual grills in addition to the fryer. No fancy drinks. I have pictures I can send or post, but do not have access to them on this computer. I'll try to post them later. I do have one small picture of our tailgate if you click on my screen name.

I being a commie pinko socialist liberal terrorist sympathizer, also am for welfare, with a Big But, that but being, The system was overhauled in the 90's and needs to be overhauled again, to reduce fraud and waste...There are still to many people collecting,that could work and choose not too, instead they keep the gov'tsfree bottle of nourishment fastened to their ----sucker....Out of the 200 plus people in my family line, 1 is on gov't assistance with welfare, section 8, and ssdi, due to lupus...She is able to work, she chooses to be lazy instead, and because of that she is shunned from the family...Yes we all,use to give her a fair shake. not no more, she's a loser and a user and she don't care..

I believe that food program was a charitable donation, without gov't assistance..

Welfare would be much more acceptable if those in control had the ability and/or desire to enforce eligibility requirements.

I own guns and I'm a liberal, somewhat....I don't believe in gun control for law abiding citizens....Criminals attain access to whatever they want, almost wherever they want....As I said, I prefer to vote dem, instead of repub, but the dems suck right now, more than before... Gun controll is a misquided idea, and only strengthens the criminals intent without the fear of being shot.
The fact that I actually agree with one of your posts has me a little frightened! Crime rates almost always rise when strict gun restrictions are put in place. Look at DC, and Chicago for example. What many people don't realize is that the unarmed population benefits from the fact that some of us are willing to defend ourselves with deadly force. The criminals do not know who is carrying a gun in most cases and alter their behavior accordingly. If nobody is allowed to carry concealed, the criminals just have to avoid robbing or raping other criminals to avoid being shot.

He's just making an observation, and a pretty obvious one at that. The extended time is a great advantage to those that want to cook, and truly enjoy the tailgating experience. But for those going for no other reason then to get lit up, the extra hour is certainly enough time to fill some fans with some more liquid courage.
Here's another observation that I would think is obvious. Can't these same drunks drink before getting into the lots? Last time I checked the beer can pop top works in all locations. If you are getting drunk and starting fights at the game, why would you respect open container laws in your car or outside the lot? Why punish those of us that want to have a good time tailgaiting for 5 hours because some idiots can't control themselves?

Actually you can fire a gun from the shoulder of the road, as long as the bullet does not pass over the road and you are 5 hundred feet from the nearest dwelling, unless you have the owners permission.
However you are correct, it is illegal for an individual to shoot a wounded animal. A law officer is supposed to do it, but I know a guy who was asked by an officer to shoot a deer that was hit by a car because he didn't want to fill out the paper work.
We had a rabid raccoon wandering the nieghborhood last year and attempted to get the police, rabies control, humane society, and troopers to come and take care of it. It was very obviously sick and did not attempt to run from anyone. I live in a developement with many children and pets. The troopers finally told us to shoot it and bury it. I had my 9mm on me at the time and we grabbed it in a fishing net and shot it behind one of the houses. I was sure that the police would come to get me for firing a gun in a nieghborhood. On a brighter note my nieghbors are much nicer to me now!

There is no way you want to get close to an injured wild animal. I have seen injured deer on the side of the road and thought about helping. I usually have a gun on me and could easily put the animal down and end its suffering. The problem with that is it is against the law to fire a gun right next to a road. NY is always looking for ways to take your gun permit away and it is not worth the risk.

I hear 'ya, Jay. But I just don't think going to an indoor water park is what Western and Central New Yorkers are looking for in the dead of winter. Hell, a lot of us are pale as Casper and out of shape for those 8-9 months of gloom each year. Who wants to get in a bathing suit then?
Yes, the "Racino" is doing well, but have you been there? The crowd pumping in quarters does not include a whole lot of the types looking to go down water slides, etc.
That exit is a prime locale for a big truck stop, not a high-end amusement attraction. I am all for growth in that area, but I just don't think this is the right choice.
Anyone remember FunScape next to the Regal Cinemas theater at Eastview Mall? That is less than 10 miles away. It was an indoor amusement park with mini-golf, smaller rides, laser tag, virtual reality systems, other games, a huge modern jungle-gym, a food court, etc. It went belly-up after four years, and it only lasted that long because the theater attracted people to the building. There will be no theater this time, so there will have to be a lot of pricey advertising to get people to come out, plus it is not a quick ride from places such as Greece, Webster and some of the more affluent Rochester suburbs.
I wish anyone putting money into the area the absolute best, and I will do my part to support it, but I just doubt it will be a long-term success.
I hope you are wrong, but it is certainly not unheard of for something like this to struggle. This is going up about a mile from my house. There is a ton of expansion and it is a very family oriented area. Hopefully the owners did their research and have a good plan. It certainly sounds unique.

It was obvious from the begining that the city never had a solid business plan in place, but the amount of incompetence here is staggering. Is there a way to start a class action suit. I would love to be involved in bringing these scumbags to justice if I could.

Sorry, I am from Rochester and I do pick Rochester as my answer to this post, but there is no way Farmington, Victor and Canandaigua can support something that big. The problem with Exit 44 is that there is little else around it. OK, Eastview Mall is one exit away, but I am pretty sure that is sucking in every penny there is to be spent in the area.
The developer looking to do this must have never heard of Roseland Park.
It is right next to the Racino (finger lakes gaming and racetrack). Last time I checked, they do pretty good business there! It is a 20 minute drive from the city. The developers turned down Henrietta as a location for a reason.

On a serious note, my wife likes our cats and one of them got messed up pretty bad by a fox/dog/coyote. I was away on business and she brought it to the emergency center in rochester. $4000 later we had a cat with titanium rods and cadaver bones in its back leg! I should mention that it would have cost a few hundred to have the leg amputated and many dogs and cats live happy lives with three legs. If I ever see the bastard vet who recomended this rediculous opperation followed by 8 months of follow up visits before the rods were removed I will snap his leg in a similar manner.

We took our two cats to the vet for their yearly checkup yesterday, and one of the things the vet noticed was that on one of our cats (6 year old Maine Coon, we think), one back molar was very loose and the other was covered with tarrter. She recommended that we bring her in later to have the one tooth removed and the other one cleaned up, all to the tune of $300-$400.
My wife and I have never heard of a kitty dentist before and are wonder how necessary this really is. The cat is eating fine, doesn't appear to be in any pain (although it's tough to tell with animals, since they don't really complain much), and if I hadn't seen the loose tooth, I wouldn't have had any idea that it was bad.
Is this common in pets nowadays? Are there any risks to waiting and letting it fall out on its own? Or should I just bite the bullet and shell out he cash for the kitty dentist, no matter how ridiculous that sounds?

Cats are disposable, like paper plates. Why fix up a cat when you can go to the shelter and get a new younger one for $10 bucks. I'm sure it will ignore you and crap in the mulch just as well as the last one.

They then get free meals and some spending cash... Those who do not choose to try to support themselves do not deserve ''your'' sympathy...

I do not have the statistics of homeless people who are able or unable to work for whatever reason..
I ''think'' it's safe to lay out a hypothesis, that most american homeless are afflicted with mental disorders that hinder decision making capabilities leading to jobless and homeless tendencies within that sector of our society...
And the homeless who are treated for their ailments and prescribed psychological medications but but fail to keep up with the daily requirement stated on the pill bottle,which leads to more unrational decisions that result in being fired and kicked to the curb resulting in being homeless and without food, Again.
And from my observation of working on construction sites, I have personally witnessed construction companies hire the homeless through labor pool operations that pay the min/wage hourly rate and allow the destitute to work in our society..
$200 dollars a week doesn't go far when these homeless people who are diagnosed or undiagnosed or fail to follow doctors orders on the daily pill intake.
End up self medicating to to lessen their paranoid or illusionary thoughts in their mind brought on by mental disorders..Leaving their fat paycheck seriously diminished to afford rent or a 7 day a week food eating habit
And not only are the homeless in a fugged up situation to begin with, they now have more competetion for those min/wage jobs by the illegal alien explosion in america so We americans don't have to mow our own lawns and pay $6 dollars for a head of lettuce, and to keep the price of TV's, Radios and Nintendo game systems cheap for our self interest...
I directed my response to all "able bodied and able minded" homeless...must have been one of your drug induced blackouts that caused you to miss that part. I don't know much about mental illness, so I refrain from discussing that issue.
If somebody is only qualified to work a min wage job, get some roomates and start clipping coupons. Work 2 min wage jobs. Just don't throw your dignity to the curb and start looking for handouts.
What if the illegals were homeless in Mexico? Is it ok for them to take the jobs?

Only Problem is, there are Homeless people who work at labor pool companies
for min/wage and still are homeless and without food at times during the week...
Inherited mental diseases combined with addictions are the reasons that these people are Homeless...There are other reasons to be sure...
I have helped out homeless individuals on occassion....One time I provided a room in my house for $75 a week to a homeless latino construction worker.
I am not denying the fact of some people to drunk 24/7 to get off the sidewalk and go to work and at least earn $ for food...Alcohol is a very POWERFULL addiction in some people......
Food pantries and Food Drives are needed in America for many a reason.
By your logic, every time somebody gets a job somebody else loses one? I wonder who got fired when I was hired at my company? How is expecting able bodied people to work hard and support themselves without handouts socialist? Seems pretty capitalistic to me.

I feel very little sympathy for someone who chose to do drugs or drink themselves useless. I know, I should see them as victims and they deserve our pity and money right? It is an insult to anyone who has cancer, MS or any real disease to say that a crack addict has a disease and it isn't their fault.
If you are an adult and unable to get a job earning more than minnimum wage, it is most likely due to bad decisions you made in your life. How did all poor people get lumped under the "less fortunate" label? That label is a great indicator of the victim mentality this country now embraces. Some poor people are simply "less motivated".

I have busted my knee up and had it scoped twice...torn ACL in fball and torn cartilage with a dislocated knee cap skiing. Bummer, but torn cartilage may or may not need surgery, and the surgery is just a cleaning up type procedure. Should I have sued the ski resort for putting a mogul in a bad spot? If I was that dude, I would not be suing the buffalo bills over that. I would want my medical bills paid for, and disability if i couldn't work for awhile, but that's it. And that most likely should come from the security company he was working for, not the Bills.
Why is it that the people who sue for 'pain and suffering' are the ones who are pu$$ies and feel much more pain and suffer more than the typical person? I'm sure not everyone will agree...but if u don't you are a pu$$y too.
I agree! Maybe we could sue this guy for pain and suffering endured through concern for the Bills. His lawsuit has caused me to lose sleep and elevate my blood pressure. What's that worth...$500,000, $1,000,000?
