Good QB. Terrible human. If someone wants to pay him, then go for it. I just will never be a Michael Vick supporter. America can forgive and forget, but I can't.

Settle down Francis, where there is smoke there is fire. Look I can post articles too! Try reading some of these before spouting off with your righteousness. http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/sports/Jay-Cutler-Not-a-Nice-Guy-55549197.html http://bleacherreport.com/articles/98033-is-jay-cutler-a-punk http://everyjoe.com/sports/jay-cutler-alienating-bears-fans/ http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?id=6017986

Cutler is notorious for being a jerk. Whether he could or could not have played has nothing to do with the venom he is receiving. You reap what you sow, and at the first moment of weakness, Karma is doing its thing. No doubt he was hurt and probably couldn't have played, but his attitude and indifference to everyone around him has made him a target. That's why everyone is piling on.

Good article by Gaughn on Buddy Nix Today

I like Urbik at guard, I think if you add a RT in FA, the line is actually fairly solid -

When Merriman was asked about Maybin, he said something along the lines of: He has the physical tool, but he needs to learn how to play football. To me that makes a lot of sense, he has the physical tools to be a good player, he just really runs around like a spaz out there with what seems to be very little football intelligence.

Packers fan fired from Chicago-area job

While I agree it's just sports, i disagree that it wasn't a big deal. I work in sales and marketing, the sole purpose of a salesman's existence is to develop a relationship with someone. You are selling the car as much as you are selling your appearance, customer service, and likability. The car on their lot that gets 30 MPG is the same car that gets 30 MPG on someone elses lot. You are selling the intangibles of your dealership and you are selling the experience. If even one person left the dealership that day because the tie put them off, then it is a big deal. While most of us live in the lovely world of rationality, dealing with customer service issues has given me a unique perspective that not everyone who is a current or perspective client, lives such a grounded existence. Also, his job is at-will employment, meaning either side can terminate the relationship at any time. His boss issued a direct request to remove the tie, he didn't. He had a choice and was given every opportunity to remove it, and he didn't. Do i think it's stupid he was fired for wearing a tie, yes. But I can understand the rationale behind it. -

insubordination... he was wearing something that potential customers may find in poor taste given the circumstances. If he had wore the tie in to the job just to get a reaction out of his co-workers, and then changed to a different tie, that would have been no problem. He potentially could have been costing the dealership sales and money. He knew what he was doing and was just being a pain. -
If I were a Billionaire with a Billion dollar company, I would take care of my family too. As long as she's not calling plays on Sunday who cares?

Great career move for Moran if he does actually agree to this.

Never ever thought I would say this as long as I live..... but i'm rooting for the Patriots in this one

"and that's why the Bills are still the Bills" - ugh -
Why pass when you can get 6 yards a pop on the ground. I agree bring him back, but he seemed to take a lot more penalties this year as opposed to last year.

Per Tim Kawakami (http://twitter.com/#!/timkawakami) - Mercury News Sports Columnist Would the entire state of Carolina cry itself to sleep if this is true?

Can I ask why everyone is so high on Batten? I'm not saying we should or shouldn't be, just curious where the enthusiasm is coming from

Do you honestly believe that 6 minorities are head coaches due to this rule, or that this rule really played a hand in the fact these coaches were hired? Maybe I am being naive because I don't care about race/color/ethnicity, and would never make a judgment based on that. I believe that Owners and General Managers make the call on who pilots their on field product based on qualifications, and not any other factors. Do I think the league has always been this way? That answer is no. Do I think the rule might have made sense 30 years ago? Yes. I don't think the Rooney rule has any place in the league anymore because it is not necessary. The Vikings want Frazier, good, go get it done. The Cowboys want Garrett, go, get that done.
-
The point was drawing a contrast between the Vikings and the Cowboys. Both teams clearly have their successor in place, but only one can make it public which direction they are going in due to a completely misguided rule. I think its a valid point to make and a good discussion to have.
-
The Vikings are reportedly going to be removing the "interim" label from HC Leslie Frazier's title. The Cowboys are denying that Jason Garrett is going to have the "interim" label removed from his title, as they would have to interview a minority candidate to comply with the Rooney Rule before naming Garrett their new Head Coach. Just another example as to how the Rooney Rule process is an insult to everyone involved.

Shawne Merriman tweets "exciting news for bills fans"

Does anyone know the extent of what his injury is right now? I know it's his achilles, but is it torn, partially torn, something needing surgery or just good ol' rest. I know he has a bunch of time to get healthy for '11, but i'm curious what's going on with the injuries... -
Guys, playing safety isn't all about breaking up passes, getting interceptions, making tackles at the line of scrimmage in run support, or getting a few sacks every year. It's about heart......

I watched the video 3 times and I never saw the dude get pancaked, plus he was wearing a helmet. Everyone knows Maybin never wears a helmet.

Fixed that for you..... oh one can dream

I don't understand why the refs keep blowing close plays dead. Cost us a touchdown today...... let it play out and then let them challenge it.
