Once Purdy gets rattled, he just doesn't have it. And he looks rattled. -

Meanwhile over at Russel Street Report (Ravens Fan Forum)

Lamar is solid, and he is a great athlete, but he never has been, nor will he ever be the passer that JA is. That's just a fact most of the bobbleheads on TV will never admit. Today, the Flowers fumble at the goal line killed their chances. That KC defense is playing well. I knew Lamar would have trouble. With all of the talent in the AFC, I just don't see Lamar ever getting a SB. He's not on the level of Mahomes, Allen, and Burrow. -

I remember when a bunch of people and bobbleheads on TV were talking trash about the Lions taking Gibbs. He and Montgomery are now one of, if not the best RB duos in the NFL. -

Watch all of the excuses that will be made for Lamar tomorrow. Every bobblehead on every station will be a Lamar apologist. But they rake Allen over the coals and pick him apart. -
It's been a good ride. They're the OG's who've been here on this defense since 2017. Hyde needs to do the smart thing and retire, but we will not be bringing him back regardless. I believe they keep Poyer for the 2024 season, unless they find a replacement they are comfortable with.

You may feel that way, but he may not. I think he's done.

Bill is 71 years old. He has won 6 SB's as a HC and been a part of others as a DC. There's really nothing left for him to do or prove. I honestly think he's done. I don't think he'll coach again now that he didn't get the Falcons job. I think he ends up on TV somewhere doing pregame/post game work.

Falcons hire Rams DC Raheem Morris as head coach
H2o replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
I honestly think Morris may be better this time around due to the time he spent with McVay. The key to his success or failure will be the staff he puts together on the offensive side of the ball. Don't be surprised if he poaches a couple guys from LA. -
Looks like Leonard Floyd won't give the Bills a discount to resign him.
H2o replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
No, I don't either. Epenesa is younger. I'm talking about the annual average. -
Owners talk about winning, but I bet some of them just stay par for the course if they still continue to make $$$ hand over fist. Probably sad, but true.

I would rather re-sign Epenesa than re-sign Floyd, especially if we're talking similar $$$.- 83 replies

Miami is going to find themselves in trouble rather quick. They have huge cap hits with guys like Hill, Ramsey, Chubb, and Xavien Howard. Then Chubb likely won't even play next year due to how late the ACL tear happened. Read somewhere that Terron Armstead might be retiring, which would trigger an even larger cap hit as well as leave a hole on their OL. Jaylen Waddle and Jaelen Phillips are entering the 4th years of their deal. Phillips is also coming off an achilles tear he just had repaired in late November. Their list of FA's is long, including Christian Wilkins who will likely chase the $$$ elsewhere. Top it off with the fact their GM is about to sign Tua to a LT, big $$$ contract. Then they just can't seem to get things right on the defensive side of the ball. I almost pity the Fish fans.

I agree with the bold part most definitely. This year we could have easily been the #1 seed if we didn't lose to some bad teams. The underlined and italic part, I do not. I think LB's are very important in this defense. Bernard was the key cog in our defense all year long. His athleticism, understanding of the defense, and instincts are off the charts. He was exactly what we needed at the MLB spot. You have to take into account the guys we lost. We lost our All Pro Matt Milano early. We lost Bernard for this, the most important game of the year. We lost Spector. Then Dodson was playing hampered by a shoulder injury. The athletic drop off between Bernard and Dodson is quite a bit. The drop off of Klein to Dodson and Bernard is definitely evident. Dorian Williams, though supremely athletic, isn't up to speed with this defense and his responsibilities yet mentally. In this matchup we were facing the greatest TE in NFL history, again. If we have a healthy Bernard, I think the defensive performance looks a lot different on Sunday. From the calls, to the pre-snap adjustments, I think everything would have played out different. It is what it is though, and the result is the result no matter how it is rationalized.

Bro hasn't figured out how to prevent this from happening yet? Got like 5 kids from 4 different baby mama's. He's gonna be broke within 5 years of retirement.
