He's a good player. The concussions so close to one another at the end of the season were scary and make you wonder if it will ne a recurring theme. One hopes not. If he is looking to squeeze every penny out of an organization he possibly can, it won't happen here. They pay their players here in Buffalo, but they don't tend to really overpay for their players here in Buffalo. I'm sure they have a number that they are willing to go to, but not exceed. If Benford and his agent push for more than that, they will let him walk.

Dane was absolutely horrendous in the Carolina defense. I think he fits better here if we're running a lot of zone. If we plan on going to a more man coverage based scheme, then he is a rotational 4th or 5th man off the bench type of player. No matter which scheme we run, I hope he isn't forced into a lot of reps. And I also hope McDermott doesn't put him in with the starters just for seniority's sake.

I feel like he was never really healthy in his time here. He made some timely plays, especially against KC. That TD catch against the Jets was nice as well. I expected more, but I'm not sure what the root cause was. I'd take him back on a lower-end deal if he wanted to be here.

Well, at least we know he wasn't drunk when he posted it
-
Supposedly in House's wallet, wherever on God's green earth that may be.
-
I remember when people wanted us spend a high draft pick on him.
-
He pretty much got them in the Playoffs a couple years ago. Saved their season, if you will.
-
He could end up being their starter is A-A-Ron doesn't sign there.

I think the lack of news on this front, especially in light of the other signings and re-signings we have made, is because Beane and Co. have placed a number on Cook's value. They will not exceed that number. No matter how much he lobbies, no matter what Cook does publicly to stir the pot, or privately behind closed doors, whether on his own or through his agent, Beane and Co. are not going to exceed that limit.

He'll go to KC and have a good year if he stays healthy

Good for him. He gets a fresh start in Dallas. Good for us. We get another 5th, which was more than I thought we would.

Joey Bosa signs with Buffalo. 1 year, $12.6 million

Me too. I hope we have him for his 4th full season in 10 years. I hope he rearing to go come Playoff time. If he is, I think he will be a big factor. -
As long as he's just for depth and not going to be a starter again. He was a liability most of the time in coverage.
-
Meh, not really feeling this one. That $8M would have been better served spent on the Secondary or a different player altogether. This guy is not impressive by any means.
-
No. If it was Hopkins 3 years ago, sure. This Hopkins only had 41 catches for 437 yards with Mahomes throwing the ball and Reid scheming the offense. He's gonna have a hard time living up to that in Baltimore.

Rate the FA period thus far (Earth Shattering Joey Bosa Update!)
H2o replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't know about "earth shattering", but I like the Bosa signing. I'm glad we extended Groot, Bernard, and Shakir. I'm glad we re-signed Johnson. I kinda like the Josh Palmer signing. Scouting report says he runs crisp routes that get him open. Out of his 39 catches, 28 went for 1st downs. That's a 71% clip. I believe he is more of our new Gabe Davis. I'd like for us to get a CB before the draft, depth or whatever. The cupboard is pretty bare and Elam doesn't look like he's ever gonna amount to anything. Overall, I think it's a solid B thus far. -

All of those guys I listed have the size, the base, and the power to play the 1-tech. My preferences are Grant, Walker, Collins, or Caldwell. Williams is a solid option also. -

No, not that Jordan Phillips my friend. Jordan Phillips from Maryland in the upcoming draft. He's a day 3 option as a 1-tech -

Grant is 330lbs+. Deone Walker is 340lbs. Alfred Collins is 320lbs. Omar Norman-Lott is 315lbs. CJ West is 316lbs. Jordan Phillips is 320lbs. I did forget Jamaree Caldwell who is also 340lbs. ALL of these guys truly could fill the position and we just need two. Tyleik Williams, yeah, he could be one of the two as well. -

Kenneth Grant, Alfred Collins, Deone Walker, Omar Norman-Lott, Jordan Phillips, CJ West, give me two big guys for the 1-Tech who can eat up blockers. -

Yeah, I don't think there is any way Cincy would send Hendrickson to the Bills. Adebo signed with the Giants. -

Yes. I like the signing. I like the player. I'm just stating his injury history. That is all. That's why I said it could be high reward as well. -

High risk because of his injury history. He's made a full season 3 times in 9 years.
