  1. Absolutely, because both teams had playoff aspirations that were on the line. It was a game with more build up and pressure than Dallas was at the time. We were coming down the stretch, jockeying for position, and coming off of a tough loss to the Ravens. We lose that game and we may not have gotten in.
  2. We beat them, Duck, and the refs that game. Quite a few phantom holds on us, no calls on them, and outright crap penalties, especially in the last 3 minutes of that game. They were handed EVERY opportunity to tie that game up and the defense shut them down.
  3. I was happy as could by when the Jets hired Gase. I knew that he would waste at least 2 years of Darnold's career in NY, if not more, and possibly ruin the entire thing. I was also happy when they hired Gregg because I know at some point his ego and Gase's coupled together will cause the same reaction as a Mento dropped in a Coke bottle. This season is definitely getting off on the "good foot" so to speak.
  4. The must be something they did for "Pride Month"?
  5. Peyton Manning made that guy rich, a supposed hot commodity, and helped him land two HC gigs basically. Look at Tannehill after he got away from Gase. He's not a top 5 QB or anything like that, but it was night and from Miami to Tennessee.
  6. The Jets will continue to be this swamp of misery as long as Gase remains the coach. They have disrespected their players at every turn and it cost them this year in FA. All of the big names they chased chose to sign elsewhere. They got left with mainly 2nd tier and 3rd tier FA's, outside of Pierre Desir who is actually a solid player. The fines, the handling of medical issues, throwing people under the bus, trying to trade their star players last year at the trade deadline, they are about as poorly run an organization can be. Joe Douglas did put together a decent draft imo, but Gase is still the coach of those players. I hope they keep him around because it's beautiful to watch the misery, but I'd be surprised if he's not chasing a floating taco out the door after this season.
  7. Let the fun begin in NY, this time even before the season starts
  8. Sheppard for Hughes. We fleeced Indy. Getting a 3rd for Tyrod has to be up there as well.
  9. I honestly think Duke ends up being cut as the two WR's we drafted (Davis/Hodgins) are younger, signed for the long term, can fill the same role, and have upside. Foster may likely be sent packing as well. I think a trade of a player or two along the OL is more likely than just an outright cut, similar to what we did with Bodine last year. On the defensive side it's hard to say. Norman was great in this scheme in Carolina, not so much in Man responsibilities in Washington. EJ Gaines was really good in this defense in 2017, but has a long list of injuries over his career and can't seem to stay healthy. Wallace seemed to get burnt on a regular basis last season, especially on 3rd downs. It's hard to say because you know our staff loves "their guys", but in this instance they are all "their guys" in one way or another. Dimarco is a waste of space so I wouldn't mind seeing him go as well, but he and Murphy are two of McD's faves as well as Lee "Back it up 5 yards" Smith.
  10. QB - (B-) We need Josh to stay healthy. Barkley is an average backup at best and Fromm is fresh off the boat. Josh gets a B+ alone, but the other two guys bring it down to a B-. RB - (B) I see Singletary and Moss being better than what we had last year in Singletary and Gore. TE - (C+) I really like Knox, but I sure hope he's worked on catching the football this offseason. Smith is still a penalty machine, Croom is athletic, and Sweeney has some potential. WR - (B+) This could be an A+ by season's end if one of Davis/Williams/Hodgins can become that guy Josh just heaves the ball up to because he'll get those 50/50's almost every time. Diggs is a big time play maker, Brown was really good for us, and Beasley kills it from the slot. We might also get 1st year Foster back. Who knows? This unit could be special. OL - (B) This unit is a solid B right now with the starters we have returning and the depth along the front. There may be some really tough cuts, or trades, come August. DL - (B) We lost JP and Shaq in FA, but added Addison, Butler, and Jefferson. Harrison Phillips will be back from injury. We also stole Epenesa in the latter part of the 2nd. We'll have to see how the puzzle fits together, but could easily be a solid B+ or even an A by year's end. LB - (B+) I know we lost Lorax, but we mainly run a lot of 2 LB sets anyway. Milano is really good (outside of a few missed tackles) and Edmunds is a superstar in the making. The 3rd guy could be any of the number of Klein, Joseph, Dodson, Thompson, whoever. We do have a pretty good group this year though imo. S - (A) Poyer and Hyde are one of the best tandems in the game. Our depth is solid as well. CB - (B) We all know Tre is a top 3 CB in this league. After that it gets murky. Which Josh Norman will we see, Carolina Josh or Washington Josh? Can EJ Gaines remain healthy long enough to contribute and will he be as effective as he was before for us? Where does Levi Wallace fit in and can he be trusted to match up one on one with WR's? He got roasted quite a bit last year, especially on 3rd downs. Hopefully Taron Johnson stays healthy and continues to progress. Overall I like our depth and think this unit could be a solid A as well by the end of the season. ST - (C) Though I like the addition of Bass, he's never kicked in an NFL game yet. Hausch Money may be Hausch Homeless before too long. We still have CB as our punter and the only competition we brought in was Vedvik? Get ready to see some shanks again this year. I don't even know if Roberts makes the roster, but I'm sure we could easily find another punt catcher/kick off kneeler/return man from this roster without any issues. I like our return coverage as we have some really good ST players out there. This, however, is by far our weakest unit. Field position and making the most of your scoring opportunities are essential to winning football. Hopefully the kicking game is on point this year.
  11. Dude went after him like he was Johnny Utah chasing down Bodhi
  12. No apology necessary, though I appreciate it. Have a good day my friend.
  13. Victim what? Where did I say I was a victim? Where do you get that from in anything that I said? This statement makes absolutely no sense. So, now you are trying to silence my opinion because I'm not a moderator? Kind of double standard-like isn't it? The same people will be opposed who are opposed now. The same people who don't care are going to not care. The same people who are for it will remain for it. No matter the name, no matter the color, no matter the athlete, coach, owner, or whoever doing it. It's the same arguments from all sides since 2016. Nothing has changed except the names. You're obviously confused as to the point I am making though so there's really nothing left for me to say here. Continue on with your 1A right to bicker about whatever it is you choose.
  14. Did I say shut down all of them? Nope. I said make a subforum, hence free speech is still in full effect. Your right to bicker and claim your opinion is the correct opinion still stands. Syh all you want. The incessant pissing and moaning that goes back and forth, mainly in the same responses just over a different name, is quite tired at this point.
  15. Do we have to have a new thread about every single person who says they are going to kneel, then rehash the exact same arguments over and over and over again? It's growing quite tiresome. Why not just have one "kneeling" subforum where the people who love to get into pissing matches can have at it so we can stick to the actual game on here?
  16. Yes, but WHO does he plan to knee during the anthem? If it's Landry, I would pay to see that.
  17. Romo to Prescott, even though neither is in the elite category
  18. Nope. We have guys who are in need of being re-signed and the possibility of a cap that goes down next year. Why trade for a RB looking for BIG $$$ when we already have Singletary locked up for this season, plus 2 more at the least, and a rookie RB we just drafted in the 3rd this year?
  19. Simms is a big JA fan, always has been. He always holds him in high regard and defends JA when Florio or others would try to bash him. This is not surprising.
