Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah - Possible Milano Replacement
H2o replied to H2o's topic in College Football
Not really. I'm keeping my eye on a bunch of OLB's this year to see who would fit our scheme because Milano leaving is a very real possibility. The biggest thing is going to be $$$. Unless Milano takes a hometown discount then he won't be here. We are facing a decreased salary cap due to Covid and have to plan accordingly. $12,000,000-$14,000,000 for Milano is not in the cards I don't believe. It's only a small sample size this season, 2 games with the Wake game being PP, but he looks stronger without having lost any speed after putting on about 15lbs in the offseason. I want to see how he does against Louisville, BC, Pitt, UNC, and Clemson though. It's a tough schedule this year for the Irish playing that ACC slate and some pretty solid rushing attacks on deck. Milano is only listed at 221lbs and at this point JOK is listed at 216lbs, though they say he is 220lbs. One thing I have noticed about JOK is he plays with solid gap integrity, has instincts that you can't teach, and doesn't get caught up in the wash. In coverage? You said it, the guy is outstanding in coverage. -

A has been still salty he didn't get to buy the team and move it to Canada. Awwwwwe, how special. -
This situation and the situation now arising with the Pats has me concerned about the season. I fully expect all of the people to recover because of the statistics behind the virus, but this could turn into a crapshow real quick if people keep coming up positive as far as navigating through games on the schedule.

Sam Darnold - AC joint sprain in throwing shoulder
H2o replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everyone knew he went back in the locker room, got a pain injection, and trotted back out there. At this point they are already 0-4 and it's another wash of a season. They should just sit him until healthy. -

Now we can only hope for the Carolina version...

He hurt himself trying to trip the RB on that one play.

1. OLB - If Milano is not retained this will be the biggest need on defense imo. 2. CB - The #2 CB position is a clear weakness as well, but we have EJ Gaines coming back next year who did excel when healthy in this system. 3. DE - We'll see how things play out, but it never hurts to get a top end pass rushing prospect. 4. OL - If a prospect they like falls into our lap then building the trenches is never a bad option. 5. DT - Same reason as #4 and they could both be interchanged. We may want to look into drafting a TRUE 1-Tech for this defense. This would be the order I'm looking in, but you always go BPA. If BPA is a Safety then so be it. If BPA is a RB then so be it. Maybe we trade out of the first and pick up another 2nd and 3rd? If that's what happens then so be it. I trust Beane with this franchise more than I have trusted any other GM in my lifetime at this point.
