  1. ESPN just said on SC it's a done deal
  2. Good for Daboll. Promote Dorsey. Josh is still here. The offense won't miss a beat.
  3. I'll watch just because I know there are only 3 games left until August. The only hope I have is that KC loses in one of those.
  4. Yeah, I don't doubt Josh's talent in the slightest. I think he would be successful no matter what. I just don't want us to end up with an OC who "thinks he knows best" all the time. I do think there is actually something to having continuity and these guys, Daboll/Dorsey, have been with him for 4 years now. I'm not saying we would be doomed if they both left, just that I think it could possibly have a negative effect in the short term. Frazier leaving, though I think losing a guy with that kind of knowledge is always tough, wouldn't be as much of an issue because McDermott's background is this defense we run. Losing all three would trickle over into a lot of things. Maybe multiple coaches going with those who left and significant changes going into the 2022 season. Sure, with the talent we have on this team Buffalo is absolutely a premier destination for an OC candidate. You get two established stars in Allen and Diggs, along with some up and coming players like Davis and Knox.
  5. If we were to lose all 3 of Frazier, Daboll, and Dorsey then this team would take a hit imo. I've always thought Dorsey was our OC in waiting. That would mean Josh, Diggs, Davis, Knox, and whoever else would be starting over in a completely new system. I don't like it.
  6. The FO just gave Josh a quarter of a BILLION $$$....... Of course McDermott is sabotaging the unit that protects their investment
  7. It's going to be interesting to see how Beane moves the $$$ around. I know many people wouldn't be a big fan of it, but don't be surprised if Edmunds gets an extension that lowers his cap number to make some room. I fully expect Beasley to be released and some of that money we gain used to re-sign McKenzie. I also fully expect Klein to be released to save that $5.2M as well. I also wouldn't be surprised to see them let Matakevich go either as his $3.25M cap hit for a ST player is pretty steep considering what we are up against cap wise. That would add another $2.5M back to the books. If Morse retires, or is cut, that's another $8M. All in total, I expect us to hit FA with around $24-$27M. That isn't really much to work with if we are trying to keep some of our guys about to hit the FA market.
  8. A Practice Squad player was released. Half of TBD:
  9. I'm going to say Poyer comes up with two INT's lurking in the middle of the field this game.
  10. Nope, it was @Hapless Bills Fan's witchery.
  11. To me, my POV probably a bit skewed as a Bills fan, Josh Allen IS the MVP right now. Show me a team that is more dependent on their QB than the Buffalo Bills. He is basically the entire offense with our lack of a true running game. Week in and week out the game is on his shoulders. Without him we are at best a 4 or 5 win team right now. If Josh gets it done the next two weeks, keeping the same pace, and leading us to the division title, then there's no reason he shouldn't get the award. Will he? Probably not because the media and sports journalists still drool over Mahomes, Rodgers, everyone flashing this year except Allen, but he should. Another guy I would agree is deserving though is Jonathan Taylor. He is the major reason the Colts are back in it.
  12. We do have a solid group of young players. Opinions on here will vary from week to week though. One week everyone loves what Beane and McDermott have been doing, the next week they're wanting to run them out of town on a rail. I also think Bates showed he belonged last week stepping in against a tough NE defensive front. We do have some people coming up on contracts though and we won't keep them all. It will be interesting to see how the offseason plays out, what we choose to address, and how we choose to address it. I still have full confidence in the FO and Coaching Staff to keep this going in the right direction.
  13. I think the Montgomery run was deserving. Kind of reminded me of a Marion Barber type of play. All of them were quality candidates though.
  14. This aged well. All of NBC Boston this morning :
  15. Curran: Josh Allen's Bills expose a hard truth in stomping of Pats "I don’t know who the f--- they thought I was!" Allen yelled at Bills defensive tackle Harrison Phillips, per Fairburn. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/bills-players-relish-beating-patriots-143856503.html This isn't your 2018-2019 Josh Allen anymore. He was taking the quick check downs when he saw the coverages, running with purpose, and dropping dimes out there. It was awesome to watch.
  16. JA17 put the team on his back and carried us to victory. MVP candidate again. Without him we're a 5 win team. McKenzie does his best Beasley impression and comes up huge. Hyde made some big defensive plays, fresh off a Pro Bowl snub. Diggs was huge too. Love this team. Go Bills!!!!!
  17. I don't think we have any cap space at this point.
  18. Kind of like Jacksonville did
  19. I want to see Deforest Buckner and Darius Leonard plant Mac Jones in the ground like a baby tree on Earth Day.
  20. As would AJ Dillon
  21. I think the main thing, and the leg up Dorsey has, is his familiarity with Josh and what he likes to do on the field. We need a better run game coordinator for sure and possibly even an OL coach. I say possibly an OL coach because it is likely just as much what he has to work with as it is the coaching. I would also like to see Josh set up under Center more so the play action could actually be of more use. Two out of our 3 RB's are slow and the other just doesn't strike fear into anyone, even though he has a bit of speed. Trying to run or use play action out of the Shotgun isn't really going to yield us results. No one fears us running the football and Daboll has no answer for it. It's all on Josh, every game, every week. I, for one, wouldn't be mad if Daboll isn't back with the team next year.
  22. I think most people knew this would happen eventually, but the true Urban Meyer surfaced faster than expected to help accelerate the process.
  23. The only game we weren't in this year was the game against Indy. They walloped us. The difference against Pittsburgh was a blocked punt returned for a TD. We know what happened against Jacksonville. A fluke 4th down slip by Josh cost us against Tennessee. If we cash in on any number of opportunities against NE we win that game (dropped TD passes, Bass misses a FG). Last night Josh did everything he possibly could to get us back into the game against Tampa. The refs still love Tommy Boy and the defense did step up when they needed to.
  24. If the switch hasn't flipped for Edmunds yet then I don't believe it ever will. He gets fortunate enough to guess the right gap to shoot every now and again where he makes a solid play. But his lack of instincts and inconsistency still shows through too often. He will never be Keuchley. We need an upgrade.
