  1. And yes that is great advice for us poor folk. But it doesn't apply when you are making 500 million!
  2. It won't matter what our 4th quarter song is this season with no fans cheering in the crowd
  3. Yeah I remember when 716 first opened my two immediate thoughts were: 1) Man this would've been cool to have during the 05-07 Sabres runs 2) This will be great when the Sabres become a legitimate contender again(at that time I was still optimistic that Pegula was gonna bring us back to glory). That was really the only level of excitement I had for the place And yes all of WNY was electric during those years! I have been trying to catch some of the Sabres Classics airing on MSG right now showing all those playoff games and it was making me think about how fun it was to live in WNY during those years and what an unbelievable atmosphere it was. Buffalo in the Spring when the Sabres are a legit playoff team is one of the most fun places to be!
  4. It would be a cool novelty if the Sabres ever made the playoffs and brought back a buzz to the downtown area when everybody is looking to go out somewhere to watch the games but sadly that hasn't come to fruition. But as a stand alone restaurant agreed and I think most people feel the same.
  5. Yeah I was excited when it was first announced but also thought it might've just been a puff piece because MJ was always very protective of what he let the public see but after reading some articles about it he said he didn't leave any subject off the table and some of the things that will be discussed include his gambling problems, his father's murder, the fact that he knows the public perception of him is not good etc....once I read about that I got really excited. This could end up being the best 30 for 30 yet. So far I think the NBA ones have been better than the ones about NFL teams.
  6. If he failed for marijuana it will have zero impact on his draft status in today's climate
  7. Any 90s NBA fans on here? The hype for this upcoming 30 for 30 about MJ's Chicago Bulls has been through the charts this past week(and really starting long before then). I'm pretty stoked to see this one, it is being compared to the series they did on OJ Simpson as far as being one of the best 30 for 30's they've ever made. Anybody else excited for this?
  8. You don't trade a first round pick when your picking in the Top 10's....when you have a back end pick in the first round and you have an opportunity to get a guaranteed talent still in their prime you can pull the trigger on dealing that pick. Beane knows how to play the game
  9. What have you been watching? That was some fantastic hockey. I really hope they do a 30 for 30 on the Detroit-Colorado rivalry someday
  10. I've been watching football long enough where the eye test is good enough for me. I know when I am watching good defense. The statistics usually back it up though
  11. Does anybody remember the 2007 game against the Giants? I remember it wasn't snowing but more of a slushy rain falling and that was probably the coldest game I can remember sitting at in our stadium(I was at the 8-0 snow game in Cleveland that year too). That Giants just completely manhandled us. I don't remember specific plays from the game but from being there in person they were clearly a much more physical team than we were. They didn't have a good record but that was the year they went on to beat the undefeated Patriots team in the Super Bowl. Watching them beat Green Bay in the NFC championship game and then beat NE in the Super Bowl I would think back to that miserable day at the stadium where the Giants just beat the s*** out of us.
  12. All you pansies complaining about the elements better get ready for more games like this in the upcoming years
  13. McMahon really needs to give up on this idea of running a football league and focus on making pro wrestling great again(doubt it ever happens)
  14. I knew this was only a matter of time from the beginning. I was surprised it took as long as it did before they shut down the courses.
  15. 1,3, 8....Spongecandy would be the easiest for me to live without but I still like it a lot though lol. WNY food is the best food!
  16. I get the point your trying to make and I'm sure all teams get out and enjoy themselves a bit during Super Bowl week but the Bills were notoriously known for not having any restraint during the Super Bowl weeks. Even Dallas Cowboys players have commented that they reigned things back the few nights before the game but the Bills didn't. I'm not one of those people that think that's the only reason they didn't win the Super Bowls but the whole partying too much during Super Bowl week does have some merit to it and after losing four straight that is something that is always going to be attached to those teams.
  17. That is something I had completely forgotten about lol, but now that you mention I can remember going there to get concert tickets and tickets to WWF when they came to town. It feels like that was a lifetime ago
  18. The Problem Child movies were great. Dennis the Menace I still to this day think The Muppet Family Christmas Special is the best Christmas special of all-time. Something to keep in mind for your little ones when the holiday season rolls around this year. Pretty sure you can watch it off YouTube.
  19. I might be biased but I don't think there was a better time for growing up than in the 90s period. It was such an awesome time
  20. The Sandlot Little Giants Mighty Ducks Heavyweights Angles in the Outfield Mr. Nanny
  21. Agree on Fletcher. Disagree about Poz, would say he was only an average NFL caliber linebacker. Certainly never lived up to his draft hype. Fletcher was awesome though
