Good OL depth is the key. Having backups that can capabably fill in without having to adjust the game plan when a starter goes down. The Bills need at least 2 more guys--that hopefully will come in this draft (regardless of round taken)--that can improve on the group we have now.

What a can of worms...

No one is going to "call the cops" on Ralph for saying we'll talk to you after 4:00 pm. If that was the case, no player would ever sign in the first hours of free agency, of which there's been plenty of examples over the years.

Fingers crossed that one of those guys will be available. To me, the O-line's success last year was like the winter weather we had in Buffalo this year--nice, but hardly something we can count on occuring again soon. We need to beef up the starting group and have better backup depth for when the inevitable injury bug hits. Much more important than WRs, IMO...

Here's the comment that caught my eye: "Buddy is a great talent guy. On top of it, he's a hard worker. He goes around to all these schools. He doesn't let somebody else tell him this guy is a first-round pick or a top-round pick unless he's seen him and talked to him. Buddy changed the whole thing around when he got there." I remember reading that Tom Donohoe never talked to/visited with Mike Williams prior to his selection. That seemed really odd when you think about making such a critical commitment to a player. The "someone else telling him a guy is a top-round pick" statement certainly resonates in that instance. Bottom line: It's good to have an old fashioned player personnel man in charge of the team again...
