  1. Even at 1600 Pennsytucky Ave...
  2. Yep. That's the connection to McD, who played as a 5th year senior under him...
  3. Closed mindedness is a terrible thing to waste...
  4. And yet, he's been repeatly hired by some of the best NFL and D-1 college minds (Bellichick, Reid and Saban) and hasn't sat out a year due to lack of demand. What do they know that we don't? Coaching career (HC unless noted) 1997 William & Mary (REC) 1998–1999 Michigan State (GA) 2000–2001 New England Patriots (DA) 2002–2006 New England Patriots (WR) 2007–2008 New York Jets (QB) 2009–2010 Cleveland Browns (OC) 2011 Miami Dolphins (OC) 2012 Kansas City Chiefs (OC) 2013 New England Patriots (OA) 2014–2016 New England Patriots (TE) 2017 Alabama (OC/QB) 2018–present Buffalo Bills (OC)
  5. I suspect he leaned that being in NE for so long... http://www.patriots.com/video/2014/11/04/press-pass-coach-brian-daboll
  6. Based on the WOAT QBs he had, that makes perfect sense....
  7. LOL...Daboll's gotta be good given that so many on TSW are against the hire. This should be fun...
  8. http://www.al.com/alabamafootball/index.ssf/2017/02/what_brian_daboll_others_have.html New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniel on Daboll: Jan. 28, 2015 "Every day he's got his hands in the game-planning process, the preparation, the scouting report. He's a guy that I lean on significantly in my role. Brian's involved in every meeting we have, whether it's red-zone, third-down, goal-line, short-yardage. His tight ends are going to be right in the middle of that anyway. His expertise, his knowledge and the experience he brings is tremendous." --McDaniel, according to the Buffalo News
  9. http://www.al.com/alabamafootball/index.ssf/2017/02/what_brian_daboll_others_have.html Former Cleveland QB Bernie Kosar on Daboll's time as Browns offensive coordinator -- "(Cleveland) had a real shortage of talent. It was not a systemic or play-calling thing, though he got a lot of flak for that. The issue was a lack of players. This past year, (Cleveland) was just devoid of playmakers on the team. I'm not really sure it matters if Einstein or Bill Walsh in his prime was calling plays. We had (Peyton) Hillis and that was about it. I really liked what Brian was trying to do. He's got good thoughts and smart ways of doing things. He just needed some players to do it." --Kosar in 2011, according to the South Florida Sun Sentinel
  10. U of R = smart guy....
  11. January 2017 interview: http://www.buffalobills.com/video/audio/Brian-Daboll-Owe-those-guys-a-lot/f0cfb425-8ea3-4ed6-b546-bcd7e967f6a8
  12. Trust the process...LOL https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2017/12/28/alabama-offensive-coordinator-brian-daboll-follows-process/988059001/
  13. But necessary jobs. And they create economic growth. And give people the first rung to get started on their working lives. Does it take two hospitality jobs to equal the income of one manufactuing job? Probably. But that's how the economy works. Just as it always has...
  14. Woohoo! I love these 'fire up AirPegs jet' threads. The one about the Charles Clay signing a few years ago was epic...
  15. SDS would be out of business if that were a posting requirement...
  16. Fake news. There are 6 million unfilled job openings in the country right now, of which only 2 million are being filled annually. The service economy -- particularly liesure and hospitality, low-end health care and a host of entry-level jobs that few Americans want to do -- are all capable of suporting immigrant labor.
  17. Vince McMahon for commissioner. Great idea! OAO...
  18. Thank you.
  19. He's Son of Bum II. Great coordinator, meh HC... Head coaching record Regular season: 29–51 (.363) Postseason: 0–1 (.000) Career: 29–52 (.358)
  20. Nope. ATL should have passed more in the first half rather than trying to run against the #2 run defense. Only way the Eagles win is in a low scoring, grind it out game like the Falcons handed them...
  21. The Falcon's played that game way too close to the vest. Hate on Belichick all you want, but he would have played to run up the score in the first half against a backup QB and dared the Eagles to keep up. Just dumb....
  22. I foresee two new starters at LB in 2018. Brown walks and Alexander retires...
  23. Lots of holes to fill beyond the QB and WR positions: 1.) At least two LBs 2.) Right OT and OG 3.) Run-stuffing DT / Pass rushing DT (ideally the same player) 4.) Speedy complimentary RB 5.) O-line depth for Wood and Incognito, who could hit the wall at any time 6.) TE to stretch the field
