I have a question: When Winfield blitzed and took the ball away from Brees he clearly possessed it while on top of Brees. He proceeded to get up and ran an extra 10-15 yards before he was tackled. Why was he not down by contact when he was on top of Brees? Was a part of the body not touching the ground?

+2 Great post and its the exact truth. The Cards lost 2 games in a row on the road in embarrassing fashion. They were going to be ready for this game and in a huge way. Our defense had a lone bright spot and that was Mitchell, the guy played great yesterday. He was aggressive and made his presence felt when ever possible. Good sign of things to come. We did play scared in the secondary and Whitner looked strait out confused on a few plays. Another thing is Fitz is worth every penny they pay him. Big, physical, fast, guards the ball with his body from the defender. If anything we learn from it and come out and play different football in week 7. That will be the true test of the team in the SD game.

Dude, watch it again. he led with his helmet the whole way. He is lucky he didn't hurt himself or Boldin any further. I am all for laying a shot on a WR roaming across the middle but you have to worry about your health as well. I hit a guy once in high school and knocked him and myself out, and I had my eyes up. Needless to say I was done for the next game as well. Wasnt concussed but I felt like ass for 3 days. Very scary thing to wake up and see people standing over you asking you a bunch of questions you can't answer.

Hightower has also been great in the backfield this year. Boldin will not play this week. We have to pressure Kurt into throwing when he doesn't want to. He rarely throws to the receiver rather he throws to a spot that he should be. If we can press their WR and disrupt this timing we can win the turnover battle and make some big plays. The match up is going to be Fitz against Greer or McKelvin. I doubt they put the rook on him but it will be a great learning experience.

What really annoys the F- out of me and usually I really dont care what the media says. How is it we go 4-0 do all the right things, make great adjustments, beat teams we are supposed to be beating and still say we aren't real. Why?
