  1. Exactly what I'll be doing. Why? Is the government banning CBS from running it? Good point. I would be more impressed with that money going elsewhere, whether it be Haiti or maybe a Choose Life foundation that provides resources to help unwed teen mothers and/or supports adoption services. Heck, that $3M would have bought a bunch of TV ad space and billboards in Buffalo that might have helped the Bills avoid this Chan Gailey/Marty/Cowher fiasco.
  2. Brandon's got some time on his hands now that he doesn't have to worry about signing players, hiring a GM, firing coaches...
  3. This. I don't get pissed at the player for not playing up to his draft slot when the Bills "braintrust" completely blows the pick by reaching for a player we have no business drafting at in that slot. I don't hold Whitner's #8 selection, Maybin's #11, Lynch's #12, or McGahee's or McCargo's 1st-round status against them. Arguing that Whitner hasn't played up to his no.8 selection, while accurate, is pointless, because he simply should not have been picked that high. I am more pissed at Dicky J and the rest of the braintrust who passed on impact players who could have filled huge positional needs.
  4. I like that Parcells said he didn't know if it was the players not being good enough to avoid getting hurt or if the S&C coaches were not doing a good enough job, but fired the S&C guys anyway and brought in new coaches.
  5. I'd go with a 6 or 7. His mistakes were due to inexperience and being pressed into duty after running the scout team for the majority of his time with the team, and he showed some signs of promise by making some throws, standing in against the rush, and taking a couple shots downfield.
  6. Cincy had already stolen...err, signed their new head coach (once again grabbing Central Michigan's head coach, this time Butch Jones) before Quinn was announced as the Bulls head coach.
  7. +1. I agree with Pooj, it's going to be interesting to see how this story unfolds in the coming days. CNN had reported that detectives from the burglary and homicide divisions were investigating, so maybe there's another angle they're exploring. Not for nothing, but your man card is under heavy suspicion for a) admitting you read Perez Hilton and b) posting something from that site. /hijack
  8. Yeah? You wanna make something of it, tough guy? 1. The secondary. 2. Moorman. 3. Ummmmm.....
  9. Awesome post. Love the one about the dump trucks not covering their loads - and they usually have a big sticker on the back that reads "Stay Back 500 feet, not responsible for windshield damage."
  10. Wife has been chipping away at stuff for the little guy for a couple weeks, and from what I can tell, for me as well. I, on the other hand, just started doing the shopping for the missus this morning.
  11. Never would have thought it either, but I get a better shave with a cheap two-blade disposable. I've tried changing to fresh, brand-new Fusion blades, changing shave gels/creams, changing when I shave, and every time the Fusion leaves my face looking like I shaved blindfolded.
  12. Nothing new, really. A couple years ago I saw the earlier version of the Fusion (Mach 3, maybe?) with NCAA teams on them. Personally I can't stand those Fusion razors - they keep tearing up my face.
  13. That sucks, but I think I am still gonna go for it. $5 for a year's worth of ESPN Insider is still a good deal.
  14. That's probably where I made my mistake. I've been desensitized by watching our decade-long train wreck.
  15. I thought two 1-8 teams, the Browns putrid offense + the Lions putrid defense = a craptastic football game. How could I know that Browns were actually going to play football this week?
  16. Yeah, that really blew up in my face, didn't it? The Browns can't do anything right, can they?
  17. I would like Cowher or Shanny (in that order) but I voted for Marty, because I think that is exactly the type of middle-of-the-road candidate RW will hire - not another up-and-coming hotshot assistant, but not a big name and high-salary guy. Either way I am less concerned about who the new HC is and more concerned with the FO getting overhauled. I can stand another hotshot assistant coach getting a shot if he's got a strong football GM and good talent evaluators around him.
