Regardless of what his performance was in those two games (even though statistically he had games that Trentative, Cash Money JaMarcus, and "Pick ME!" Quinn dream of), he is in an ideal situation in Philadelphia. He is behind an established starter in McNabb and a coaching system known for developing young QBs well. There is no immediate pressure for him to come in and play great, so he can take time to learn the game. When he does come in, he comes in behind an established offense with a very solid offensive line. He is in the ideal situation to succeed. Something Oakland, Cleveland, and Buffalo can't offer any young QB.

Wrong-o! Kevin Kolb of the Eagles will turn out to be the best QB from that draft. In his two games starting for the Eagles, he showed more talent than anyone from that draft class, including Trent Edwards. He's got smarts and a strong arm and will be the #1 QB for the Eagles after a solid grooming by one of the game's best in McNabb.

Harrell is currently the 3rd string QB for the Saskatchewan Roughriders....I don't know what that says about his talent level.

Well said Matty, I remember 49er players saying that the minute Singletary was put in charge every player in that locker room (save for Vernon Davis) knew you do not mess with Samurai Mike. The man's legend on the field was probably bigger than his play but he immediately got the mix of fear and respect. Not to say Fewell won't but I'm guessing this mess of an offense doesn't respond to anything so he's already got an uphill battle.

I think the firing comes on the heels of outright mutiny by the players (specifically the defense). Things were coming to a head and Ralph had no choice but to can him now before the whole thing explodes and into the national media. We already had TO and Reed blowing up on the sidelines, Donte calling out the offense, Schobel questioning the direction...it was reaching a boiling point.

That game made me numb....I remember thinking about how I was going to get to whatever city they were going to be in (I think Baltimore) for the playoff game, making travel plans etc. thinking it was a foregone conclusion that they would beat the bench Steelers....ugh...

I'm not sure, but why would Rodney Harrison, a long time player for Bill, make a statement like that if there wasn't truth in it? He's from that locker room...he's played with some of those guys. If anyone would know how the defense is feeling, it would be him.

His numbers as a BILL speak for themselves...but he's not a Bill now, he lost his job and he's moved on to find work elsewhere. Why are we still mocking a guy who didn't act like a dick while he was here just because he failed? It's because he's the antithesis of their team. He's humble, classy in victory and defeat, exudes a team concept, looks like a real student of the game with a passion for it and he's got a sense of humor about himself to boot. Compare that to Brady (deadbeat dad, more concerned with his image than a Hollywood star, cocky, arrogant, a piss-poor loser, etc.) and you can see why Boston would hate him. Because deep down they wish they had him instead.

Doubt he takes the bet, "bug" and his ilk are your classic Internet tough guys who talk big on a message board but wet their pants and cower like a kitten in the corner when confronted. I love how they get their rocks off hating on a guy who failed as a QB. They're knocking a guy who made millions playing a game they don't have the physique/intelligence/ability to play. I think it eats at them that by high school, JP probably slept with more women than they will in their entire lifetime. For the record, anyone who creates a "Edwards Still Sucks" post after he's no longer a Bill is a f****ng loser too.
