  1. I think there was a delay in replaying Edwards fumble that didn't give Jauron a lot of thime to decide. Props to McGee for a timely interception at the end of the first half and Roscoe for another nice punt return in the 4th quarter.
  2. Trent Edwards all day. Third and 9 throw to Evans was big time stayed in pocket in face of rush. Throw to Hardy was nice too.
  3. I would make someone other than Moss beat us. Brady's accuracy in the middle of the field will be hard to replicate. Force Cassell to throw to the middle.
  4. I feel Lynch could have gone over 100 if they played him more in the fouth quarter. This week will be a tough opponent on the road and the game will tell us a lot. The fact that Jax has many offensive lineman injured should help.
  5. Stroud looked like a Pro Bowler. Simply dominating.
  6. Great post ! Moorman was a huge asset today flipping the field.
  7. Stroud all day. Guy is a stud. Chambers did well, Roscoe, Moorman was great.
  8. The thing I don't get is the Bills are paying Crowell this year regardless so why would the team not want a player on the field for 12 games if he is on the payroll.
  9. I have read many times that Jauron is a player's coach always communicating with the players individually so I don't his being clueness in the case all that troubling. His being clueness in situations like the last two minutes of the Cowboys game last year I do find troubling.
  10. Tully's near Airport isn't bad.
  11. Jenkins is going to be difficult to cut due to his special teams ability. Pretty sure he was one of the gunners on punt coverage last year and he is active on kickoffs as well. CUT 17 Jenkins, Justin WR 207 27 2 Mississippi State 19 Mayle, Scott WR 175 24 1 Ohio 35 Fox, Dustin CB 200 25 4 Ohio State 42 Hall, Bruce RB 205 23 R Mississippi 53 Buggs, Marcus LB 223 22 R Vanderbilt 57 Spragan, Donnie LB 242 32 7 Stanford 58 Banks, Jon LB 232 24 R Iowa State 61 Jones, Derrick DE 282 22 2 Grand Valley State 62 Felton, Robert OL 324 23 R Arkansas 63 Gaddis, Christian OL 300 23 2 Villanova 64 McCray, Teraz DT 286 24 R Miami 69 McCaskill, Nevin OL 300 24 1 Hampton 74 Mace, Corey DE 287 22 1 Wyoming 76 Dickinson, Dustin OL 290 23 R Houston 79 Estes, Patrick OL 310 25 4 Virginia 96 Bryan, Copeland DE 240 25 2 Arizona 98 Jefferson, Jason DT 295 26 3 Wisconsin
  12. Have to agree she is dynamite.
  13. I'd be shocked if he doesn't start. The guy is a player small or not.
  14. Kobe was huge. He buried those threes despite being well covered. He is one of the few who consistantly scores whether well covered or not. Was active on D too. Was happy to see the emotion as well.
  15. 1) I was more impressed with Chambers than any other Bills player last night. I thought he played well too. Also looked good against Pittsburgh. 2) Poz is a monster and he is going to hurt somebody. I am not seeing this just yet. Seems to bite on a lot of fakes. Needs some more experience. 3) JP played very well last night, but the sky ball to the fullback tells us that old habits die hard. He struggles on the short passes/dumpoffs. He may get someone killed with those throws. Otherwise he played great. 9) OK, I admit it; Duke Preston didn't suck last night. I am quite impressed with him this preseason and I have never been a fan. Other thoughts: Wendling and Barnes give us some hope on special teams. Barnes may not last long with some of those colissions but they are fun to watch. Wendling is a great special teams guy already. Youboty seems like a much more confident player this year. If not for Bills, he will play somewhere this year, Fred Jackson is going to make some big plays this year. He runs to daylight better than any back on the roster. McKelvin is nowhere near ready to contribute on defense. Hopefully he can contribute by October/November. Special teams for now.
  16. It's a team game and he was injured so the stats are hard to peg to one guy. I am very happy with what I have seen thus far. I had forgotten what it was like to have one of our DT's draw a double team. Remember Larry Tripplett getting driven five yards back into the endzone then onto his butt as Ahmad Bradshaw walked into the endzone last year vs. the G-Men. I am elated to have Stroud on the Bills.
  17. "I'm not a big believer in beating people with calls. I think you beat them with people. And then execution. Once you have enough skill accumulated, let them play. Fundamentally, I agree with this but the reality is the modern NFL uses very sophisticated offensive systems and defensive systems which requires you to beat people with calls. Against Cleveland last year, when we needed a touchdown at the end of the game, I saw three passes in the redzone that were thrown no where near the the endzone. Personnel is a huge component, obviously execution is important but so are the calls. That is why people like Shanahan are paid so much.
  18. I thought that was one of Youboty's better performances as a Bill. Greer looked good too. Was interesting to see Reggie Corner on the field so early.
  19. All in all a sloppy performance which can be expected from a first preseason game. Tackling was really bad in first half with many of the culprits being people who will see a lot of playing time. Kelsay- Painful to watch Portis carry him 4 yards when he had the play read. Fourth and 1 td was right at him as well. Not sure if Denny played but I hope he is ready to go. Fred Jackson has great hands and makes it look easy as a receiver. Had to like James Hardy in the red zone. Nice grab and nice throw by JP. Poz was active, Ellison looked bigger and made a few nice plays as well. Chris Ellis rushed the passer well in first quarter in a third and long set. Looked a lot like Anthony Hargrove with his speed. Sorta disappeared after that but a nice flash of ability. Derek Fine has some good hands as advertised. Fowler is still a liability in the run game. Preston got a nice push on JP's QB sneak for a first down (never thought I would see that).
  20. I thought he played well. Great on special teams perticularly kickoff coverage. Forces the run well. He stood out to me tonight. One of the few db's who could make a tackle.
  21. I think Peters has some leverage. He will get paid if not now sometime in 2008. The Bills need him. I am sure Brandon and Jauron want to get past the 6-10;7-9 seasons and go to the next level. They don't want to groom a young QB who is running for his life. Hopefully, this is a Walter Jones type deal where he eventually comes in before they go live.
  22. Drew had some good years but not likely that he goes to Canton. There is a long enough waiting list for the HOF that they easily can pass on whoever retired in the correct year.
  23. Cut up a Garbage Plate best served in a high chair.
  24. Andre was top 2 or 3 in his era. Moulds was good not top 5; dropped too many catchable balls. Evans has not seen middle of the field too much but may emerge, he is certainly the most explosive of the 3.
  25. I am no Pats fan but this seems ridiculous. Bruschi is obviously a leader on that team on the field and is shown interacting on the sidelines with teammates to the point of nausea for the viewers.
