Those kids deserved worse. The driver showed considerable restraint. He should have made the little bastards so scared they would have been glued to their seats. Little f*ckers should get the living crap beat out of them if they are that disrespectful and that obnoxious to an elder. The bus driver is now my hero. Those bratty kids should be bruised and beaten.

How Do YOU define "injury prone"
todd replied to Fake-Fat Sunny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I looked it up in the dictionary. Rob Johnson's picture was there. -
Scientology is a farcical cult. It's a friggin joke. Hubbard was a nutcase. Anyone who follows scientology is or will become brainwashed. Cruise is there, man. He's a nutjob.

That's nice! I love strawberry rhubarb pie. Of course, I'm not allowed to eat it. It is high in oxylates, and oxylates cause kidney stones in those prone to them. I, unfortunatly, am prone to them. So eat the hell out of that pie!

Actually, I think a new contract for nate would reduce that number. I'm all for a new contract for Nate, however I doubt he'll do it. FAs in the last year of their contract have $$ signs in their eyes.

Relax, Bill. My opinions are valid, and personal insults directed at me won't change that. I've never seen any evidence that supports otherwise. Of course, my experience with unions is only that of skilled and unskilled trades, and not others like police and teachers. Frankly, it will take an epiphany to change my opinion. If you've got one handy, toss it my way. Otherwise, get back to the REAL Bill I know who is willing to disagree, but still enjoy a beer and a smoke (ouside of course) with fellow Bills fans.
-
Imagine that. A union guy protecting the institution that allows him to be a lazy $h*t. The place of the union in our society has long outlived it's usefulness. I'd quit my job before I was ever forced to join a stinkin' union. There's union idiots protesting here in Rochester because companies have decided to use cheaper American labor from Syracuse and Buffalo. These are people who work in skilled trades like masonry. They'd rather have a cookout in front of Kohl's than work. Lazy bastards. And at the same time I can't find a decent mason to fix my front porch. Lazy bastards would rather picket than earn a fair wage. Unions suck ass. I've got so many dumbass union stories just from working 6 years at Kodak I could write a book.

Yeah. 1. Par 5 - not a difficult hole. Concentrate on getting a solid lie off your drive and it makes the hole easier. 2. Short par 4 - 2-tier green. If the pin is on the upper tier, you're better to be long than short. 3. Par 3 - Pretty tricky. Don't go left, as the hills will send your ball way, way left. 4. Difficult par 4. Long, and OB on right. Tough approach with sand on right. On in 3 is better than a long drive OB. 5. Good driving hole. Start way up. If you've got any length at all you can leave yourself less than 100 yards to this hole. Left is better than right. 6. Par 3 over water. Not difficult. 7. Tough uphill par 4. Second shot is often blind. If you don't have much distance on your drive, you've got a 200 yard shot uphill for your second. You can triple bogey this hole very easily. 8. Fun hole. If you are long you can drive this par 4. Protected by sand in front. 9. Nice par 5. Tougher than it looks. DON'T GO RIGHT! 10. Easy par 4. Anything less than par would be disappointing. Ball placement setting up a good second shot is more important than length. 11. B word of a par 4. 5 wood off the tee. 2nd shot uphill over water must be accurate or you are in some deep stuff or in water. 12. Nice par 5. Uphill. Blind 2nd shot. Narrow fairway. Must be straight on drive or you are dead. 13. Uphill par 3. Highest point on the course. If there is any wind you can end up with a triple bogey. OB on left. 14. Par 4. Drive it straight or you will be screwed. OB on left, deep stuff on right. 15. Par 4 - more difficult than it looks. If you fly the green on your 2nd shot you go OB. If you hit it short, you are in sand. Choose the sand. 16. Great par 5. Trouble left. Layup on your 2nd shot or you could be screwed. Small landing area. Tricky green that slopes backward. 17. Easy par 3. 150 yds. 18. One of the best holes in western NY. Tough. Only golf pussies don't appreciate it. You should take an iron or 7 wood off the tee, as a 250 yd drive goes in the water. 2nd shot is over a huge pond. If you don't have a good lie it's easy to go in the water. Green is guarded by water in front, which poses a psychological barrier.

Exactly. It might even take something like that to get our president to understand the importance of reducing our dependence on oil. Not that I want it to happen, just stating it might take something like that to get the obvious through his thick Texas skull.
-
As much as I hate our dependence on middle-east oil, I'm not worried about something catostrophic happening. They are as dependent on our money as we are on their oil. It's the beauty of capitalism. Anyway, I'm only concerned with oil's effect on our foriegn policy.
-
I did some consulting for a large group that had direct relations to american oil companies. I won't say more than that, because I can't. I will say that the price of gasoline (I won't say barrels of oil, because they aren't directly related) is influenced by many factors, and is a very complex equation to predict. Those that do it well can make tons of $$. I'm not rich, BTW. :-) Anyway, I will say that American oil companies were very happy that an oil man was elected, then re-elected, and they have profited greatly because of it, and will continue to do so for years. I will also say that it is one of the most crooked and at the same time influential businesses I've ever seen at many levels. And if you think that their lobby just works with Republicans, think again. Republicans and Democrats are equally swayed by the dollar sign, and American Oil is great at putting their lobby dollars in the right place. Better than even the AARP, and much quieter about it.

Why would they make him inactive? It doesn't make sense. I think the more likely scenario is Henry holding out. Which is stupid on Henry's point. You've yet to give any logical arguments as to why they would make him inactive. And even if they were going to make him inactive, how is that screwing a player? It's protecting him from injury. Additionally, he's availalbe to show his stuff in the case of injury, which can only help him.
-
I think given Pat's experience with JP, his statement is probably accurate. The guy was a rookie last year. There's no way he was ready, especially since his injury. Last year his role was to be a backup to Drew, and if he tried to exert too much "leadership" the team would have -- and damn well should have -- laughed at him. My opinion of JP so far is favorable based on the amount of work he is putting in. I'm not expecting him to kick ass.
-
Yeah, I think they would dress him. Why not? Because he's a whiny ass? Henry's holdout will damage his value, which only hurts him. If henry holds out, the Bills don't have to pay him which is essentially the same as releasing him cap-wise. As long as henry is on the roster, he has trade value for the Bills. I don't think you can justify your statement that he has no value. Secondly, why shouldn't the Bills wait to see what they can get for him? They know they can get a 4th or 5th for sure, and he's certainly worth at least a 3rd. Why would they sacrifice the possiblity of getting a 3rd rounder for him by releasing him? There's no good, logical reason to do so. The only reason I can think to do so is so fans like us don't have to hear henry or his agent whine, and that's not a good reason. As a fan of the Bills, I'd think you'd want the Bills to improve themselves, and one way to do that is through draft picks. Why release Henry for nothing? It makes absolutely no sense. Unless of course you want Donahoe & the Bills to fail.
-
That's insane. The Bills are doing Henry a favor by trading him. The Bills are well within their rights to get reasonable value for him, or force him to play this year. The Bills have been more than fair to Henry. To say they are screwing him is agentspeak, and smacks of anti-TD bias.
-
TH signed a contract. It's binding. How are they screwing him over? They are doing him a favor by seeking a trade for him, when they could have him play out his contract as a backup. He'd be a great backup. That's a load of crap about the Bills screwing TH.

It's OK. The layout is above average, but the greens are slow. It's short. It's an OK test of golf. As a 12 you won't be challenged much. You can take irons off the tee and not have any problems. You could do worse, though. It's better than other courses in the area. If you want a better test of golf, try Greystone or Shadow Pines. Ravenwood is also OK, but I don't like the greens. Boring greens.

If you really like Pete Townshend and The Who, pick up Scooped. It's a double album of demos, outtakes, etc. Some brilliant stuff there. I think Townshend is one of the best songwriters of this century. -

Exactly. I'm not a big fan of PJHarvey, but you have to look at impact, talent, quality of songrwriting, etc. -

Get a clue. Just because an album isn't filled with teen angst doesn't mean it isn't good. Someday you'll grow up, though. -

Maybe you ought to listen to them before you blather on. They ARE great albums. -
If it was my job to find movies that would go on to have a billion-dollar ROI and be wildly successful? Yes, I would expect them to know. It's their job.
