Agreed. That was really a great ad. I love seeing the best in the world acting silly like a kid. Perspective, man.

The misinformation and PC garbage in this thread infuriates me. 1. Women can play Augusta. Annika, Nancy Lopez and countless others have played there as a guest of a member or at the invitation of the club. 2. There are black and catholic members of the club. 3. The only issue (which is contrived by Martha Burke and her liberal PC idiot friends) is whether or not there can be women members of the club. 4. Private clubs have the right to accept or reject members at their discression. This is America. There is no issue with Wie playing at the club. It's based on ability. Apparently, she doesn't have it yet.

The situations are completely different. I think you are prone to using brown-colored glasses regarding everything Bills. Comparing WM to RJ is not valid. WM, even at 85% and in his first NFL action, looked like a superstar. Rob Johnson NEVER looked like a superstar. Neither did Fwootie, for that matter. In keeping RJ, we took a flyer on a guy that was young and could be worked with - supposedly. If we kept Fwootie, we would have had a guy whou could have handled the starting position for one year - two at most. By keeping WM, we get a guy who has superstar skill and has shown consistently he's a back who is at least equivalent to TH, but with far more upside. Furthermore, he doesn't seem to have the issues TH has. Also, Travis being under contract allows us to get SOMETHING for him. If we wait until next year, we get NOTHING. That's the biggest way the situations are different. I really think you might have extended this analogy a bit too much. The only comparison to the two situations you can make that would be valid are that they are all football players. That's it.

So what is your point? Is there something relevant about this comment? Please expand how the situations are similar.

Chicks with drills? Sounds like something rated-x from the Jerry Springer show about hermaphrodites.

Don't you just wish the Bills had some Cap Room?
todd replied to richNjoisy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Do we want to pay him more than $2 mil for one year? The packers will, and that's why they've given him a tender offer. I'm not saying I wouldn't want him on our team, but I think the chances of the packers matching a reasonable offer is quite high, and us making anything more than a reasonable offer is low. -

Because he's a good TE, but not a great one and paying that kind of coin for him isn't worth it. The packers would probably match any reasonable deal, anyway. The Bills would have to offer him $$ the packers wouldn't want to match, and that's too much. I think if we really wanted him we could create the room to sign him. -
Get a different girlfriend. If she is so insecure that she doesn't want you watching naked women, there are problems. Who the hell cares if you look at other nekkid women? It's not like you are knowing them carnally, if you know what I mean! Sheesh.

I just got a new camera in time for training camp!
todd replied to Mike32282's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's a good camera. I recently bought the Canon G6, which is wonderful. -
Yeah, true, but only in the same room as me. Not on TV. And Nicole is fugly as hell.

I liked visiting the Fort. Of course, I'm a total nerd for that kind of thing and you may not be. It's really a beautiful town with lots of shops and stuff to do. If you're looking for a romantic relaxing day, you'll have plenty to do. Have fun!

We got the smaller cherry tom plant and it had some green ones on it when we planted it. Our beefsteak plant is probably at least a week away. At least. Watering - we have ours on our south-facing deck, which gets lots and lots of sun, and also gets reflected light from a light colored stucco wall. We have a self-watering planter with a 4-gallon reservoir (tomato planter) and we refill that almost every day. The other planter needs watering 2x a day - probably because it's too small.
-
We don't have a garden per-se, but our container-grow toms are 5 ft. tall and we planted them late. We have beefsteak and some cherry. The cherry are just starting to get ripe, and they are sweet and wonderful. How often does everyone have to water them? I water 2x per day or else they wilt.

That is a horrible site. I hope they got some college kid to do it for free.

I can't eat them. Most of them have MSG (monosodium glutimate) in them. MSG gives me migraine headaches, so I stay away from it completely.

A big SB is similar to a guarantee for a player. Essentially, a team is saying that they trust that they are a great player, and have faith that you will do well because we get penalizes against the cap if we cut you. So contracts are not guaranteed, but a big signing bonus makes it hard for a team to cut a player.

I'd tell them to move somewhere more reasonable. This is America. They are adults. People have choices. Places with high taxes and a good educational system usually also have high property values. They'd probably be able to earn a pretty penny by selling a house in an affluent area. Don't like where you live or can't afford it? Move. It's really quite simple. It pisses me off that people think the elderly are defenseless and can't make decisions for themselves regarding food, medication, etc. They can. If they can't, they shouldn't be living alone anyway! Before you continue to grind your ax, I'd like to know how many elderly people are actually in this position.

I don't think Willis has a cheap rookie contract. I think, unless I'm mistaken, his contract has lots of incentives and if he reaches them he's going to be a very, very rich guy.

I was wondering what you were getting at with your thread of questions. As far as I'm concerned, a good education and providing opportunities for our youth is probably the most important thing we can do for the future of this country. I'm not saying we should spend willy-nilly, but having excellent extracurricular programs (not just sports) is a way to have our kids get involved in something that could keep them out of trouble. I don't care if it's sports, music, science geek club, etc., providing these opportunities is essential. I'm willing to pay for that. Sorry you feel that way about your school system. Fortunately, I haven't had that experience. The test scores and % of kids going on to college or vocational school in this district is phenominal. Kids being in an envoronment that encourages that type of mentality is awesome. And Brighton isn't a particularly affluent area. Many of the houses are 1500 sq. ft. or so. It's just that the people who choose to live here value the importance of an excellent school system and are willing to pay for it.
-
Nope. They had a re-vote and a different budget was passed. What some people don't understand is the benefits -- beyond the obvious benefit of well-educated children -- a good school district brings to a town.
-
Greece, NY. A few years ago all the old people who live there voted to cancel funding for the school's football program because they thought it was too expensive.
-
Move. BTW - my wife & I don't have kids and don't plan on having any.

We live in Brighton and I love it. Most of the houses were built in the 1930s and the streets are very homey and charming. Good school district, as well. Brighton is close to everything, too. Taxes are high, but I'll pay high taxes for good schools.
