  1. Right. The important thing to note here is that there are unique properties of HUMAN EMBRYONIC STEM CELLS that allow for different applications in HUMANS. But HUMAN EMBRYONIC STEM CELLS are what President Bush opposes funding. That's what I find completely idiotic.
  2. I'm glad he did it. From what I've read about Bolton, he's a major a-hole. But so are the democrats who blocked the vote. If there was a vote, he would have been appointed. I can understand a fillibuster if it was close and the dems thought they could convince a few more to vote against Bolton so he wouldn't be approved, but that wasn't going to happen. In this case, it was the dems being idiot morons. Good for the President on this one.
  3. Take the rope, cut it in half, and hang yourselves. That's the easy part. The difficult part is figuring out what you want your last song to be.
  4. Since existing lines will be exhausted, and this ban represents a stoppage of all new lines of embryonic research, I'll stand by what I say. It's essentially a ban on stem cell research. It's not based on science, it's based on a misguided opinion of our president. That's it.
  5. This is changing. The U of R just lost a lawsuit about a patent. Apparently a company decided the patent was theirs. Not sure of the details, but the precident is changing.
  6. Whatever the reason, it's time level-minded people started calling the President's ban on funding stem cell reasearch what it really is. This is a common sense issue that Bush is clearly wrong on. Good for Frist!
  7. I dated this girl once who would ..... ahh nevermind.
  8. Very true! I bet he's cloudy because he's shaking so much. He's trembling so much the camera can't focus. He's got that "deer in headlights" fear. I can tell.
  9. Stop drinking. It's really quite simple. If alcohol is too important to you to quit, you have deeper problems than sleepwalking.
  10. There's a name I recognize! He must be a great fit for the bills! Let's get him!
  11. Now there's a name I recognize! He must be good! TD - get her done!
  12. #89 stands up at Hootie concerts!
  13. Go out in the country, pick a hicktown rib place, and taste some of the best ribs you've ever had.
  14. Question: Did the people who stood up in the front few rows get kicked out?
  15. That's retarded.
  16. Theismann: Silence is more compelling.
  17. Seats are for sitting between shows. And the opening act if they were boring.
  18. Interesting. The guy cites no source in the article. Easy enough to do, I guess. I see no evidence of TD being an egomaniac. The guy was signed last year to a contract extention, and he doesn't mention a thing. He doesn't want any info about himself in the media guides. That's hardly the work of an egomaniac. And you are actually trying to make me think that hiring a subservient coach is higher up on TD's list than hiring the right coach, even if it means costing the Bills the playoffs? Umm. No, I don't think so.
  19. Well documented? Really? I'd like to see that. This is the first I've heard of this. To support this statement you should: 1. Provide proof that TD is an egomaniac. 2. Provide proof that TD forced Mularkey to hire Clements. Franky, I think you are full of it, but if you come up with proof I'll admit you are right. Well-documented my ass!
  20. I got kicked out of a hootie and the blowfish concert once. I wasn't drunk, and I wasn't stoned. I had 4th row tickets. When the band came out all the people I went with (about 8 of us) all stood up. All the yuppies behind us were pissed because they couldn't see without standing up, and as we all know it's difficult to drink riesling, eat brie, and stand up at the same time. So they called the security guards and had us kicked out for standing up at a (supposed) rock & roll concert. Kicked out of a concert for standing up. Amazing.
  21. My parents retired to western North Carolina 10 years ago. The Asheville / Hendersonville area. They love it. Low taxes, none of the BS you get with Charlotte, it's in the mountians so it's cooler than the rest of the south, you get a change of seasons including some snow, and it's absolutely wonderful. Low taxes, too.
  22. "Ok to prosecute for eating french fries on city trains. " What? DAMN HIM!
  23. Find a guy without an ego. An overdeveloped ego is a mask for insecurity and a lack of confidence. If a guy isn't man enough to admit when he doesn't know how to do something, there are problems.
  24. Have you heard the new Rolling Stones song? It's HORRIBLE. It's worse than bad. I can't find the words to explain how bad it is.
  25. Ditto. The idea behind fixing stuff yourself is realizing if you don't know how to do it, you can probably figure it out. And making stuff worse is the first stup in making it better.
