Well, you'd figure that the Dept. of Homeland Security and under that FEMA would! That's their job. With the threat of terrorists having a nuke, you'd think they would have some plans for a disaster of this magnitude. At least that's what I thought an organization that specialized in disaster preparedness should do. I figured they'd live with this possibility every day. Call me crazy, I guess. We have lost cities before (San Fran, Chicago Fire, etc.) Not recently, but there are plenty of other examples to study such as the Tsunami, Hiroshima & Nagasaki, Chernobl, etc.

I think the federal government underestimated the resources it would take to deal with a situation like this. This situation is bad, and I agree with our president that the response is not acceptable. Hopefully we'll learn from this, and be ready next time.

This is a huge national disaster, and I think as Americans we are obligated to use whatever skills / resources we have to help our fellow citizens. These people are in trouble. Wouldn't you want her help if you were in NO?

Well, you are a complete Patsy homer, and totally underestimate the value of your OC and DC played to the team. However, I think the Pats are still the best team in the AFC E. My main problem with this particular article is underestimating the problems the Jets & pennington will have adapting to a new offensive system. Not a peep is metnioned about that. I think the Jests will suck this year.

I thought losman had a good first quarter. There were also a few nice plays that were called back due to BS penalties (WR stepping OB? BS!) and haddad being out of bounds. He didn't play too bad in the 2nd, either. That pass to Moulds was nice. Urlacher is a friggin beast, tho.

I go there on business fairly often. I like it, although it isn't my kinda place to live. Too many friggin Baptists. :-) Downtown is doing well, and there is good college football there. Winters aren't too bad. For a smaller city, it's pretty nice.
