The the instrumentals are simple, cheesy pop...but Mercury uses his voice to perfection through the verse to slowly build musical tension that he gently starts to relax with one word "Radio," then resolves with the verse. It is one of his virtuoso performances, and those vocals superimposed on those instrumentals, to create a piece of radio crap that was originally and ironically named "Radio Ka-Ka" is just artwork.
