Was she the dingbat that scratched it in to her face backwards because she did it looking in a mirror?

No, this is where he doesn't come back until Saturday night after a quart of rotgut whiskey.

HAs nothing to do with the current case, and was already adjudicated. Over, done with, don't care.

It's just an initial bargaining position, to encourage the Post to settle. Eventually, the Post settles for an undisclosed sum, and everyone signs an NDA. Unless the attorneys are hoping to turn it into a class-action lawsuit. Which would be stupid, but I can't discount the possibility, given that the attorneys seem fairly stupid (that's the most amateurish filing I've seen since Cliven Bundy rambled about "critters.")

"Oh, sorry Bernie...you didn't get enough superdelegates to actually strike the planet. Congratulations, Kamalasaurus Wrecks." And who the ***** is "Schultz 2020?" Jesus...whoever you are, just drop out now. -
No, that's just gibberish.

Democratic 2020 Presidential Primary Thread

This is going to be the best primary ever. -
This is too blunt to be decent progressive channeling. You need to focus it more on the feelings, and less on facts. Like: "Regardless of who's responsible, Smollett's attack demonstrates the fear black gays live with under the Trump administration, and holding Smollett culpable for being attacked is nothing more than lynching him again." The rules of progressive nonsense are pretty simple: keep your phrasing factually vague and ambiguous, but emotionally focused and concrete. But there's a real art to doing it well enough that you sound like you're making a coherent point when you're really just spewing bull####. I'm not sure the theory behind this has a name yet...but as the first person to describe it, I claim the right to name it "Critical Gibberish Theory."

Trump Administration Outreach to the World
DC Tom replied to B-Man's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Just for ***** and giggles, I'm going to try to summarize that hash: Trump is anti-gay for falsely promoting a pro-gay agenda in place of a foreign policy agenda that's anti-Islam and paternalistically colonial in the sense of "the white man saving the brown woman from the brown man," just like he did with the Pulse nightclub shootings, in an effort to demonize Iran who's anti-gay record has softened recently and shouldn't be demonized for merely hanging gays when Trump is such a slavering maniac that he refuses to even ask "Are you gay?" in the 2020 census... Sorry, I lost track there. Really, I lost track after "the white man saving the brown woman from the brown man" through a policy that explicitly targets men who by definition aren't attracted to women to begin with. What the ***** did I just read? That was so incoherently stupid, it was like running a gatorman post through an EII translator. -
And Malayans, and Indonesians, and especially Koreans. Certainly, the Japanese challenge the Nazis on mere numbers. But that shouldn't be the distinguishing factor. Japanese brutality was born of cultural attitudes of racialism and emotional repression merged with elements of Victorian imperialism, and compounded by a warrior ethos often misunderstood by Western observers (beheading a captured enemy is quoted commonly as a war crime, for example, but to the Japanese was considered mercy towards a respected enemy in defeat). That led to Japanese atrocities being, not organized, but more "grass roots," taking place in a multitude of isolated instances or, when on a large scale, developing organically (such as the Bataan Death March or the Rape of Nanking) and not as a matter of policy. Contrast that with the foundation of the Nazi brutality, which was founded in a unique belief of imperial Darwinism - imperial nations otherwise recognized the need for subject peoples to form the basis of colonial economies, Germany is the only nation among imperial powers to explicitly pursue policies of extermination against colonial natives (most of the practices they pursued in World War 2 - slave labor, human medical experiments, the "hunger plan," concentration camps - were present in their extermination of the Herero in Southwest Africa forty years earlier. They even referred to both as racial struggles, literally the same term: rassenkampfen. There's a direct like from Shark Island to Treblinka, or the Schutztruppen and Peiper's Blowtorch Battalion.) The Japanese were brutal...but individually. Their atrocities were rarely organized above a battalion level, if that, and not as a matter of policy. The Germans organized atrocity at the level of an entire nation, as a planned and directed activity.

The "National Emergency" Thread
DC Tom replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Fixed it for you, you raving ****head. Trump's emergency declaration is legal under current law. Current law justifying it is unconstitutional. The best thing that could come out of this is striking down the NEA. What will likely come out of it is validating it, because dumbasses like you can't differentiate law from executive action. Know the difference, you ***** turnip. -
I claim a religious exemption. Suck it, Arizona.

Because nobody watches Fox News. More seriously: because nobody holds up Fox News as the bastion of Truth, Justice, and the American Way like the NYT, Washington Post, and CNN do. Fox was always conservative first, news second - Murdoch has said so, multiple times. CNN pretends to be impartial, when they're clearly not. Fox is biased...CNN is biased and hypocritical.

Nazis. Japanese were casually brutal. But only German efficiency and bureaucracy could depersonalize and industrialize it.

Identity. Being oppressed and victimized is such a deeply-held part of their self-image, they will create oppression and victimization to validate their own self-image. Not being sarcastic or glib. How people identify themselves is so psychologically powerful that people will do anything to avoid violating it, including killing themselves or murdering others.
