  1. seems like a no brainer to me -- pro football or go to war? it takes a special kind of player hater to dislike a kid who swapped a low paying and often thankless job for a shot at big time, especially when it is for your favorite team!
  2. QUICK, TRADE TRAVIS HENRY FOR HIM!!! BILL SAID WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE IF WE DON'T SIGN HIM!!
  3. you posted an insane sitting by yourself in a train car talking type thread titled something about how our pass d isn't improving enough. yes, you tried to imply that a passrusher rook would have helped more, but that's wrong and insane. you also posted about how no rook could play MLB but that's lulzy since like 7 of the past 9 ROY on D are LBs, many in the middle.
  4. if he busts we are stuck where we are right now on O. i think he'll be perfect for us. he'll catch little throws (for 5-12 yards instead of the 1-4 we got from gains all the time) and be a threat over the top of LBs. once in the red zone he'll be great for us. frankly that was our big problem. evans and lynch are monsters in the middle of the pitch, but in the redzone you front evans and put 8 in the box to stop marshawn. with a big wr you have a guy trent can always see and throw a nice no INT possible ball to.
  5. our d is gonna pwn. we have an outside at the division!
  6. hey PG, can you post something long and utterly insane about how the best CB in the nation won't be able to help our pass D? thanks, i'll hang up and listen.
  7. the pats are sub human homos and their fans are some of the biggest wang gobbling front running baseball fairweather scumbag fake irish fat heads ever. i really really think we can beat the faketriots this year. if we go to spew england and mash them up with our new super charged D i will grab my buddy (who having lived in boston for some formative years is a pats fan) put him in a kick boxing clinch and knee his face until the teeth come out of the back of my legs. this is not done to hurt, but to help him. only by showing him the contrast of the "pain" of watching his garbage team not win against the real PAIN of 20 or 30 minutes of constant hard knees to the dome will he be able to break free from the gay cheater demons that have soiled his soul and be ready to stop himself on his path to damnation. if the knees aren't enough i'll have to improvise.
  8. if trent comes on and shows he can be the man, then we kick ass this year. that's really what it comes down too -- we need more weapons on O, and i could go for an upgrade at FS, maybe some more interior blocking, but really we have tons of guys in place now. we need the young kid to come on strong.
  9. he's an absolute shut down corner. that said, the way to make an IMMEDAIT impact is in the return game. if he cracks 2 or 3 open for TDs he will get his credit. we now have 3 guys who can bring the ball back all the way. i think (hope) we will be recieving fewer kicks and way more punts, so to keep roscoe fresh mclovin will need to take a couple.
  10. played in a pretty aggressive O there. he is a real athlete too. i think he has a shot.
  11. if he can line up as an endzone TE along with hardy and fine we have some new trees to go up and get the ball!
  12. he had a kid he didn't meet till the kid was 18!! OH NOES!!!! worse tha hitler!!
  13. that really just says it all. we added guys to get after the passer (mitchel, ellis, johnson, stroud) and guys who can cover. yet all i read is posters saying we need more oline. we need to stop the faketriots passing attack, not get back ups just in case our best linemen go down. 3rd and 9, we need to win that mach up against the pats more than lose it. that's what we went out and got people for.
  14. i agree about the all irish return team (lol) that will result in some serious long returns and tds. don't worry about who is 1 and who is 2, we will have guys in 3rd and long a lot (did ok at getting them there before) and need 3 and 4 guys to cover, especially against the cheatriots.
  15. i heard that 90 of mayocks top 100 went in the first 100 picks. if that's a true number he is clearly the best talking head on tv covering the draft.
  16. but the giants play makers made a huge diff in the last super bowl, including secondary and their big WR. and the colts won with strong secondary play and skill players. and a couple of key turnovers, including a massive end zone interception won it for the steelers. and ty law and rodney harrison made the biggest single contributions to 2 of the pats wins. you are just being way too myopic. you bill and akc started out (a couple years ago) with a very strong point, but we've put a ton of guys onto our lines (resigned our DEs, drafted ellis, mccargo, williams, signed stroud, johnson, dock, extended peters, signed walker, signed fowler, drafted butler). we also have some LBs, and now completed the trifecta with corners who can cover the 4 and 5 wide sets that have been destroying us.
  17. NO DRAFT SCHMITT, I'VE HEARD OF HIM!!!! always nice to have a half human half bull hybrid mashing guys up late in the game.
  18. this is honestly a bad take. the giants had a not great pass rush in 06. osi and strahan combined for the exact same number of sacks as kelsay and aaron did for the bills this season. in 06 we were top 8 or so in sacks. now we lost and now replaced secondary, an have actually upgraded our d line, adding a rook DE got mccargo healthy, stroud and johnson. we also have more linebackers who can play. you can say the giants line won it, or you can say getting more aggressive with blitzes and the like helped and was possible because of the secondary getting healthy and more talented. either way, they were crap before upgrading their secondary and so were we. now we have horses, and i think some studs, at every level of D.
  19. is he the same mike smith who does ncaa and draft coverage? if so i like him and he seems to follow the whole thing, not just a few teams.
  20. tim anderson, ron edwards, ed bannon, everett, mike williams, and several others were need position picks (positions that most people here say we still need players for) that everyone felt good about. they all sucked or didn't pan out and because of that we have had our problems over the years. it's not about the position as much as it is about the player. AND OUR PICKS WERE ALL FOR NEEDS TODAY ANYWAY!!
  21. i look at our draft and i think our team is being built to beat the pats, and i like it. we got guys up front to get after brady and stop the run. we have big aggressive physical RBs, and now we have a complete and deep secondary to cover all the packages the pats put out there. they went five wide friggen so much, do you know who we had out there? greer and kiwanuka? on gafney and swallworth and welker? now we have some guys who can glue to them, so we have the ability to match up, blitz, and dictate rather than play on our heels
  22. guy is a combine monster. we went with the productive guy who is the best athlete. that's the kind of size strength speed pick that teams like to make late.
  23. we are obv going balls out on D. we got our LBs and DL, now we are going secondary crazy.
  24. we added 1 lb in FA, 1 due to health, 2 DTs and a DE. 2 corners for the secondary that gave up 5 TDs to one guy still in our division is too much?
