  1. Actually in sullys case, please Shoot the Freakin Messenger.
  2. oh, I just read my thing here and I thought that I would not take US Servicemen so lightly. For clarification, the US Serviceman is the greatest solider in the history of the world, in training, accomplishments, bravery, and simple fighting power. To waste just ONE of these is tantamount to foolishness above all others. To have sacrificed 2000 is approaching Light Brigade status. These are the men that took a country and lost like what 25? And we set them up as targets for crazed loonies? These are the warriors that are simply beyond description. For you Republican morons, it's like taking your team and making the quarterback be your gunner on the punt return. It's stupid and it's wrecking the team. I'll stop now.
  3. Jes wonderin. Do you think Kerry would have made things worse? And just give me a fer instance. Like maybe more dead American men, or - he would've responded slower to our hurricanes, or he would have appointed a monkey to FEMA or he would have had more henchmen in jail by now. Just predict how Kerry would have created an America that somehow would be worse off than todays. Go ahead use the stock market, the supermarket or One Bills Drive. Just give me ONE plausible situation that you think would be worse than what we got goin on right now. Cause I think that not only is Bush man an idiot, but I always held out hope for his appointees. And those guys are now ALL either under indictment or (as in dee dee miers) being eaten by fellow Reps. In short I think it's a fine mess we've gotten ourselves into. But go ahead, preach brother...
  4. I'm suprised at you guys. WM is pumped and ready to rumble. You all would be crying about how the Bills are looking past the Raiders. About how Willis takes a quarter to warm up. Well he says he is ready to rock. And then the Raiders laugh? Just from a pragmatic standpoint - these are good signs. From an entertainment standpoint, Willis has put smiles on Everybody's face with his 1. performance 2. dance 3. confidence. Enjoy it while it lasts! Go Bills PS - for all you "humility speaks volumes" folks - Have you ever been in a bar when the Touchdown is made??? I've seen gestures that would make two dogs in a rut blush.
  5. His voice is real pro, and he has a sharp play calling cadence. I think he'll only get better as he gets more work.
  6. Beat Gandy like a drum on that play. Is Taylor really that good? Looks like Gandy kind of whiffed at the air. It looked mighty bad. But is Taylor the "best player in the NFL?"
  7. Don't know if this has been reflected on this board, but the call to replace Losman came over a week past the Miami bye. What that means is that all of the extra time Miami had on the bye to gameplan Losman gets tossed out the window. Then they have to scramble to figure out what Holcomb is all about. That doesn't leave much time to maneuver. So in retrospect, that might have been the decision that won us this game. After adjustments, the Dolphins played a somewhat superior game. But they weren't able to overcome the headstart our suprise tactics played on them. I was not one of the crazy haters last week after the news. I figure that under the theory that coaches coach, and players play, that our coaching staff can't guarentee the quality of play, but they sure as heck should have an idea as to who is a better player, KH or JPL. I mean we have all kinds of theories but really doesn;t it come down to a practical level, who's a better player? NFL Europe is for training, college is for training, training camp is for training. NFL Gameday is for real. Should Kelly start next week is a more interesting question.
  8. I'll give you that it could have been any one of the interviewers, we don't know, but my point was that comment was meant more concretly as a reply to the question not in an oblique reference to his coach. ie he could have easily said, "whatever". And the point is any sane person sees this as anything but a coach/player battle. You have to create that out of your imagination. what I would really be curious to know is, what do the players think when ole Jeri comes around?
  9. On a play like that, 1 yard line, rare and dangerous situation, why not bring in 1 or 2 guys like Peters to block in the backfield and also be eligible for the dump off pass. I am sure there are special teamers who can block in space better than McGahee?
  10. We all know that Jerry is a whiner. But today he decends to well maybe not a new low, but an equal low. Jerry comes right out and says that McGahee gives a bad interview and is a dope. Then he has the nutz to needle him about his coaches comments. Whatdya think Willis? C'mon Whillis? What about what the coach said? And so our top flight running back has to say SOMETHING, since Jerry's calling out his manhood and the guy says. "hey everyones got thier own opinion." Then Jerry froths at the mouth. You hear what he said about his COACH???? Pathetic. I am sure the "opinion" quote was more directed at Jerry than his coach. God this is 3rd grader behavior. We got a great back who is hired to run the football, not give insightful opinions as to why things didn't work out like they thought they would. JS=Miserable Human Being
  11. I like to see guys make predictions of greatness early on. Argue if you like. But get out on a limb and predict greatness, medocrity, etc. Before any ole butthead can read the stats and say "gee wiz - this team has an awesome defense" Same thing with JP. I hear everybody holding back and waiting till the end of the season. At the end of the season we won't need no opinions, by then we'll have facts. Until then let's hear some opinions. 'cept Patsy opinions, though.
  12. Have to do a little hunting here. Down the page and over to the right. ESPN Motion Video. Hope I haven't posted something already posted. http://sports-att.espn.go.com/nfl/index All in All a nice interview.
  13. Look, we have to suspend some of our hate for Miami. It's only proper. That way we store up our massive amount of Hate for the Patriots. We cannot waste any hate. We cannot idly sit by and listen to " hey, they are a good team you know". Is that driving our enemy before us? Can you hear lamentations of their wormen? Not with that pansy-as* attitude. NO, we must gather our community about us and deliver the Maximum hate. Our entire COSMIC CARMA must be directed toward the defeat, the utter annilhation of the stinking Boston Patriots. We must even recognize the evilness of their name change and we MUST see their deception as they sneak Drew Bledsoe amongst us. Let's face it. These Pastriettes, are the scum of the earth. Do they suck? I had a girlfriend once who would eat a chicken wing like it was a Kama Sutra act. She would suck the silly thing as clean as a Catholic on Good Friday. In her final gesture, she would take that chicken wing and suck every last morsel from it. Taking the juice from it and letting out a little - POP! at the end when she pulled it out of her mouth. She was gorgeous and I would get weak in the knee just watching this eroto-religious act. And that! my good friends is how much the Patriots Suck! So let us all rise, and put our hands in the air, and let our Venom flow. We hate the Patriots. They must die a slow, but painful death. As our beloved champions the Buffalo Bills rise to the top of the Conference and stay there for 18 glorious weeks. Weeks that will begin soon. OH God help us with our unbelief, Amen. is it kickoff yet? ...................
  14. Will Horrible Human's Horribleness ever be exposed? I'm pssed that I followed the whole freakin story and never knew what was so horrible.
  15. the guy needs a year in a professional weight room. That said, he WILL get another chance. the talented athletes always do. Can anyone say, Lawerence Phillips? Wikky Williams? etc.
  16. Well the good part is that you'll never be a Republican! But you are young and I'll bet good lookin and able to bag young chicks! Life is good, mostly. And like some stuff about this country, hate some stuff, one thing is for sure. We are the worlds best in the repair and treatment of hearts. It is rocket science and the doctor folks are great at it. Make sure you get yourself to one of the university hospitals - Cleveland Clinic, Pittsburg, whereever you are. And you will find yourself living to a ripe old age. My college roomate had 2 freakin heart transplants, was on a artificial heart for 4 months and now he is still going strong 5 years later. No compromises. And he is not a young man. And stay away from booze, speed, and potato chips.
  17. Hey, I like the Archies. Sugar, Sugar; and uh.. Sugar Sugar is cool. And Jingle, Jangle. And .. Sugar, Sugar. that's good. Plus they had a cartoon. Way ahead of their time. Now the Banana Splits. THAT was gay. And that kid what was his name? Gayola. But the Archies. DAMN. Like number one for a year. Look it up.
  18. It don't take a left wing or right wing Idealist to tell you that if you are on a boat, you need lifejackets and lifeboats. The only proper analogy here is the Titanic. In that era, the "cost benefit analysis" showed that it wasn't necessary to have lifeboats for the low probabilitiy of the boat sinking. Time has shown us the foolishness of that thinking. Time will also show that the Federal Government needs to be able to respond to a Cat 5 hurricane and it's effects. End of discussion. We don't debate lifeboats anymore. It's not about the levee's - it's about how we plan to rescue the survivors. This storm started out in the Atlantic HOW long ago. And nobody thought to fire up some rescue efforts? What is the plan to rescue Houston from a Cat 5? Who is in charge of that? Look on the map and tell me it can't happen in Houston.
  19. You'll like this. Geraldo must be as big a jerk in private life as on the tube. I saw Kurt Vonnegut at a lecture up at UB many years ago. Someone asked him a question and Vonnegut's reply was something to the effect: "You think you got it bad, how would you like it if your daughter was married to Geraldo Rivera?" His daughter was.
  20. OK, let's say that each day we require X gallons to supply the US with enough gasoline to keep a tank filled at 25% of capacity. Tomorrow we all decide to keep our tanks at 75% (since even the most scared can't keep refilling at say 90%). If my math assumptions are right, we would need 3X gallons of gas the first day. Assuming that gas stations are refilled about 2-3 times per week, this would mean that we are using in a single day, the whole allotment of the delivery. And given that our daily need is thereafter unchanged, we run out the first day. All over. And the second day our demand is unchanged. This could certainly be enough to disrupt the flow of gas and cause shortages. For an analogy, think of how traffic is brought to a standstill, just by cars slowing down to view the accident on the other side of the street. My point being that small fluctuations in the normal pattern, can cause huge disturbances. Back to the gas situation. Once the "shortage" has been affected, we are forever trying to play catch up and the shortage continues. Additional psychology causes panic. Which as time and time again shows that panic is the greatest threat. Lastly, it would seem that the argument hinges upon the simple fact "Do we have enough to replenish the system the first time, ie can the gas trucks come back the second day instead of the 4th? And what would impede the process? Do we have enough trucks? Do we have enough cashiers the first day? Do the lines themselves the first day create panic? In short (my conclusion) would be that knowing how american business is "lean and mean", there is NOT additional capacity built into the system, and shortage/panic is a way of life for American business in these lean/mean days. course I could be wrong.....
  21. Who cares? I love the trow backs. But regardless - It's still the Buffalo Bills. (Though maybe Pixie Green might not work.......)
