  1. They might let it happen initially, but once the parents of kids getting beaten up &/or having things stolen start showing up at the board meeting that decision will get changed awfully quickly. THOSE parents will be loud. Really having a hard time wrapping my head around this if it's true.
  2. Argue it, sure. That's believable. But how many Tibs/Gators have to be in the audience! or worse a decision maker, to get that argument to fly.? It's like a bad Simpsons episode. Specifically the one where Sideshow Bob convinces the Parole Board that his "Die Bart Die" tattoo was actually just German "the Bart the". "Well anyone who speaks German can't be all bad." (Nevermind that die is a female article & Bart is male (though voiced by Nancy Cartwright). It should've been der Bart.)
  3. It is disgusting (again, if true). But how is there not a single whistle blower that's taken seriously by more than a single random reporter? NONE of the non-school board member parents knew anything of this? Good Christ, at my district there would've been parent protests if something like this happened. People DON'T take stuff like that regarding their kids lying down. Especially if kids are getting beaten up but the fights aren't showing up on security cams. Parents here would be beyond livid.
  4. Seriously? IF true, how the f### does something like this stay under anybody's radar for years? There had to literally be dozens, if not hundreds, of people that knew this was going on.
  5. Wow. IF that article turns out to be true the sheriff & school chief should be on trial for complicity in a mass murder. That is so far beyond cynical. Hoping it isn't accurate/correct.
  6. The bolded is what you took from those posts? Thatis truly sad. There are myriad things we can change to do better and several of those have been discussed to great extent in several of these repetitive threads. But YOU (& your ilk) don't care about any but 1 solution. "We just need reasonable gun laws" is the rallying cry. Well, we were told in the past these current laws that don't get enforced are reasonable. Which is how we got the current laws. Some of us will continue to believe the existing laws are reasonable until they are ACTUALLY enforced & shown not to be effective. IF that pointis reached, then let's consider what changes to the laws on the books are reasonable & necessary. Until it is, many of us won't believe your proposals are in good faith. And if they aren't in good faith, no one will sit at the table with you.
  7. Yes, they did not work because the people charged with enforcing the existing laws and expected to do their jobs didn't do what they were supposed to do. Your solution to people not properly enforcing existing laws is to enact additional laws. How about, prior to passing additional laws that past actions/evenrs indicate won't be enforced properly either, we actually enforce the existing laws & then see where we're at? And lets absolutely try enforcing current laws before we go nuclear and eviscerate the 2nd amendment. OK?
  8. Yeah, that does seem to be about $3k more than Clinton's campaign spentin those states.
  9. Talk about poor planning. Who crashes their car into an Emergency Room & then sets themself on fire at a hospital without a burn unit?
  10. Interesting that you bring up Trump's tweets about Obama doing "nothing" about Russian interference in US affairs/elections because CNN was all over how Obama did a "lot" more than Trump around lunch time today. But nearly every action of the former President they pointed out was from December 2016 (you know, more than a month AFTER the election & as he was heading out the door). And they also pretty much completely ignored Syria entirely. Both pre & post election.
  11. Probably has something to do w/ them claiming to be centrist but in reality going hard w/ D talking points.
  12. So, pretty much is MSNBC. THAT leftist "news" network's ratings aren't hurting.
  13. Fox News is #1 on cable & MSNBC is #2. CNNis out of the top 10. How is your comment relevant to that?
  14. You really don't know, do you? The point was that your poorly thought out example based on an extremely limited understanding of S&D didn't account for that what is profitable for one producer won't necessarily be profitable for another. Having oil prices approaching the extraction/production costs seriously messes w/ Putin's cash flow.
  15. At what price point is production profitable for fracked oil? At what price is production profitable for Russian oil? What price above that does the Russian government require to keep their budget manageable?
  16. One could argue that. And if he's been consistently advocating for that, then good for him. Would be surprised if that has been his position. Berke Breathed had a strip or 2 about a "statesman" being a deceased politician. Pretty sure the punchline was that we need more statesmen.
  17. Now, we know these Democrats. If they were sure that Mueller’s report was going to spell doom for the Trump administration, they wouldn’t care one bit about the appropriateness of releasing it around an election. https://twitchy.com/jacobb-38/2018/02/18/getting-nervous-dem-sen-warns-mueller-not-to-release-his-findings-near-the-election/ Interesting. If D's are starting to get concerned about the timing of findings being released, how long before we start hearing how the Mueller investigation is just a sham being perpetrated by the Trump DoJ? One more indicator leading credibility to DR's supicions.
  18. The indictment states that the indicted people were coordinating w/ people in the Trump campaign & others (read: Sanders campaign workers) without the Trump (& Sanders) people realizing they were Russians. Pretty sure you can't be conspiring intentionally to benefit Russia when you don't realize the people you are dealing w/ are essentially Russian spies.
  19. Sad. Truly hope you don't lose the other one anytime soon.
  20. Very reasonable view.
  21. Better stated than my post.
  22. So, It seems that she's saying the FBI can release the transcripts without any concerns being raised by the court but that it's their call (or their bosses) whether to release them.
  23. And just a smidge too late for poor, badly misunderstood, with only love in his heart, selfless Larry Nasser. Everytime the scumbags try to normalize their disease, Sandusky & Nasser should be trotted out.
  24. Brady threw for more yards in this SB than anyone before him had. And far more than Foles threw for. So, clearly, by progresseive logic, the Cheatriots really won.
  25. Care to share any of these memos that the President is "drafting" so we can see whatever the heck it is you're now babbling about?
