  1. First off, I'd hire this kid in a heatbeat. He does more than talk like most on here. Second, to those worried about Buffalo's reputation? BIG F'in deal. We've never HAD a good reputation outside WNY. Third, this just goes to show how passionate SOME Buffalo Bills fans. Fourth, those bitching about this money not going to a worthy cause? bull ****.
  2. Bottom line: BILLS are bigger than Buffalo, NY. Green Bay, Jacksonville, and New Orleans already prove that market size means nothing. The NFL knows and acknowledges Bills loyalty is huge and stretches the world. Bills aren't going anywhere. Period.
  3. This poll coming to you from someone who claims to be a Bills fan from JAX? Whatever
  4. ^This coming from someone who has this statement in their signature: "If the Bills move to Toronto, then I'm burning down the Skydome!" Seriously folks - chill out. It was just a subtle reminder to be cognizant of your surroundings. GO BILLS
  5. LINK - security warnings that terrorists would like to attack stadiums
  6. Um, yea ok... there's nothing to do in WNY or Southern Ontario? whatever....
  7. Not dissing high school footbal; just so minor league to hear it on buffalo's "premiere" sports radio station at 8pm at night... sure, air high school sports - but on a sister station or something. I guess you get spoiled living in a major market like Boston or NYC where sports programming revolves around professional sports with competent producers and hosts.
  8. RIGHT ON "mikedeering" WGR's counterparts at WEEI in Boston are VERY professional; pleasure to listen to and talk Patriots all the time... and the Patriots don't even air their games on that station - they use 98.5 the Sports Hub. It's just so disappointing that sports talk in a market like this is monopolized by one station. Even on Sunday - while driving to the stadium - it's like a CHORE for them not to talk about the Bills without an ATTITUDE.
  9. Is there nothing better to talk about on a Friday before a home game? Schoop's all pissy about characters like Fireman Ed and Elvis and is sharing that he's not comfortable attending BILLS games - shocker? This loser shouldn't even be on the radio. Seriously - I used to like Bulldog years ago but this station is a joke. Last Friday night, I landed in Buffalo - excited to turn on sports talk - and WGR is playing the DEPEW high school football game? WHO the !@#$ cares about high school football? What a freaking joke. The Bills need to team up and start there own sports station. I'm amazed Ralph hasn't done more to capitalize on this market. He may be old but he could learn a lesson from Bob Kraft... seriously. I.HATE.WGR
  10. I suggest deleting this thread and starting fresh with the correct information. Nonetheless, I just called FOX Syracuse and the lady is a complete moron. That was fun - the lady must be annoyed - I say bring it on. She's a B word.
  11. Thought the same thing. Not only were they late; it was pathetic. I would have preferred no fly over at all and more fireworks or something. Seriously, stop going through the motions and put some effort into the game day experience.
  12. Seriously, it's just football. That city has endured enough collapses.
  13. European interests with money, are eyeing the St. Louis Rams, and relocate them to London. Charlie on Inside the NFL on CBS just mentioned it... bad idea.
  14. Folks, I'm just sharing my thoughts. Agree or not - I have never heard the local media here in Boston; including some of the player interviews - share such concern about the team. The media here never looks to Pburgh, Baltimore and Tennessee with such envy. Altho they are OVERLY confident that with Brady - they win - but admit that their defense is weak - and if BRADY goes down - they're DONE.
  15. Truth is - the pats don't know WHAT they have. We're SUPPOSED to lose this game. They're supposed to win. But the truth is, no one knows whats going to happen - they have depleted their defense. Tonight, on the news, local Boston media exposed the fact that these guys are scared. They THINK they know what they have based on their REPUTATION but they are not confident in the least. Nor is the local media. Buffalo Defense - go out and BLITZ the !@#$ out of the PATS. Buffalo Offense - go out and THROW the ball. They are preparing for the RUN. This game could go anyway... but in all the years I’ve lived in Boston - there has never been so much uncertainly amongst these girls called the PATS. WE have nothing to lose - bottom line - the pressure is on THEM - not us. Go Bills. Go Harp!
  16. Great post. We can all admit that Jauron is not the leader of this team; but who is? This week in Boston; they talked a lot about leadership (Bruschi retiring) and how important that is to a championship team. There is no leadership on this team and I don't blame the coach.
  17. Here in Boston, 98.5 The Sports Hub is a new FM station that now covers and airs all Patriot and Bruins games. It's pretty good. They also talk Red Sox and Celtics; even though they don't host their games. Buffalo does need competition to WGR ala (ESPN BUFFALO or CBS SPORTS BUFFALO) but it doesn't have to rest on AM stations only. BTW, Bostonians still listen to AM big time (850 sports and 1030 news).
  18. Be careful what you wish for... In Semcken's eyes, Jacksonville and Buffalo are terrible markets for the NFL, and the other franchises are unable or unwilling to maintain stadiums up to current league standards. So they're fair game.
  19. Is Jeremy Jacobs the ONLY family member in the Jacob's family? That family has money - and it's just not with Jeremy.
  20. Still stand by my sources that the Bills will be sold to the Jacobs family and the deal is already in place. Thought it was interesting that the only corporation in the Buffalo News taking a full page ad honoring Ralph was the Jacob's Family and Delaware North.
  21. There is no connection between Jim Kelly and British investor Bashar Issa.
  22. Me too. And I now live in Boston. Grass is not greener; just more expensive.
