  1. I think they want an up close look at him due to his weight. He is a big dude, and it will help to see how he moves and carries his weight. He also used to be a DT and played OT with some success. Maybe checking out what position he will be drafted at. (OT or G...not DT)

  3. Where did you hear they didn't want Ngata because he wouldn't fit our system? Wait, sorry I forgot, that was just people around here making things up as they go along. Don't worry, I'll follow along with your disinformation, since it really makes no difference anyway.
  4. I'm not sure about the franchise tag thing, but as I said in my last post, if he waits as long as those other guys have in the past, it will hurt him. Yes, it only April now, but if Nate follows historical trends he won't be showing up until around the 3rd pre-season game. That would give him about a month to learn how to play with the rest of the team. He could sign tomorrow and put an end to all of the discussion, but if he chooses to wait, which is my guess, it will get ugly. Note - I think he waits as long as a long term deal isn't worked out. If he plays the season under the franchise tag, I wouldn't expect to see him until late in preseason.
  5. Did Jones have to learn a new offense? That makes this situation different. It is a big deal. If he waits as long as those guys to sign, he will be behind the 8ball, and it will hurt them team. And more importantly to Nate, it will hurt Nate.
  6. No, not really. I think people aren't jumping on Nate's jock after the year he had last year. He was very under-whelming. That said, it doesn't sit real well when he decides to not sign his tender and show up to learn the new defense. Honestly, I could care less. But I think it's a real bad idea on his part. I think that franchise tag could be the best thing to happen to Nate. He's coming off a bad year, and now he gets top 5 money and another shot to really show his stuff. Not to mention the cover 2 usually makes good CB's look better. If he learns his stuff and plays lights out this year...he breaks the bank next year. But no matter what you think about Nate's ability, he IS glory hound. He will ride this out and see how often he can see his name in the paper. And hey, maybe that's the right call.
  7. We could call them Bob, for short. I don't know, I love football too much to say I would be done with it. (Though the Bills leaving and a couple more SB's like the last one may end that) It would be a huge hit for me, but I imagine after some time another team would come up and come close to filling that void. I would be more pissed if they moved to Toronto than LA though. As stupid as it may be to think this way....football is the only true American sport out there. (Don't even try to NFLE crap) One of the great things about it!
  8. This is a blurb from NFLdraftcountdown talking about the Charger first pick: Now, this is just one team. I have no idea what the league average is and how Buffalo compares. But it does show what can be done when you have the right people making decisions (and the right people advising them).
  9. Nothing that much smaller than average could be considered plain or simple.
  10. Almost all Franchise players wait to sign their contracts. It's just how the game is played. He'll sign, and he'll play.
  11. So exactly where did anyone say that he was a bum becuase he missed one VOLUNTARY mini camp?
  12. Once he signs his tender he'll be obligated to show at training camp. But he doesn't have to sign until very late. Pace did this for years. It's a big deal here though since there is a new defense to learn.
  13. Actually, Nate isn't there becuase he isn't under contract.
  14. I think we may more resemble the current SNL. The only reason we're still around is becuase we were once great, and we just keep thinking that if make enough changes, we may get back there someday.
  15. I was going to say that...but I wanted to find a way to make it sound smarter first.
  16. Yes, especially since that would be stupid thing to say.
  17. Mandisa deserved to go. I was at work so I didn't watch, but there was a TV on in the room next to mine, so I was hearing bits and pieces. I didn't pay much attention, but I did hear Mandisa, and holy crap she was horrible! She sounded like a hurt dog. I'm not sure what happened to these guys. They haven't been getting great song choices, but they have all gone down hill. And I honestly think Taylor is TRYING to get booted. You don't just change your entire attitude that quickly for no reason. His CD sales probably went throught the roof and he thinks he can do better on his own at this point (duh).
  18. The first thing that hits me about this...Mario Williams is going to the friggin jets! SOB!!!
  19. Nate Clements with Jerry Grey (lined up 10 yards off Moulds)? Moulds Nate Clements with new scheme? To be seen. I no longer expect to be watching T.V. wondering where our CB's are as the offense lines up. I think that style of offense killed Nate. I think he has a better year with Jauron setting the defense. Which is why we need to lock him up early. I think McGee will give Moulds a hell of time. It could really go either way.
  20. But really the only stats that should count are kick offs returned for TD's and tackles. Other than that, there is nothing ST do.
  21. I can't see that happening...both parts. First, I don't think Tenn takes Young. Not when Cutler or Leinart will be there. Many say that Young is the perfect replacement for McNair, but who says that's what they want? I think they would much rather have the more talented than the straight up runner. As far as any QB making it to 8...I think there is very little chance. Even under the best circumstances I think Oakland takes the last one off the board. Assuming NO stays at 2 and the Jets take Ferg, I bet San Fran trades out of the 6 spot and a QB gets taken there. As I said, Oak will take the remaining. Of course this leaves Huff, Davis and Nagta for trade bait. Just my thoughts, but you are right, one of the big 3 left on the board at 8 means good things for the Bills. Unless of course they pick one of them.
  22. Well, if you are comparing Picasso to some nobody who tried something stupid and got published for it...well then I can't argue. But I will say that even Picasso put out some crap. In his case, whether it was crap or not it was worth a fortune just becuase it was a Picasso. And you can go find horrible art throughout history. You can also go out now and find some really amazing stuff. Comparing this crap to one of the greatest artists in the history of man is a bit out there though.
  23. Worth the $$? I'll probably check it out next year if it's worth it. Ballpark number...how many clips does it show of each player?
