Perks at work. >> Since the new company took over in 2006...Lets see.. We have a 401K but no matching contribution by company... One less vacation week. I used to have 6,,,now 5. Health care plan costs increased $200 per month and if you were covered under a spouse's plan, you were forced to drop the new company's plan....But this is kinda OK in that I get more $$ in the pay check...And the new company has a "AFLAC" type plan that pays for any out of pocket medical expenses, that the spouse's plan does not cover. The dental plan is better in that the new plan pays better than the old company. New company has no pension plan. Gym memberships,,,yeah right... At least the new company is US owned and not controlled by the effen idiots from Scandinavia

Marietta is a great community. I worked there 4 years after graduation. When I was in school we went to Brownies bakery all the time... I think Brownies is closed now Marietta has never done well in football. We were 4--5 each year I was there. Beating Muskingum was the rare highlight for the Pioneers. Now baseball and crew were another matter...

Now with the pre-washed jeans ya can't do that... Kids today don't play enough neighborhood games....They play in structured leagues and organized crap where the parents screw it up......

On Tuesday we saw the movie "We Are...Marshall" and it is very good. Matt Fox is very good in his role as Red Dawson. Matt M. as coach Lengyel is very good too. My WVU daughter even enjoyed the flick also. I enjoyed seeing the filming that was done in Huntington and on campus...My Marshall attending daughter told us about the traffic jams when the filming was done last spring. I give this movie a big 'thumbs up' and hope you can go see it. Stay for the closing credits...
