  1. In today's Register Herald newspaper it was reported that the flight was delayed 2 hours. There was smoke coming from an engine. It was repaired and the trip to Greenville NC was completed... Today is Senior Day at ECU and the Pirates and Herd are in a dog fight for first place in the Eastern conference of C-USA... Go HERD
  2. I heard about this on ESPN radio.. Too eeerie..... Let's Go Herd.....Beat ECU !!!
  3. A trip down memory lane... Hans Schmidt The Mighty Igor Haystacks Calhoun and finally ,,,Ernie "The Big Cat" Ladd
  4. Me and Mrs. Lew shall be in attendance..... Go Sabres...
  5. There was no mention of "NightCastle" and every thing they played was from the previous CDs....except for "Layla"...which they played after the short break where they introduce all the members of the orchestra... < Make note to self ...Watch for "NightCastle" > and there was no children's chorus either...
  6. Duey,,The TSO show was great...If you have seen them in the past, the set list is the same...But they had more lights, lasers and the pyrotechnics at the end are great.....2 hours 30 minutes of concert time... We were three rows from the stage and about 8 rows from the floor... At one time there were 25 performers on the stage ..Including the chorus and strings.. My only suggestion would have been to have a screen behind the stage and show the video of the LIGHTS in Ohio that were set to "Wizards in Winter". That would have been a nice touch.... And they mentioned the WVU --UL game that was going on at the same time... My dau text messaged me the scores as the game progressed.. A friend works security at the concert place and he said TSO has THE biggest stage he had ever seen,....... So if you haven't bought your tickets yet....GO !!!
  7. As a WV resident and a dad of a student at WVU...all I can say is: GO Eers
  8. TSO starts their tour tonight ( Charleston WV ) and I'll give a full report on Monday.. alas there is a huge conflict as the WVU vs. Louisville game is tonight too... My WVU dau is going to text message me when WVU Scores...

  14. Matthew McConaughey read this script and said "I HAVE to do this movie." He plays the coach who leads the team the next season...He has commented on the sense of 'community' he has experienced in Huntington..... Go see this movie.....
  15. I, too, got chills during the trailer last night on ESPN2... I am very anxious to see the movie.. My dau, a MU student, might be in a crowd seen that was filmed in Huntington. That would be cool... The sense of 'community' is very high in Huntington and Marshall U. and I hope the movie guys 'get' this in the film...

  20. Seat belt,,,EVERY time...5 feet or 500 miles..... Mrs. Lew too. When she totaled the van in July her only injury was a bruise from the seatbelt...Otherwise, the State Troopers said she would have gone through the windshield.... Our company has a seat belt policy for ALL vehicles too....
  21. Peter Gabriel..."Secret World Live" Moody Blues..."Live at Red Rocks" DMB..."Listener Supported"
  22. Thanks Keg.... TSO plays a great concert...
  23. Happy Birthday Meazza...
  24. Structured activities,,,AARRGGHH.. I see so few kids today playing spontaneous pick up games...Soccer, football, basketball, etc are seemingly all in structured leagues....There is a field in our neighborhood that would be perfect for football, soccer, or baseball,,,But the kids are never there playing... Growing up in Lewiston in the '60s was just fine...We played games ALL the time and our parents did not worry about us... I think we learned to take responsibility for our actions rather than to blame others for a bad outcome such as a broken window....
