I'm pretty sure the travel was just an excuse. Plenty of other teams traveled to London, none of them complained about jet lag. Let alone used it as an excuse for the next 2 weeks as well. "Travel" was just used as a cover for "poor coaching". I mean the NBA is pretty much at an all time high. Franchises are worth a ton. Theyre raking in $$$ from foreign markets. The game is fun to watch and they have a lot of stars with very few players getting into trouble (certainly not at NFL levels). Maybe some old guys miss the days of tackle basketball from the 80s. But not many. If you told Goodell what he is doing is going the way of the NBA, that would only encourage him.

And that 1 win came from the sun. Not the Dolphins team.

Yards dont mean squat. Points and wins are what matters. And over the last handful of years the Dolphins only have 1 win over us, and it took them harnessing the power of the SUN to beat us. For all the flack I've given McD, he's proven he has Tua figured out. Take away his first option and he's toast. He's "ok" at getting the ball out to weapons who can YAC. He's not a good field general. Milano will end him this year.

The main difference is Terry fancied himself a "hockey guy" who knew a lot of hockey people and proactively bought the Sabres so he could spend his retirement being an active/meddling owner. Whereas with the Bills and the NFL, they were kinda pushed into the purchase and quickly realized how in over their heads they were, and were willing to delegate GM and HC searches to outside consultants, and then take a hands-off approach to running the team's football operations. Not sure that's even an issue at this point. It certainly wouldnt fix the brain damage she sustained. And she may not be strong enough to handle it.

I think we can get him back on a Milano/Oliver/White type of contract where they make pretty good money, but it's a very team friendly deal. I havent thought far enough ahead to know what those numbers might look like, but Beane has done a good job of getting our guys to re-sign at reasonable prices. Rousseau would seem like he's in that group considering he has been good but not great.

Interesting. Moats was pick #178 to Solomon's #168. Honestly, if Solomon has the same type of career/contribution as Moats, I'd be happy with that. Even better if he becomes the next Milano, but that's probably not fair. Moats wasnt a superstar, but he was a consistent, reliable contributor who would make a play or two when needed. We could certainly do worse at this spot.

Not even trying to be cute or sarcastic or call you out individually. Just giving some perspective on expectations. I think we all agree we'd love every pick to be a superstar, especially our 1st rounders. And Beane needs to start hitting more homeruns than singles and doubles. But being good and consistently picking in the 25-30 range is a much different life than picking in the 7-12 range like we were all used to for so many years. The Edge guys from 2021: #12 - Micah Parsons #18 - Jaelan Phillips #21 - Kwity Paye #28 - Payton Turner #30 - Greg Rousseau #31 - Odafe Oweh #32 - Joe Tryon-Shoyinka Outside of Micah Parsons, I'd argue Groot is the best of that bunch. And even AJE could compete for a spot at the top of that group. Groot is a solid starter that is still improving. Hopefully that keeps going. AND we wont have to pay him the contract Parsons is about to get.

I'm excited to see what Bobby Babich does as DC, and even more excited to see what he and McD can do with a player like Bishop.

Nice additions

Literally any coach in the world would jump at a chance to work with a Top 3 QB. You guys are too much. Go look at the other OCs hired this offseason in all those coaching changes and tell us who was better qualified and with a better track record than Brady. We already had one of the top candidates on staff, happy to join as a QB Coach, because of Josh.

I mean, I wont ever say I told you so regarding all the offseason talk about taking 2 WRs early, but if anyone is showing any arrogance here it the folks that worked themselves up into such a lather based on youtube highlight reels, and now you are saying you lost faith in Beane because he didnt do exactly what you, an untrained civilian, wanted him to do. And wanted him to draft guys in the 2nd round that NO team took until the 4th-7th rounds. Who is thinking they are smarter than anyone else? I know you are feeling let down after months of hyping this up. I'm bummed we couldnt get one of the Big 3 or BTJ. Let's see how it works out.

Which "playmakers" did you want at 219 and 221 overall? And just for comparison, Andy Isabella - who is already on the roster, was a 2019 2nd round pick and ran a 4.31 40.

Could be holder, for sure. There was also some classic McD tomfoolery in decision making that seemed like it could have affected his confidence. Deciding not to kick the FG in certain situations when it seemed obvious, then putting him out there for ridiculous long shots.

Fair but I dont think that stat tells the whole story. Doesnt mean he cant become a ball hawk in the right system with the right opportunity. And he should get both with the Bills. He has the body type and range for it.

Even better, young Hyde that hits better. We have 2 Poyer replacements on the roster already with Rapp and Edwards.

I do wonder if we were making calls to get up to get BTJ before the Jags. I think that would have been the only trade-up chance for us.

Always take the Raiders, pitch it to Bo, then zig-zag your way to a TD. Why doesnt Beane know this?
