WRT the actual thread: There is no such thing as running up the score in professional sports. And I'd even say there is no such thing as running up the score in College Football either. These guys are paid professionals. You dont want them to score, then stop them. We put our backups in, so stop them. It would be even more insulting and humiliating for us to, what?, go out and kneel it down 3 times then punt? What do they want us to do? It wasnt running up the score when the Pats did it to us. It isnt running up the score when we do it to other teams. If they don't like getting scored on, then stop us.

It's great to see someone so deep in the organization "get it", and not just some guy in charge of designing retro t-shirts. The PLAYERS on this team GET IT. Josh is the QB we have been waiting for. Diggs is the Superstar we have been waiting for. McD and Beane are the FO guys we have been waiting for. This culture is the culture we have been waiting for. They arent guys that just happen to play for the Bills and are just working a job to collect a check. They GET what it means. They GET the history. In my heart, I am Super Bowl or bust at this point. I'll be bummed if we dont at least make the AFC Championship. But in my brain, I know that before the season I was hoping for 11-5, maaaaybe 12-4, with the big goals being 1. Win the Division, and 2. Win one playoff game. So we're already halfway there. Winning the Division, and blowing out NE on MNF in front of the world, have been successes on their own.

It's going to happen, and they absolutely err on the side of safety. Just the way it is this year. NFL's side of the story: We're doing the best we can to prevent the spread of a pandemic while still having a season.
