The Bills only play 2 teams with a winning record, and they play the Dolphins at home. Projecting an 11-5 record seems right, and from that flows the playoff odds. Not making the playoffs at 11-5 is miniscule, notwithstanding all the 6-3 teams. It always looks about now that 10-6 won't get you in for sure, and that usually ends up being wrong.

Five Thirty Eight has us with an 87% chance to make playoffs, and 75% to win the Division. Which is basically a regression analysis of what the OP posted, and quantifies the odds. Please stop. Please.

The Bills are ranked between 6th and 9th in the major power rankings-- CBS, ESPN, USA Today, NFL and Washington Post. That's just about right, and plenty of respect from the chattering class. Why that matters I don't know, because they are just opinions. You are what your record says you are, and that's 6-2 with a fairly difficult schedule thus far. A laugher would be quite nice.

The line on this game is revealing. Seattle -2 1/2 seems like a MOTO-- master of the obvious. Every casual fan will bet the house on Seattle. This Board proves this fact, many writing how the line is crazy as the Bills will be slaughtered. But yet the line is -2 1/2 (down from 3), which means someone has been, and apparently will be, betting a lot on the Bills, and I doubt those people are morons. Just saying.

That's an overly simplistic analysis. Of course it is a business. But there are vast differences in how employers treat their employees in business. That's why there are great places to work lists, and places to avoid. Some places don't give a rat's ass about employees, and it shows. Others do, and that shows too. They add humanity to the business, and not just the bottom line matters. It's a longer term perspective. OP is simply saying that the Bills seems to fall in the latter category. And I agree.

I did watch the whole game. Denver really dominated most of the game, and moved the ball easily between the 20s. Pats did play a good bend but don't break defense to keep Denver out of the end zone. Some ridiculous play calls by Denver on offense late let the Pats get back in it. But the Pats offense was inept most of the game, and their D was fortunate the score was not 26-3 late. But Denver's offense is not good.

Probably not. When Bills Mafia is depressed after a poor performance, there are two types of fans, people and writers. One group is like you, who tries to rise up from the depression and see what silver linings there are. There are, in fact, many. On the other hand, there are people who marinate in their grievances, and want to make everyone else miserable too. They jump into every thread, calling anyone who sees a positive a "non-realist." They love to call the team and its management stupid, soft and flaccid( no projection there). Everyone should be fired. "It is what it is" is the way of the angry world we live in. That includes Bills world. But don't give up or give in. Angry critics fix nothing, and really do nothing. Those in the arena fighting the good fight are the real warriors. Your attitude is refreshing beyond words. Keep it up!
