  1. This is why I always get mad when people say, well if our QB had people to throw to he'd be much better. In fact it's the opposite. If we had a top tier QB, Zay Jones, Deonte Thompson etc would look way better than they really are. EJ Manuel got Watkins and he didn't improve one bit. The QB makes things go round in this league. There are plenty of examples of WRs who had great years with good QBs then signed huge deals and flopped with no QB
  2. The Titans get in. They will have an 8-4 conference record and we would have a 7-5 conference record
  3. Yes, which is why they are accumulating so many draft picks. It also would t surprise me if they are going to add more picks via John Miller, Shaq Lawson, and Cordy Glenn
  4. I know people think they are gonna lose out but the Titans play much better at home then they do on the road. They've only lost once at home so far this year and I expect them to be competitive with the Rams next week with their season on the line
  5. Pats win, Brady gets hurt....I mean cmon we're all thinking it
  6. My biggest issue was they kept resetting the play clock. The Colts 3 times cleared spots for Vinatieri. As they are sweeping the snow, the ref kept resetting it....I was like No, you have 40 seconds to get the play off regardless of the playing conditions. You want to clear the field you should have to call timeout or kick it within the 40 seconds
  7. Yes, they will have a first round bye to play for. I suspect the Steelers lose next week. That means the Steelers will have 3 losses and the Jags 4 losses. They will have the same conference record so the last week will be very important to both teams pending the Jags win out until they face the Titans
  8. To beat the Titans in a tie breaker at 9-7, the Titans have to lose to the Jags. The Titans already have 7 conference wins. If the beat the Jags we can't catch them in a 9-7 tiebreak because we will only have 7 conference wins. Really have to hope for a Titan collapse 1-2 with one L being to the Jags, and the LAC winning the West. In addition to the Ravens squandering 1 game down the line
  9. The problem is we have to cut more than Holmes....we have to cut 3 guys of Holmes, Ducasse, Hauschka, Ryan Davis, and Patrick DiMarco. The problem with this is all these guys are contributing right now in their role making them very hard to cut.
  10. If we had to go to NO, I would be much more scared about that game than I am with it being at home. The Saints offense, when its away from home, has been fairly average over the last couple of years, in my opinion, and will be put to the test especially if they have to come in and play in inclement weather in two weeks. I agree with the previous poster. I want to win both games obviously, but if I had to take 1 out of the next 2 we have to have the Jets game for Tiebreaker purposes for Conference record. To me, we have to get this Jets game. Also scares the life out of me because of our bad past in these types of games.
  11. Here's the thing, we know the 5 OTs. Glenn, Mills, Dawkins, Henderson, and McDermott. We know that it is not Dawkins or McDermott because they were brought in by this regime. I find it hard to believe anyone is going to trade for Henderson just coming off suspension and is 1 strike away from a 1 year suspension. That leaves Glenn and Mills and I could see either or. Glenn gives you the most value for a team building towards the future. I don't think the cap is a big deal to them. They said that they plan on building the team through the draft and they have done nothing to show that's not the case. If it is Glenn and they can't get the compensation they are looking for this year don't be surprised if they take a higher 2019 pick to continue the building process over two years. On the other hand I think it could be Mills because while he isn't highly valued like Glenn, he does have a ton of starting experience in this league, has a fairly cheap contract, is under control beyond this year, and the compensation wouldn't be likely more than a 5th round pick
  12. Just remember the preseason when they had Sammy Watkins catch all of those passes at the beginning of preseason right before they traded him. They highlighted him before they made a move. Anyone else not possibly thinking that they are doing it again with Glenn? He plays a full game, he looks healthy to other teams, he has good production in his career and then the Bills move him. It is especially in my mind after McDermott said we have 5 quality OTs and we'll see what happens with that in the upcoming weeks.
  13. I think Tony Romo is the perfect example to combat this argument. Last I checked Romo is White and for the longest time he was bagged on for being a choke artist who couldn't win a playoff game. The media, Cowboys fans, and NFL fans would laugh at the idea of him winning a big game for years. Taylor gets bagged on because he throws for 182 yards a game in a league where Average QBs(Dalton) can throw for 300 yards on any given Sunday. He gets bagged on because he never can get the Bills over the hump in close games besides 2. The Dolphins game last year and the Titans game where we won 14-13 and had more to do with the defense than his performance. He's absolutely right. This team could be 5-0. 5-0 if he could have put up more than 3 point against the Panthers. 5-0 if he could have put up more than 6 points when the Bills D gave the offense multiple turnover opportunities and short fields. People on this board would bag on any QB like that no matter the color of their skin. For the longest time people bagged on Chris Kelsey because he was a below average football player who made a great deal of money and didn't deserve it. He was White. Truth is Bills fans speak it like they see it. Taylor isn't gonna get us to where we need to go. That's why they want to move on.
  14. So let me get this right and I am not taking a side. I just find it ironic is all. Football players want the right for freedom of speech and to peacefully protest about inequality which the players have a right to do as long as their workplace is okay with it( already established that it is) Jim Kelly, voices his opinion, which happens to be different than what the football players and organization are doing. Football players are now coming out against Jim Kelly's right of free speech calling him out for trying to rip the team apart. If you want equality and understanding, you have to be understanding to ALL people's opinions even if they aren't in alignment with yours or this whole thing is a waste of time
  15. Oh the caps lock, you Taylor lovers are something else. The guy sucks. You put a QB with Jordan Matthews and Zay Jones they'll look a lot better too. Real QBs make the NFL. We can all sit here and talk about the ****ty play calling etc, we haven't had one good offensive mind in the last two decades? I find that hard to believe. We've been missing a QBand guess what we still are
  16. Way to pick out the one game out of 30....oh wait I forgot that offensive display when he led us back to that riveting 14-13 win over the Titans
  17. Put a real QB with those two and geez all of a sudden Woods and Watkins look like All Pros
  18. Can we stop with the bashing of the offensive coordinator? I mean it's crazy that we haven't been able to find a competent OC in the last 17 years. I mean probably has nothing to do with the crazy amount of bad Quarterbacks we have had here. It's not Dennisons fault much like it wasn't AVP, Turk Shonert, etc etc. Get a QB and all of a sudden the OC will look better
  19. Notice how they brought in s 6'4 WR and a 6'3 WR suited for the WCO. Guess who is also really tall that is already on the roster that could be cut for a 3rd round pick🤔🤔
  20. The 1992 home opener against the LA Rams. The Bills decimated them and Steve Tasker knocked out the Rams punt returner. That was also the game James Lofton became the all time leader in receiving yardage. It was also my first ever home game. There are a couple of games that really stand out as terrible home openers but the one I also remember was the 2007 home opener against the Broncos. The Bills were now 8 years from their last playoff birth and Jay Cutler was a rookie. The Bills were leading 14-12 late in the game and the place was absolutely rocking. Jay Cutler gets sacked on 2nd down and throws the ball behind him with less than 2 mins left and it goes out of bounds setting up a 3rd and 20 something. He throws an absolute laser to a Broncos WR and they end up driving down the field and kick a Jason Elam game winning FG to win 15-14. The worst part is it immediately started raining after the kick went through and the game ended
  21. Here is the thing, I don't think McDermott or Beane care what the locker room thinks about what they are doing. So this players point means nothing. They are in the process of turning over this roster already and in two years the vast majority of this roster won't be here. I mean look at all the possibilities Tyrod Taylor-def gone Shady McCoy-good chance he's gone in two years Charles Clay- above average chance Richie Incognito- prob gone Jordan Mills-gone Kyle Williams-gone Lo Alexander-gone Ramon Humber-non starter or gone This team will be remade for good or bad and most of the locker room they are supposedly upsetting won't be here so the point is really mute
  22. I have been thinking Dimarco as well. He signed a big contract for a FB and I feel like they haven't used him near as much for the amount they signed him too. Like he's been lost in the shuffle and they can just use Tolbert in his role.
  23. I want the Bills to win a SB every year but I also realize we don't win that SB without a QB who plays at a high level consistently. I love the people who think this team is close to coming to being a playoff team. This team will finish somewhere between 4-12 and 6-10. This is for numerous reasons. First year coach and his system, a brutal schedule featuring said great QBs, and an overall lack of talent on the roster. I have watched this team waddle to no playoff appearances with top rushing offenses, top defenses, and great special teams play over the course of 17 years. There are two reasons really why we haven't been. We lack a difference maker at QB and the team in our division has one of the greatest of all time. IDC what it takes, find the QB and the rest will fall in place
  24. People are so desperate for the playoffs that they want to keep this together for one more year to see what happens. Tyrod Taylor is an average starting QB. Not great not terrible. This new regime by all accounts was ready to let Taylor walk to sign Brian Hoyer if he didn't agree to their terms. Taylor bit and did the deal. This staff has zero intention of keeping Taylor beyond this year whether it means drafting a guy in 2018, going with Peterman, or signing a vet. If Sam Bradford can fetch a 1st and 4th round pick than Tyrod Taylor can sure fetch at least one high pick. Jacksonville, Denver, and Indianapolis would seem like likely options if they go in that route. I could see the roster transformation continuing and Taylor and Ragland seem like the most likely to go
