He apparently struggled on Day 1 of the Senior Bowl today. I actually could see Buffalo waiting on WR until the 2nd or 3rd due to the absolutely loaded amount of talent at WR this year. They are going to need some guys in the secondary, DT, DE, and possibly Center as well that could go in round 1. Kam Kitchens is a very real possibility for Buffalo at 28 and he would be a very good pick same for Cooper DeJean. Jackson Powers Johnson would be a very solid 1st round pick and the future Center for Buffalo if picked at 28 as well.
I think Benson is a round 4 guy. He has really poor vision. He tends to want to hit it big and dance sideways instead of hitting the hole. Once he gets going he’s a load but that’s the hard part for him. I understand every draft is different but I loved Chase Brown who I thought was a better prospect than Benson and he went around 4
Well he’s already been overhyped. Listed at 6’3 and he measured at the senior bowl at 6’1. Not that that’s terrible but not a good indicator of inflated measurable in the future
I think the point is that you can’t argue the Bills have the # 1 player at a position in anything other than Allen.
The Chiefs can argue Mahomes, Kelce, Joe Thuney, Creed Humphrey, Chris Jones, Trent McDuffie(slot CB), and maybe Harrison Butker.
Id argue that it’s not Beanes doing. Typically the scouts have big say in Day 3 picks and the GM is more of the first two days. Beane gets the credit but it’s the scouts doing all the leg work on those guys
This is what good teams do, sign a guy for a year, maximize him, and have him sign a big contract elsewhere and take the comp pick. Get younger and cheaper
I don't think enough people talk about Devontez Walker being a a top WR in the NFL. Most project him as a 1st or 2nd rounder but I love the guy. Pure Vertical guy who in my opinion made Drake Maye look a lot better once he got in there.
Reminds me of a young Justin Jefferson and I don't say that lightly but people have to remember Jefferson wasn't predicted to be this good. People will say he isn't refined and that is true but he played at Kent State originally and then missed the first part of the season due to a stupid ass ruling.
I think he has an ungodly amount of potential and is a future # 1 WR in the NFL.
I think they had as good a shot of anyone but I don’t think they were the favorites by any stretch. Beating Baltimore in Baltimore would have been a chore too
James Williams can’t cover as a safety in college and is known as a big hitter but fails to wrap on tackles by lowering his shoulder too much. Guys like him are dinosaurs in the NFL today . Also throw in the character issues he has and you have a guy I wouldn’t take until round 5. Williams gets his love from his HS ranking and being a 5 star out of HS. Kitchens covered a lot of his flaws up imo
I’ve said it for 3 years. They have to get faster on defense in particular and at WR on offense. Why they didn’t have Dorian Williams on defense over AJ Klein when Kelce was lighting him up is beyond me.
I actually think the game turned when Spags made adjustments and the Bills didn’t for those two series. Before that they couldn’t stop Buffalo but they started run blitzing and coming down hard and we needed to be going PA. Those 3 series cost is. We only scored 7 points in the 2nd half
I’ve always said they need to find a # 2 who can be a # 1 after Diggs. This is the year to do it in the draft. I’d grab 2. One in the first and one in the mid rounds like the 4th.
