  1. To me, imo the most valuable positions on a football field nowadays on Defense are DE and CB. You really need 2 very good CB's in this day and age. Guys who can lock down the best WR's. Then you need an elite pass rushers whether it be OLB's that can get after it or DE's. I wouldn't mind a Ferrell, or a Josh Allen. I just dont want a DT in round 1. I get it if there is an Aaron Donald you take him, but the chances of that are slim and the past drafts prove my point on that. Outside of Donald, Fletcher Cox, and Sheldon Rankins (guys who dominant as a run stopper and pass rusher) the only other elite DT's came out of the 2012 class in the last 7 or 8 years. 2017 No DT drafted in the first round 2016 Sheldon Rankins (Elite) Kenny Clark (Bust) Robert Nkemdiche (Bust) Vernon Butler (Bust) 2015 Danny Shelton (Bust) Malcolm Brown (Average) 2014 Aaron Donald (Elite) Dominique Easley (Bust) 2013 Sheldon Richardson (Good) Star Lotulelei (Solid) Shariff Floyd (Bust) Sylvester Williams (Bust) 2012 Dontari Poe (Good) Fletcher Cox (Elite) Michael Brockers (Good) 2011 Marcell Dareus (Average) Nick Fairley (Bust) Corey Liuget (Average) Phil Taylor (Bust)
  2. Whats the likelihood that happens though? That’s my whole point there isn’t a plethora of Aaron Donald’s running around the league. Your more likely to get a solid guy in round 2 or 3 than you are to get a difference maker in round 1 imo
  3. I think in this pass happy league with the best QBs and teams you have to have two shutdown corners. If that’s Williams then I have zero problem with it, but you better be ready to pay them when their contracts are up. We play the Pats and even tho Tom Brady is close to retirement I suspect they’ll be good for about another 2-3 years. Having Tre White, Williams, Johnson, and Wallace as a top 4 and Poyer and Hyde at safety with a hopefully developing Siran Neal make us the proper kryptonitr for the Pats in the future but also the Chiefs hopefully down the road. Just don’t take a LB or a DT in round 1 and I’m okay with it.
  4. Usually at this time of the year, bad teams start poaching young guys with potential. It could be simply the Bills knew someone was gonna claim him and they didn’t want to lose him.
  5. Weird how good QB play is making Daboll look like a genius this week.
  6. Ah yes! Isaac McKittrick FTW. Isaiah McKenzie was a good college player and it seems like the Broncos didn’t see enough to keep him on the 53
  7. I’m gonna let Danny Crossman and Juan Castillo go during the bye week, those are the two sacrificial lambs for this season imo
  8. I understand the Bills keeping DaBoll he was brought in with nothing can’t fire a guy for that. Crossman on the orher hand should be the sacrificial lamb. When the back end of your roster is covered with “premiere” STs guys like Andre Holmes, Julian Stanford, Deon Lacey etc and they are thst bad plus the exchanging of Punters, it’s time to go.
  9. I’d rather take a shot at getting Jameis Winston if I was going to go after a highly talented QB who doesn’t always play up to standards instead of Carr
  10. Dear Lord, the kid had a great game for sure, but this goes with how this world is now, where everyone immediately lauds or dumps on a guy immediately. He played the Raiders who are an absolute dumpster fire, the team had zero tape on him so they didn’t know his strengths and weaknesses. Have we learned nothing from Rob Johnson etc with guys who look great then get figured out once flaws show. Bills fans were ready to anoint Allen after the Vikes game.
  11. It wasn’t his play sheet. It was a random piece of paper covering the backside of the play sheet on top. It makes sense to do it. The Patriots and Bills schemes offensively probably are very similar and have a lot of the same terminology since Daboll came from that tree. Also we know the Patriots cheat so he was just protecting it
  12. I honestly think that would give a huge push to The University at Buffalo to be honest. Bills fans are passionate and will do anything for a winner obviously but I think Bills fans would get behind UB because they would need their football fix. Everyone has always said the tailgates mad stadium atmosphere are very College like.
  13. Boroquez is killing me tonight and not just for the dropped snap and 28 yard punt which obviously is not good. Two other punts he could have placed the Patriots inside the 10 yard line and made Brady drive the whole field. He failed to do that both times and the Pats got it at the 25. These se small things are what kill you against the Pats esp when your O sucks and your defense is completely hanging in there
  14. Taron Johnson 4th round pick, Matt Milano 5th round pick just in the last two Bills drafts
  15. Coaching and Scheme play a part for sure but players make or break coaches not the other way around. You talk about how great Teddy M was and he was good at his job but he had 4 Hall of Famers on that offense in Kelly, Thomas, Reed, and a late career Lofton. He also had very good role players and solid starters as well including Kent Hull. The Bills offense was LOADED in that era. The Bills haven't had a Quarterback or a well built offense. You can blame that on the General Managers for sure that have been here since that era but I FIND IT VERY HARD TO BELIEVE that not 1 HC or 1 OC has been worth their salt in the last 28 years and dont know how to Coach or Scheme. Its simply put, we haven't had enough good players here particularly at the most important position in football in the last 28 years. Perfect example is the Jacksonville Jaguars. Fantastic Defense, probably the most talented Defense currently in the game. They sit at 3-5 because they have Blake Bortles back there. You get the Jags a QB and they are going to the Super Bowl.
  16. I know the Bills lost to the Chiefs in Arrowhead in maybe 2003 and I think the score was very similar. I was at the game and the Bills definitely scored 5 points
  17. There was a point yesterday when the Bills were up 13-10 bleeding the clock down and I was thinking holy crap Sean McDermott deserves Coach of the Year if he has this roster at 3-3. Guys this is the worst roster in the NFL besides maybe Oakland, Arizona, and Indy and 2 of those teams have way better offenses and QBs. This team is in play for the 1st pick, and it was designed to bottom out to rebuild this group with young talent(10 picks) and supplement them with FAs(80 mill). They expect to see a big leap in 2019, it will all depend on Allen like every team when it comes to the QB position
  18. I laughed cause the video was a typical assistant coach. The clip shows Daboll standing in the back going through the script and then you see Allen throw and Ray Ray trying to catch it behind his back. Then you get the McDermott tirade to the WRs and all of a sudden you see Daboll on the move looking like he’s coaching up the WRs while the HC is looking
  19. The thing that I liked the most about Allen’s 2nd start compared to his first was his willingness to take the check down pass. I noticed on a couple of occasions against the Chargers he had the back in the middle of the field for 5 yards but took more chances throwing into tight places. This is past week he went through his progressions saw nothing and dumped it down
  20. All Bell has to do is sign his franchise tender and report by Week 8 and he gets thst gusranteed money. He’ll report then and that’s why he’s okay losing game checks right now
  21. I like it for the simple fact he can be another trade chip down the line even if he can be rehabilitated into a good backup. You saw in the preseason multiple backup QBs go for mid round picks. It’s good asset management especially with the QB position. Do i I think he’ll ever be a starter? I doubt it but he isn’t being brought into do that. A couple QBs go down and all of a sudden with the lack of talent at QB we might get some calls
  22. The moment he was drafted I knew we were in trouble. As a Florida State fan, the 2012 FSU team that finished 10-3 was just as talented as the 2013 team that won the title. The difference was James Winston was the QB. Manuel singlehandly was the reason the 2012 team didn’t play in the title game. I said it at the time and was met by the 65% completion percentage, pro style, big talented arm crowd. This after watching 3 seasons of every game of the guy
  23. Based on the reports, if accurate they for sure want WR Cam Phillips, OC Adam Redmond and SAF Dean Marlowe on the practice squad. I think you’ll see a QB for sure on the practice squad. So that’s 4 spots if everything falls their way.
  24. My guess is the Bills offered a 2nd round pick this year and a 1st in 2020 maybe with another player or mid round draft pick thrown in
  25. Yea, hasn’t Thurman said some crazy **** on twitter before? I’m gonns need a little more than McBeane subtle tweets before I go jumping to anything. It sounds ridiculous that people will jump on anything and believe were getting Mack or Donald etc. would obviously love for it to happen since he wants to be in Buffalo and is obviously a premiere football player
