My guess is the Bills had high interest before the combine and he flat out blew it as most of us know at the combine. The Bills probably still liked him so they said maybe he had an off day so they set up the private workout with him to see if it was a 1 off. Then he probably stunk at the private workout and they dropped him down the board

I suppose they could do it in the new Stadium but they would probably prefer Canalside area. I think it’s a pipe dream at least until the new stadium is built

As I said last night in a different thread, giving up a 4th and one 5th now will get you pretty far up the board. Basically if we gave up two 5ths we can pick first if the team wants to trade with us. Beane is now in a power position to pretty much get whoever he wants in round 4 if he chooses. He did say he would wait a little bit to see how the board was playing out though

The problem isn’t that NFL evaluators are wrong. People will always point to Metcalf or Russ Wilson as examples and say see I told you so. I bet if I went through past draft threads those same people would recommend many others that never panned out in any way and it would probably be 50-1 on the failure to success rate but because Beane took Cody Ford or TJ Graham got picked he’s a moron

I do not watch 300 players entirely. It’s for fun for me. I will readily admit that. I literally try to get one pick correct as late as I can. I watch a lot of college football(my wife is not thrilled) but she knew what she was marrying. The 6th and 7th rounds are basically educated guesses based on team needs versus players. Latest pick I got right was # 155

He can honestly go up as high as he wants with 2 5th if he chooses but looks like he’d rather maintain 3 of those if he could help it. He can get up around 109 or 110 by trading away just his highest 5th

By the way as I calculate my 7 round mock I had Dewayne Carter going 99th so he was a 4 pick reach imo lol

Looking forward to tomorrow. 7 picks to continue adding to our team. Not to look ahead either but next year is also going to be exciting with us maintaining our capital for next years draft

I gave you two guys you clearly never heard of when they drafted them and you brushed it aside. Its after midnight so I don't want to go through it. They got Dane Jackson in round 7 probably never heard of him either until he was playing. We get it your miserable the Bills didn't take who you wanted.

Yea Coleman is going to be a starter. I guarantee it unless he gets hurt in training camp or something. They are going to take another WR, I said that in multiple other posts. They will do it tomorrow. I also don't believe that just going full firepower offense is the way to beat the Chiefs. Every game against the Chiefs is a story in each game. The first time they played they weren't ready for the moment and got overwhelmed by a better more experienced team despite taking an early lead. The 2nd game we put up 36 Points on offense and lost the game because our defense couldn't get off the field and coaching blunders Last years game was a tightly contested battle where we were highly injured and the Chiefs made more big plays than the Bills down the stretch of the game. Really 2 out of the 3 games was simply the Chiefs came through in the clutch and the Bills didn't. The Bills need to make the plays in the right moments against the Chiefs on offense, defense and special teams. They have failed in all 3 phases in them in their 3 separate playoff outings.

I think the two themes of this draft is clearly what I said early Tough, gritty, disciplined, leader types and they decided they wanted to get bigger and more physical in this draft.

From the outside looking in if they keep all of their picks 1 RB 1 WR 1 Edge 1 LB (ST's) 2 DB's Either IOL or Blocking TE

Where is another rookie WR going to play. Who are they benching. Allen supposedly asked for Keon Coleman who is going to be a starter here. I think we can all assume Shakir is going to have a much bigger role, Kincaid is going to be the primary weapon in year 2, they signed Curtis Samuel to a 8 million a year so he's playing. Cook has to get his share of receptions and you know that Knox will factor into the passing game at times. I think they will draft another guy who can play outside on Day 3 for sure in case of injury and has ST's capability as well but that guy isn't going to be getting a ton of run unless its injury related.

When Troy Franklin gets picked by the Bills in Round 5 this board will love him again haha

The Bills have a type of player and that is a high character, high effort, smart football player. They have done this for years. Look at all 3 guys they drafted. All have those qualities, all are team before themselves. Coleman is a highly intelligent high effort WR who is a great leader Carter- Only 3 year captain in Duke Football history. Relentless football player who never stops. Bishop- Tough tackler for one of the toughest coaches in college football. The Bills take more steak guys than sizzle. Is that the right philosophy I dont know but its their philosophy whether we like it or not
