  1. This is hilarious.
  2. oops... royal just got a td
  3. I'd go Smith. Personally I want to see Royal do it at least one more week before I depend on him. I thought he was going to be great last year, but he ended up sucking. Smith's a proven commodity and will get his catches.
  4. OchoCinco is this week. He meets them in Vegas.
  5. If PPR - McFadden If not - Royal
  6. We're going to have to find a way to beat people deep to open up the short and intermediate routes & run game. If Chan can find a way to do that, I'll be pleased.
  7. I wasn't touching the D, cause the original thread starter focused on the O. I liked the D this week, I thought they did some decent things defensively. But the O didn't give me much reason for hope (unlike the other teams). The OP and you obviously disagree.
  8. My point was that the the other teams didn't "play on par with the Bills", as the original poster said. The Bills weren't even in the same league as some of the other teams that failed to score points on offense. Does this mean the Bills can't turn it around? No. But it'll take a whole helluva lot more for them to do so than it will the other teams who had much more success on offense, even if it didn't show on the scoreboard. Taking solace in the fact that some other teams did poorly doesn't give enough credit to just how freaking BAD the Bills were, and how much work they'll need to turn it around.
  9. Which teams do you think have the best chance to do the things over the course of the season that you need to do on offense to win? - Sustain Drives - Win the Time of Possession Battle - Convert 3rd downs - Score Points
  10. As I posted in the other thread about this: DAL: 380 total yards BUF: 166 total yards There's a huge difference between moving the ball & not scoring, and not doing both. The Bills offense isn't even in the same league as the Cowboys.
  11. There's a big difference between not scoring a bunch while moving the ball, and not scoring a bunch AND not moving the ball. Check this out: http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?tabSeq=2&offensiveStatisticCategory=GAME_STATS&conference=ALL&role=TM&season=2010&seasonType=REG&d-447263-s=TOTAL_YARDS_GAME_AVG&d-447263-o=2&d-447263-n=1 Dead last, against a Dolphins team that ranked 22nd in yards allowed last year. Dead last in 1st downs this week as well, with 9. Single digit first downs, only team in the NFL to pull that off. 21% on 3rd down, 33% on 4th down. Oh, and the worst time of possession in the entire league. I subscribe to the theory that you're never as bad as the worst you look, and never as good as the best you look, but man, this was just a horrible offensive showing. To be comparing them to those offenses is night and day at the moment.
  12. Let's say Dallas got another play, and won. The opposite side of the coin is that Orakpo likely would have had a sack on the previous play, and you just saved the offensive's bacon by giving them another play. Personally, I think the fairest way in that situation is to go by the clock, which is what they do now and what they did tonight.
  13. Sure it is. There's no more time left on the clock. By giving the offense another play, you're essentially putting more time on the clock for them & giving them another chance just because they committed a penalty. That's penalizing the defense.
  14. Why should the defense be forced to run another play if the offense takes a penalty?
  15. Total Yards: NO: 308 MIN: 253 DAL: 380 WSH: 250 BUF: 166 Yeah, those offenses were totally close to each other.
  16. Thanks for making another thread on this.
  17. I thought Chris Ellis played a very good game this week.
  18. From the ToS: Personal "crusades" (posting the same information/opinion in an excessively repetitive manner. We want posters to share opinions not bludgeon others to death with them.) Funny that after 7k posts, you still don't know the rules.
  19. In Coachspeak, I think that means his offensive line players just suck.
  20. Hell, watch Sam Bradford with STL. While he's obviously still a rookie, he still looks pretty good.
  21. IRC > Java Chat up top, imo.
  22. Got the ATT version (captivate). Welcome to an amazing phone.
