  1. You don't have a clue what you are talking about, do you?
  2. I'm not sure Big Al's is a good representation of the rest of the country's college bars.
  3. I needed 8 points from the Titans defense tonight to win. I got 24. Best thing Trent's ever done for me.
  4. It'd be great if they decided to go with craft beers only. Would be cool to get them more mainstream.
  5. C.T.F.L. Click The !@#$ing Link It takes 2 seconds. The title was descriptive enough to know what you were clicking on.
  6. Classic Trent. 3rd and goal, snap the ball, run backwards instead of snapping up into the pocket, FG time!
  7. Let me guess - it didn't cost near $1 million to get them to play, did it?
  8. Got them all with 3:32 left. Easy.
  9. The bottom line is it's way easier to get a sufficient LT than it is a sufficient QB. You need both, so if you have a choice between the two, you go with the one thats harder to find.
  10. Not a bad performance for his first game.
  11. Cause that's the norm, right?
  12. I'm about to take off for 2010 San Antonio AleFest. 100 beers, live music, food, you get 15 tickets, each good for a "12oz sample" of beer. $25 entry fee. Plus it's beautiful outside today, 82! Rockin!
  13. I think the problem is that people don't know how to react to situations on message boards. If someone comes on here acting like a dick - go for it, be a dick right back to them. If someone comes on here trying to have a legitimate conversation, it should be responded to in kind. The problem is that people can't seem to differentiate when to be a prick and when to not be a prick on the internet.
  14. Interesting to see all the comments about Liberal Arts educations. Personally, I have a Political Science degree. Most of the people that I work with range from pretty technical to some of the best technical engineers out there. We do things with our systems that literally break protocols and linux kernels because we throw so much data at it. Most of these guys don't have a degree in something technical, but almost all of them do have a degree in something. I think a large part of the value in college is that you have the opportunity to go learn about tons of different things. I use the experience and knowledge I got from various classes and jobs working for the University a lot. The reason why I was prepared to go into a technical role coming out of college is because I had taken technical classes on the side and worked in a technical role for the University. I've moved into a role that isn't as technical, but is more challenging, and I'm using a lot of skills I picked up in Liberal Arts classes. The other big value from college is it continues to develop your critical thinking skills. In many roles, the skills that set people apart are critical thinking & problem solving. People with well defined skills in those areas tend to succeed. People who aren't very good in those two things tend to be stuck in jobs with skills that fit them, but with limited growth potential.
  15. No, but you do!
  16. Haha, idk. I can't imagine my spirit at this company being broken. Even the people who have been here 10-11 years still love it (and that's how long the company's been around). Plus, as long as our stock price keeps going up, I'll love it. Of course, I have to imagine working for a large IT/Internet company is way different in corporate culture from most industries. Not sure I agree with that. Out of all my college friends and acquaintances, there's only one person who has the potential to have that happen to them, and even that's not a guarantee. Everyone I knew that graduated from UT is doing just fine. Yeah, don't these people watch TV? Who would want to work with people like Amy Poehler?
  17. lol, seriously. I'm 25 years old, and would be considered a "recent college grad" (less than 3 years ago). I've got a great job, earning well over the median salary in the US, in a company that's growing like crazy, a company that that I love (and is always listed on the top places to work lists), and a ton of personal growth opportunity within the company. Not really sure where the problem is, or why I'm against this economic system. Those are news to me.
  18. This is actually something that's an interesting possibility. One of the things being talked about right now is combining San Antonio & Austin into one larger "consolidated statistical area" by 2013. The two cities are 70 miles apart and the corridor between the two is growing together like crazy. This would make the SA-Austin area the 15th largest in the US. One of the stated goals for this merge is to attract more sports franchises to the area. Building a stadium somewhere between the two, like San Marcos or New Braunfels, is a real possibility.
  19. I love the downfield talk. That's the same argument that the fans used when they were trying to run London Fletcher away.
  20. O RLY? http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2010/09/colt_mccoy_shows_steady_improv.html
  21. Proofreading police. Get it right.
  22. I really don't get these comments. The #1 pick is going to cost around the same amount no matter what position he is, lol
  23. It helps to spell his name right in the thread title.
  24. No. I'm sick of not having a player at the most important position on the field. QB.
  25. Hell no. The chat room on the board up top blows.
