Which begs the question, how does Party ID in America develop? First, you mention that their peers will have mor eof an influence on politics then their parents did. Why? How? Their peers are in the same position they are - they don't have any experience outside of politics besides their parents. Certaintly only a small handful are even interested in politics, and none get the chance to vote. Research has shown that young people tend to have the same distribution of party ID as their parents, with the caveat of it being much weaker then the parent's PID. If you are looking at the effects of parental PID from a rational choice theory, it has a pretty good explanation. Most new voters will have a weak PID because they haven't had much experience yet. They do have some, which is from their parents. While kids most certaintly don't like to let their parents control them, they still can (and will) listen to their advice. Generally, this is why children have very weak party IDs toward one side or the other. Peers are not like this. Since they all generally have a weak PID, peers cannot explain pushing someone toward one party or another, as they don't care enough (and don't have well engrained feelings) toward a party. Whose advice is a child going to take more to heart: A parent who says that the republicans are screwing them, or a kid that says "I dunno, the Republicans are okay I guess"? Once children get to vote and get to become active in politics, then the next part of the rational choice theory kicks in. They will choose which party has the best potential for them, given their experience. As elections pass and votes are made, this will shift their PID even stronger toward their parent's party or away from it. Therefore, generally, kids do follow their parents political views, but hold those views much weaker then their parents do. From the rational choice perspective, his whole argument is stupid. The reason why get out to vote drives don't work is because the costs for young people to vote outweigh the benefits. Face it, most people in college don't care too much about property taxes, gun laws, or most things politicans ramble on about. There are very few issues that immediately impact them. So instead of take the time to research and vote for little results, they choose not to. He also states that: Another idiotic statement without anything to back it up. For how long, exactly, professor? Its not surprising that 80% of people vote the same way as their parents in the first election or two they vote in, but then it'll start to switch and they will adjust their views to their own lives. Without saying how long they are voting the same way as their parents, he leaves out information that is crucial to his argument.

Its ESPN. Seriously, thats all you need to know. Someone needs to compete wiht these dipshits so that Disney will fire everyone that keeps the ESPN Hype Machine going. Its getting ridiculous. Last night, after Reggie Bush rushed for 7 yards on 4 carries, ESPN focused on how he made "the cut" during sportscenter. They were praising him for making a cut-back and picking up a yard or two. Most of the coverage focused on their boy Reggie, instead of Terry Glenn or the other highlights. Wanna show Bush's performance and then cut to his interview talking about what its like? Fine. But stop trying to annoint him the player of the game after 4 yards on 7 carries. Show what really happened. Please, someone, compete with ESPN for the good of everyone.

So, is Wikideity really just an Al Gore alias? Or did the Wikidiety send his son, Al Gore, down unto the Earth to suffer for our internet tresspasses?

Yeah, because Republicans don't do it in Pennsylvania sh-- man, both sides do it all over the US, and its dispicable that either one does. They'll do whatever it takes for them to win, but thats the way it will be until the idiots in government get their heads out of their asses. Won't be until it gets enough bad press to cause an issue though. I'm sure the people running in the elections aren't exactly itching to make their suppression efforts known acrossed the US.

Do you really think that if only 12 people in the entire world understood this, that two of them would be posting on a Buffalo Bills Football Internet Forum about it?

My parents, against my advice, warnings, and ramblings about them, switched from DTV to Dish Network when they got their first HDTV to avoid paying for new equipment. The experience was so bad that they switched to cable when they moved until they figured out what they wanted to do. They swore off Dish Network and hate the company for faulty hardware that they refused to replace. They are talking about getting DTV again, but are satisfied enough with cable that they don't want to pay to switch back (even though they liked it the best out of all of them). Speaking of which, Fez, after a certain period of time passes are you eligible for the new DTV subscriber benefits again, or will they always have to pay to go back?

Fooled me. His quote compares it to raising Children and Cats. You have to sometimes let them solve their own issues. When you raise Children and Cats, they have to solve their own issues in a way in which the world (in this case the legal guardians) find acceptable. So what? This doesn't mean that CTM is saying genocide is good. All it means is that the world tried it once and the world !@#$ed up, therefore it didn't work. My point is that you are taking a quote out of context and making it something that its not. Even if he had endorsed genocide at a later point in time, it still doesn't mean that he was doing so with this quote. Not really. VABills, JSP, all the others that say "Just blow up the whole damn Middle East" seem to be a lot more capable of genocide.

I always enjoy your long-winded takes on the Bills. As such, how do you see the depth chart at WR shaping up after pre-season? Do you think they'll keep 6 on the roster and rotate or have a defined hierarchy? -
Mister Joseph, It has come to my attention that you might possibly be new to the internet, or need a refresher course on Internet Forum Etiquette. As such, I would suggest that you read the following website: http://www.learnthenet.com/English/html/09netiqt.htm Sincerely, Bluefire

Indeed it does. For clarification, I wasn't saying I supported it, just that it isn't only the Democrats who participate in this type of crap, and I doubt a 3rd party (if they could get elected in a pipedream) would stop as well.

Its got a 72% on rotten tomatoes right now, not too shabby at all. Everyone that's seen it on IMDB so far has liked it, and after 1528 votes, its up to 8.2. Lots of people that are posting on the forums said they dispised the whole idea of seeing the movie, but after they went they really enjoyed it. Like I said: Just purely fun entertainment, not trying to be bigger then life, but just make you forget about life for a couple hours and enjoy seeing Samuel L beat up on some mother!@#$ing snakes on a mother!@#$ing plane! In comparison, World Trade Center got a 70%, X-men a 57%, Pirates 2 a 53%.
