  1. We attack tomorrow. Yes tomorrow. No, really I mean it this time! I do too!
  2. I wouldn't say its a political agenda. I'd say its an attempt to make money by dramatizing stories that really don't need to be.
  3. Bingo. You hit the nail right on the head. Its the quality of who you draft, not what you draft. That is a strage case, haha. I don't know what that would count as.
  4. Heh yup. Some of the things with electronic voting machines are absolutely ridiculous. Apparently, some of the latest research on electronic voting machines in one University is using an Xbox 360 to create a voting machine, because of how supposedly "secure" it is. An Xbox 360. You know, one made by the security-expert Microsoft. The one that within a few days had a hack to play burned games (and a VERY simple hack too, it involved booting off a DVD and flashing the bios IIRC). Of course, Diebold is just as bad. They inserted a voting record "black box" into their machines which can by access by a 2-digit code. Seriously. A 2 friggin digit code. Its not that hard to design a computer in a secure box, which prints out paper trails as they happen, has a touch-screen for input and output, and only allows access to votes with both a password and a PAM. But, our friends at Diebold couldn't do it, even though they design ATM's out the ass. Sad.
  5. I don't have an issue with electronic voting machines myself, but given the concerns raised, it would actually present an issue worth looking into. As far as CTM and you're assertions that it would never come about due to politics: you're right, it won't, and I agree. But at this point I think actually looking at problems and suggesting solutions is the ONLY thing that would get his presidential ball rolling again, or at least have a shot at it. And I have no idea how my last post got linked to the ordinance, rofl.
  6. Party pooper.
  7. Kerry could really win a lot of respect if he would address real voting concerns and problems, such as electronic voting machines and illegal vote suppression tactics. If he would start a movement based on concerns that he experienced in the 2004 elections, rather then just looking like he's doing it out of spite, he could have something. Of course he won't, and thats why he never got elected in the first place.
  8. Thats also the way I read it. 3 dogs and 4 cats = max
  9. Great stuff.
  10. There have been a lot of people lately that I have seen in various threads wondering why Kingsbury was cut and saying that the Bills won't keep Holcomb as the #3 QB. I beg to differ. According to the Bills Daily cap page, Holcomb currently costs us $925,000. If we cut him, he will cost us $1,500,000 against the cap. It doesn't make sense for us to cut a guy when its actually going to cost us more, especially when he's a pretty good #3 QB, probably the best #3 in the NFL. This is, of course, provided Nall wins the #2 job.
  11. First, he wasn't counting free agent signings (meaning being drafted by a different team). Willie Anderson is a 1st rounder though by Cincy, you're right, the site I saw incorrectly listed him as a free agent signing.
  12. Agreed, I think Michigan is underrated. I believe they'll lose in the 2nd week of the season. Our defense this year is going to be insane, better then last year's. Apparently Chizik was pissed during the Rose Bowl and at lats year's defense (which was pretty damn good), and claims the D is stronger at this point in the season. Our O-line is the best in the country. If McCoy can get the ball to our WRs, I think we have a pretty friggin strong team, with or without the recruiting class. I don't think theres any way in hell Cal deserves their #9 ranking. They might be very good this year (1 or 2 losses), but a top 10 at this point is lame. Indeed, they will be. He's gonna get the beat down versus teams with a good defense, having a WR as their QB and all. Yep, Penn State has a decent shot this year.
  13. Yeah, Lee's pick of Cal and Herbie's pick of Miami as national champions really made up for it.
  14. Its humerous that you account O-line to wins, but when a team does good, you discount their O-line because it doesn't match your theory as not being the key for a good winning percentage. Teams that made the playoffs in the AFC last year: - Denver - One 1st rounder - Indy - One 1st rounder - New England - One 2nd rounder, One 1st rounder - Cincinnati - One 1st rounder, One 2nd rounder - Pittsburgh - One 3rd rounder, One 1st rounder, One 2nd rounder - Jacksonville - Three 2nd rounders, One 3rd rounder As you can tell, there are a lot of different strategies for building the O-line, from having very few first round picks (Denver, Indy), all the way through having 4/5 players on your O-line being one. On average, teams that made the playoffs have .83 starters from the first round on their O-line. If you take a look at when the starters were drafted, they were all toward the bottom of the first round, after they had already been winning. In contrast, a team like the Raiders has Gallery (1st round), Grove (2nd round), Paul McQuistan (3rd round this year), Langston Walker (2nd round). Yet, they're still considered a crappy offensive line. Once again it boils down to not being so much WHERE you acquire the players from, but rather WHO you acquire (as well as your QB, RB, the teams you play against, etc)
  15. Yep, they're a bunch of jackasses.
  16. Great move by Tennessee http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2564189 My biggest concern with Vince was that he'd have to start at some point this year. Vince needs a year on the bench, with mop up duty, to fulfill his potential.
  17. I knew that'd get SOME type of a response out of you.
  18. Not gonna happen if Eryn posts in it.
  19. As has been stated, the Grand Floridian is pretty damn cool, and hte nicest hotel there. The Animal Kingdom hotel is okay. The hotel is average for a Disney hotel, but it is cool having animals right off your porch. The really sh------- part, though, is that its just so far away from anywhere else in Disney it takes you forever to get anywhere. Trust me when I say stay at a hotel on the monorail route. Grand Floridian, Contemporary, or Polynesian are on the route. They are much faster and much more convenient then bus routes to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot.
  20. But does it make a difference over obtaining the line through later rounds/free agency? Look at the Broncos: Matt Lepsis - Rookie Free Agent Ben Hamilton - Round 4 Tom Nalen - Round 7 Cooper Carlisle - Round 4 George Foster - 1st round One of their starters on the O-line was drafted in the first round. Denver is considered one of the best lines in football as well. How how bout Indy: LT - Glenn 1st round pick LG - Claimed off waivers C - Saturday free agent (from Bal who signed him as a UDFA) RG - Scott 5th round RT - Diem 4th round Sorry, but I don't buy your thinking that lineman in the first rounds = good line, others = bad.
  21. I wasn't saying that its applicable to a football situation, but in many situations it is.

  23. I'll say yes, just so we can see what he comes up with next in response!
  24. Not really. Taking his example, in a large population, diet, heredity, and gender factors tend to come in at the same rates for both eight and ninth graders. The percentage that have diet influence their height will be almost the same for 8th grade as 9th grade, if not the same. If you have a large population, and take a valid random sample, you can ignore the other factors because they will be the same for both 8th graders and 9th graders, thus having the same effect on both (in effect canceling each other out). This is also why confidence levels and what not do exist (random samples are hardly perfect)
  25. I was thinking the same exact thing.
