  1. The Bills beed more picks. If they can trade down and get at least another second, it could work. In this scenario, the could select Fluker or Warmack, and draft Bray (hopefully) in round 2. They also need LBs and a TE. But if Barkley is there and they select him at 8, you won't hear any complaints from me.
  2. Yep. And if we don't, I hope that Brandon is fired. In fact, I hope that he gets fired today.
  3. That's about right, no?
  4. And the wins keep piling up, right Promo? He was a great pick. Everything the Bills Org. does is great, right?
  5. I would. When push comes to shove, someone (in front of us) is going to grab Barkley. I already told you what will happen with us.
  6. Winning games is also fun.
  7. Only an extra 3rd for 8 spots? NO WAY is that enough.
  8. John, thanks for this info. I assure you that I did not know about this. Football and the NFL is a learning process for people like us who, in all honesty, have to much invested in it. That said, I will tell you what I see in Fluker..... I watched Mike Williams at RT. He was a 350-400 pound monster in college. He did mega reps with 225 at the combines. Did he set a record? My point is that he was so big and so strong that he would actually absorb defenders in college. In the NFL, he was playing against pros who were fast. It didn't work. Fluker plays football. He has good feet and he will improve in the NFL (imo). Thanks Bro. However I must admit, his response DID make me laugh. Also, do remember (as you stated) that we are all floating possibilities here. I would like Fluker IF the Bills traded down, AND they could still get a qb who they liked in round 2 . That said, if they like a qb enough to take him at #8, you won't hear any complaints from me (unless the qb is Nassib).
  9. He is exciting to watch and a very good player, but not necessarily a great selection.
  10. My worst meltdown was the 2006 draft. Taking Whitner sent me over the edge. The A. Williams selection was the most angry I have been since then. Now, I expect idiocy. Sad but true. Fluker is stronger, in better condition, and a MUCH harder worker. The kid can take over a game. Spiller, your favorite lol, would have literal truck sized holes on the right side. John, please watch tape if any exists and you tell me.
  11. I am NOT an advocate of this type of draft philosophy. Some positions (obviously QB) mean much more than others. If the Bills think that there is a qb in this draft who can develop into a top 10 qb, they should grab him at #8.. Kolb hopefully will provide a window of time to do this. The above said, DJ Fluker, imho, will be the best RT since Erik Williams. Yes, I said this. I have never, ever seen a RT coming out of college who looks as good as this kid. People on Sirius say he can play LT but ino that would be dumb. The kid is a monster RT. I like Warmack a ton at guard, but Fluker is just an insane RT. Btw, I think more of Pears than the average Bills Fan. He can play, and is especially good (when healthy) on running plays. I know that RT isn't a position of need on the Bills. I get it. But a draft in rounds 1 and 2 of Fluker/Bray would work for me. AND, they could probably trade down and do this.
  12. Sorry. I was not on my usual computer, and don't know how this happened.
  13. To those of you who are BPA purists, I watch virtually every Alabama game and for what little it's worth, my opinion is that DJ Fluker is going to be the best RT since Erik Williams. He is a hard worker, and an absolute crusher. I hear talk on Sirius of him being moved to LT, but that would be a mistake.I cannot remember a college RT who was even almost as good as Fluker. If they like someone to play QB in round 2, they could probably trade down a couple of spots and take him. PS: I like him more than Warmack, who looks like a fantastic player. Fluker is flat out scary.
  14. Yes, early defensive backs is the way to go. Especially when a team has no decent quarterback. Drafting Williams and Gilmore insted of quarterbacks is why we are such a respected, winning team.
  15. I don't think so my friend. I am an Alabama fan for decades and make no mistake, Milliner is good. Far better than Gilmore, and I could see the Bills doing something this stupid, but not this year. Imo, it doesn't matter at all that Milliner is "good." Building a team around defensive backs is idiotic. It's a sure fire ticket to losing football games, which the Bills have proven for oh so many years. Plus, at this point the Bills will focus on selling tickets. Say hello to Ryan Nassib, the Bills pick at #8.
  16. OK, that was freaking funny!!!!!!!!! And I did catch the Grateful Dead reference. It works, no?
  17. I am not saying that Wood isn't good. Not at all, and I love his work ethic. But one must wonder, especially if it is time to give him a deal like Levitre got, if his body is equipped to play football in the NFL. See what I mean? The Bills, imo, made a huge mistake wrt letting Levitre walk. And the point I was making was that if Levitre was drafted in round 1, he would have another year on our team.
  18. LT is a position where there are lots of different opinions on who was the best. People I have spoken to and respect mentioned Munoz and Jones. R.Rich prefers Ogden. They all make a good case too, but my particular favorite was Pace. In the 2000 superbowl, the Rams stats really weren't so good. Warner was the MVP but I swear, it should have been Pace. He gave Warner 9 or 10 seconds to throw on some plays. I never saw a lineman who was THAT strong. Wrt Peters, he was my favorite player when he was on the Bills. He was the best player on the team, by far. He could push big pass rushers away because his arms were so long and strong. And yes, he was great on the running plays. And btw, I fully agree with you wrt Wood, and posted the same in another thread. If he was a free agent this season, he would have been gone. I have been wrong 1,000 times on this board. But in that particular draft, I was hoping for Levitre in round 1. The Bills took Wood, and traded down in round 2 to take Levitre. At least I was right once LOL!!! You got that right!!!!!!
  19. Thanks for saving me the time posting the same thing. When healthy, he was one of the best players in the history of the Bills. He was also a great pass protector but I must say, Pace was a pretty fair run blocker in his own right.
  20. I suppose that would make us the Warehouse of Despair.
  21. OK, this makes sense. But whether or not cutting Fitz this season (in terms of cap space) was a good move would seem to be predicated on whether or not they are able to restructure at least some of the players that you listed. Generally speaking, dead cap space is a killer. I cannot think of many players that the Bills could release after this season to create cap space, can you? Even cutting Fred Jackson wouldn't seem to be a big cap savings. I can see how managing the cap would be a full time job.
  22. If you are having trouble, I suggest that you call someone and get help. Seriously.
  23. No, I get it, but isn't Fitz going to cost 7 million in dead cap space in 2014? I'm puzzled as to why they didn't either keep him, or absorb the hit this year.
  24. This is why I cannot jude this acquisition just yet. One would think that this signing would put the Bills in a position to trade down and get at least another seond round pick. They need to draft starters in order to be even competetive, let alone win enough games to finish at .500. And, Gil Brandt loves this draft between 11 and 50. He isn't crazy about the top 10. I would love to see them take a chance on Bray with a second rounder they could pick up in a trade, and draft players early who can help us, other than defensive backs or running backs. If the Bills run up to the podium and draft Nassib, did they really need to take the cap hit and release Fitz? The dead cap space could hurt them next year big time. One would think that a rookie coach would have not wanted to approach year 2 with a ton of dead cap space. This team really is frustrating, but look who is running it. Brandon and Nix are proven incompetents. It really is sad.
  25. I hope to be wrong, but I view it as a done deal.
