Which college players are you most interested in (in 2024)
Bill from NYC replied to major's topic in College Football
Ryan Williams: 2 receptions - 139 yards - 2 TDs in his first game. Not tough to take! -
I know that Georgia is great, but they are wiping the floor with Clemson. It is painful to watch. Interesting that Florida State and Clemson are said to be fighting to get out of the ACC and they both got off to such poor starts. Are they really the top ACC teams? Maybe they should stay where they are.

I think Ewers is excellent. I'm most curious about: 1) Ryan Williams - Alabama - WR - Freshman He had offers from virtually every top team in the country and I'm hearing that he looks great in camo. 2) TY Simpson - Alabama - QB -Red shirt Sophmore A very talented QB who is backing up Milroe. I like Milroe but he has a lot to prove imo. I'm not sure how much Bama would suffer with Simpson who seems to have all the tools. -
Bobby Babich to call Bills' Defense

Smart move by McDermott. He needs more time to prepare to trade up for a corner of linebacker in the 2025 draft. I mean, there are only 24 ours in a day. -
And tomorrow, we might not be together I'm no prophet Lord I don't know nature's way So I'll try, to see into your eyes right now And stay right here 'Cause these are the good old days

There will be heavy pressure on Coach DeBoer as he begins a new era in Alabama football as he replaces Nick Saban, easily the greatest coach in college football history. From what little I have gathered so far, I am happier than I thought I would be. This will be an interesting team and coaching will matter quite a bit imo. The following is a brief summary of how I think that the Tide shapes up entering the season.... Quarterback: Jalen Milroe returns and will start. He is immensely talented but did have certain liabilities last season. He needs to improve on his short and mid-range passes and make quicker decisions. Apparently Coach DeBoer has been working with him, and DeBoer is said to be very sharp offensively. The kid is an amazing runner who is fast and strong. Milroe is backed by Ty Simpson who I think will be a very good player. Behind him is Dylan Lonergan, as well as a talented kid from Washington who transfered in, so QB depth is not an issue. It is in fact a strength. OL: Will probably be better than last year. LT Kaydn Proctor was very good as a freshmen but was overweight. This season he lost weight and will probably be more agile. The center position should be improved and they probably have the best pair of guards in the NCAA. RT should not be a problem. RB: Another asset. They are very deep and they have backs with speed, power, and ability to block. There are at least three high quality RBs. WR: Very deep but one of them needs to step up as a great #1 which they did have for what seems like forever. Some are comparing incoming 5 star freshman Ryan Williams to Jalen Waddle. Williams is supposedly excelling in camp, but that is a tall order. DL: They will be better than last season imo. Very good starters but I'm not sure about the depth. LB: Strong all over and VERY talented and deep on the inside. Secondary: There does seem to be questions at corner but the new players are said to be doing well in camp. At safety, Malachi Moore is a terrific player who can cover, intercept passes, stop running plays, and even sack quarterbacks. That said, it will be seemingly impossible to replace Caleb Downs who left for Ohio State. Kickers: Punter is highly rated. Record setting place kicker Will Reichard is gone but the new kid is said to be kicking 60 yarders in practice. In all, there will be a great deal of pressure on DeBoer, and rightly so. There will probably never be another Nick Saban, and I hope that Coach DeBoer can even come close. I think that they will score more points than last season, although their schedule is brutal. I think that they will open strong and gain confidence. The point spread is minus 31 1/2 on Saturday and this is nuts, but they will probably cover. Good Luck Bama and ROLL TIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rams’ LB Ernest Jones IV wants a trade
Bill from NYC replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
I will not argue with you, whereas I don't spend much time looking at corners. That said, he played against great competition in the SEC, and I mean really great. He more than held his own against Alabama. I always assumed that his lack of production on the Bills was due to attitude and/or injuries. Oh and btw, I was less than pleased when McDermott traded up for him. Good call as usual. -

I don't really understand what happened to Elam. I saw him play in college and he bordered upon great. Has he ever done anything really good on the Bills. I don't want to trade him because I am holding out against hope that he will some day turn into the player that he was at Florida. -

I doubt that even the biggest OSU fans like you and yolo understand just how good Caleb Downs is. Have you read my posts over the years? How much do I focus on defensive backs lol? This kid is different. He was flat out dominant as a freshman, and not just with raw talent. The kid is smart to the degree that Saban would rave about how fast he learned a complicated system. I think this kid has a chance (of course if he stays healthy and keeps his head on straight) to be on a par with Sean Taylor. Yeah, he is THAT good. I still think that despite losing Saban, Alabama will be a good team, even given the fact that Nick is impossible to replace. It is quite possible that there will never be another college coach to achieve what he did. This season, their lines are stout and at RB they are excellent and deep. They are strong at other positions as well but I would feel MUCH better if Downs was still in Tuscaloosa. Congrats. You are going to love watching this great player.

Stop being so silly. You use adjectives such as "weird'" "ridiculous," "baseless'" and "insane" to describe my posts. This is your opinion, which you certainly have the right to hold. It doesn't however make your insults correct. On the same note, I find your posts to be tedious, trite, predictable, and ever so boring but again; this does not mean that my opinions are to be held by all. Have a great weekend. Do enjoy this, and all of your other diversions! 👍

He and McDermott were probably confident that the Chiefs still owed them a favor for when McDermott gave them the Mahomes pick and went down 17 spots to draft a corner.

Watch out now, take care Beware of the thoughts that linger Winding up inside your head The hopelessness around you In the dead of night Beware of sadness

You seem to be very fond of McDermott, otherwise; why would you be so defensive and let my opinion of him cause you nervous frustration? I am merely posting my opinion of the Bill's head coach on a Bills board. You can't make me like McDermott as a coach by forcing me to, or by giving me vicious verbal warnings LOL! It really shouldn't matter so much to you what I think. Caring this much about my opinion is completely futile and I don't see how doing so brings you any joy. Cheers and GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh this heart of mine, carries a heavy load When I think about, how I've hurt you so After you been, been so good to me I've been unfaithful darling I've caused you misery A feeling of guilt, oh it tortures me And only you my darling, oh can set me free And darling all, all I need Is just to hear you say you forgive me, forgive me baby All, all I need, Is to have you touch my hand Say you understand, baby

I'm not so sure about that. He played for Nick Saban who we all know can be pretty rough at times. This video is GREAT imo.....

And well you should. I am more hopeful than optimistic. A poster in this thread made a GREAT point about anger being the result of unmet expectations. This makes sense to me. I used to freak out after every stupid draft. What was that helping? Now, idiotic drafts do not anger me even half as much as they did previously. I pretty much just throw up my hands and shrug my shoulders. My expectations are not high. That said, what I cannot do is pretend that McDermott and co. are giving Josh enough weapons. However, I hope to be wrong.

Stop! You MUST see only the good and refrain from rational explanations like the above. You wanna know why? Because some posters demand that you view things ONLY in the exact same way as they do. The ironic part is, I truly believe that most of the rose colored glasses folks take the Bills losses and various blunders that you named above worse than I do. I try look at the team as rationally as I can. My expectations are not very high this season but I will be cheering as loud as any fan. I just can't bring myself to be robotic and praise every move that Bills management makes. There is too much of that in the country these days. Jmo.
