I think we both know that I never said "at any cost." I still suspect that he was hurt when he left, thus making it a good move not to sign him. That said, he look pretty good last season, no?

You beat me to the punch FIC. That was accepted as truth for years!!! I have one for you that I think at least 1/2 of the posters still believe: "Gilmore is a shutdown corner." I suspect that he will not go over so well with Belichick, but if I'm wrong it won't be the first time.

Good to see you back! -
I still think Henry will do quite well and keep your eye on a freshman this year named Najee Harris. Hey, he is a baby and we don't know if he can play football yet. But, he is 6'2"/230 lbs. (some places say 224) and runs a 4.3 40.

He sounds like a really nice guy. People must be victimizing him for no reason. -
Jonathan Williams DUI verdict: Not Guilty

I'm sorry, maybe I was being to literal. In NY, the charges are listed in the report. What I was getting at is that tickets were at no time handed to the accused. -
Ya know, in Alabama he played behind the best OL I have ever seen in college football. Life was pretty easy for TJ but as I said, he did everything pretty well including seeing and anticipating holes. I would love to see him sign with us as long as we don't have to give up a lot.

Jonathan Williams DUI verdict: Not Guilty

Different system in NY. The DMV charges are listed on the arrest report. Summonses are not issued. Police officers do not issue summonses to incoherent drunks. They arrest them. -
As I recall, Henry didn't get much playing time with Yeldon. He shared time with Eddie Lacy. Yeldon is a big, strong runner with some speed. He can also catch as well as block. I haven't kept close track but I suspect that his pro career has been hampered by injuries. If this kid is healthy, the Bills would be well advised to grab him for a reasonable cost.

You do not issue tickets to a drunk driver. You arrest him. All summonses (other than parking tickets) are in lieu of arrest. -
Not on purpose lol. I remember that game. It was in the bag! Losman threw some great passes but could not kill the clock with a first down or 2 and win the football game. I was never a fan of Losman; I always thought he was horrible. Seriously, from day 1. But again, I thought RJ was going to be not good but GREAT!!! For the record, I think that the second string quarterback on the University of Alabama Crimson Tide is going to be a superstar. I am talking about a modern day Kenny Stabler but as I readily admit, I could be wrong. GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There was a game like that against Miami which he tanked, no?

Which team won?

There was an article about Dareus and his coaches after the one about Losman. I must say that it was very encouraging. It sounds like Marcel is getting the discipline that (imo) he strongly needs to play up to his potential in this league. I don't think that Marcel had much of a chance to reach his peak with Rex due to the easy ship he ran, not to mention the stupid defense he employed.
-
I wish he would come back. He usually made sense when he wasn't posting about Rex. Every long time poster here has misjudged some players. I thought that Rob Johnson was a tremendous talent and would make a great quarterback. And I wanted the Bills to draft Ryan Mallett.

Same here CBF. What a pity and may God rest his soul. -
How should Brandon feel?
-
As I recall, the Bills players were very upset as well. I am not saying that players should call the shots but they seemed to be correct in this instance.
-
In strictly a football sense, a case could be made that Levy/Jauron were every bit as bad. They just lacked the theatrics. And, if Brandon played a role in hiring these people, he should be fired. In fact, he should be fired even if he did not.

Jeremy Maclin (Agrees to 2 year deal with Ravens)

I am NOT advocating trading Watkins. OK? But, if he was traded, wouldn't the other team assume his contract this year or am I missing something? -
I'm not sure when Shady was known for his judgement skills.

Listen, you are making total sense and I agree with you but it appears that in this and other posts on this thread, you are giving Marv Levy a pass. The truth is that Levy hand picked Jauron. They both shared the opinion that the secondary is the most important part of a football team. Levy admitted that he turned down multiple trade offers for the #8 pick in 2006 so he could draft Whitner. The 2006 draft destroyed this team for many years and it was Levy's baby, his first draft as GM. It is easy to understand why Levy gets so much room here and has for many years. As a coach, Marv was great at keeping the huge egos in check, something that must have been hard to do. But he was a horrible GM, maybe even worse than Whaley. That bad.
-
This is exactly how I feel. I am actually quite sure that our new coach and GM are twice as competent as Whaley and Rex. I loved the trade down and then, lo and behold, here comes the first round corner and the trade-ups. The first round corner merry go-round and the drafting to fill holes are frustrating issues to be sure but again, things were SOOO bad that I just can't see it getting worse. For Bills Fans, this is good.

Good post and I grudgingly admit that there was some hope that EJ would develop into a good quarterback, but I think that there is one more consideration when deciding whether or not Sammy was a good draft pick for the Bills. Please remember that this is what I am talking about, NOT whether or not Sammy is a good player. He IS. When the Bills made that trade, it should have been obvious to Whaley and everybody else that we were not "one player away" from being a winning franchise. I brought up the possibility of Sammy getting injured and leaving a void because of the picks we traded away. I was shouted down and that's cool. Message boards are for discussion. What I was getting at back then was simply that had we not made the trade, there would have been 3 players in lieu of 1, and 2 of them would have been first round picks. Chances are there would have been a decent amount of contribution from these players. It turned out that I my point did have some merit. Now, not to confuse this proposed trade with the old days, I generally oppose trading Sammy because I really don't know what he is worth to GMs around the league, AND because he is a very talented kid. But as I said, if they were able to snag a middle to early first round pick, I would be fine with it. The thought of the Buffalo Bills entering a football season with 3 first round picks would be thrilling. Jmo.
