  1. Thanks but I'm not so sure. I was hesitant to post a reply because I 100% don't want the OP to think I am calling him a racist. That is a horrible thing to do and an ugly political weapon, but I won't get into that here. The OP obviously meant well and brought forth legit discussion. That is the best thing about this board.
  2. I don't think that the firings had anything to do with racism. I also don't think that your post implies that you are a racist. In fact, I doubt that you are. Having said that, I think that if I was black and somebody said I was "well spoken," I would be pissed off. It can be taken to imply (again, I'm NOT saying that you were) that I am an exception, even if it was meant as a compliment. Honestly, I cannot remember the last white person that someone called "well spoken."
  3. It would have worked out great if Donahoe wasn't trying to prove how smart he was and drafted McKinnie who was 10x better than Mike Williams from day 1. Mike Williams was an overweight RT with a chronic ankle problem. It was one of the dumbest picks ever made by the Bills, a high bar indeed. It was even about as dumb as Donte Whitner at #8. The Bills lack of devoting ample resources to the QB and OL positions is the primary reason why they have sucked for decades. Do you disagree?
  4. Believe it or not, this concerns me too lol. I don't know how much more weight he can carry but we pay pros to figure this stuff out. I would also like to see how many times he benches 225 at the combines. Even though he has faced great competition at Tuscaloosa, EVERY DE in the NFL is a badass and he will need endurance. In all, Jonah has a high ceiling and a not so low floor imo. I would think that his floor would be a pre injury Andy Levitre. Remember, Andy was a fine guard for us for a few years. He was also close to the same size as Jonah and played LT in college. I think he will surpass Levitre and become a fine LT.

  6. Is this what you really predict?
  7. I'm not so sure of that. He might be too lazy.
  8. I might agree if we were not going to lose KW. Lawrence is better at clogging up the middle no doubt. Quinnen gets through in a hurry and kicks ass. They are both excellent.
  9. What makes you say that? Spiller was good in space, remember?
  10. OK, sorry. I was really hoping for much more from Notre Dame. I wonder how they look for next year.
  11. Indeed!!!!!!! Do you think Notre Dame is a better team?
  12. Again, they are extremely talented but untested imo. They coast through the seasons and almost never play against a good team. Didn't they play Pittsburgh in their conference championship game?
  13. The above is an accurate description of the game but not unusual. Alabama has as many weapons as any team I have ever seen. And Coach Saban is always happy to run the football. Their defense is good, but NOT one of the better Alabama defensive units, not even close. The Clemson QB is great, but he is a freshman. We shall see. Clemson really is very talented Rico but who have they played that is any good?
  14. Oklahoma was not a crap team. Not at all. Notre Dame? They didn't even remotely compare to Georgia but they were undefeated. The two best teams will play for the title. The difference between the 2 is that Clemson..... IMO.....has not played a high quality team in the regular season or the playoffs. Not yet, ya know? ROLL TIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. I doubt it. Not if someone wants to have an intellectual discussion about football.
  16. Exactly what I'm talking about Augie. He could have all but killed him.
  17. This is the play I spoke of earlier. Kyle pushed Manziel to the ground when imo he could have easily hospitalized him if he chose to. I am really going to miss this guy that I have been watching since 2006. I didn't immediately warm to him but he soon won me over with his grit, and more than that with his skills. I am glad that he is quitting while he is in good health. Thanks Kyle! You are the man!!!!!
  18. I remember a play where he sacked Manziel. He had a clean shot at him and might have killed him if he really wanted to hurt him. He did not. Kyle was a complete gentleman.
  19. Wow, thanks for this chart!!! I'm sorry, this Buffalo Bills team has no business drafting 12th. I mean none at all. They are WAY worse than that and our ability to trade down would be severely impacted. I must admit, 4 sounds great.
  20. Foster saw few reps because these were so many better players on that offense. Remember, this years Alabama team is the first Saban team ever to rely more on the pass than running the football.
  21. Couple the above with the fact that over the years, the Bills are a super bowl level team in games that are meaningless and also hurt their draft selection and you have yourself a reasonable wager.
  22. Good point. Quinnen Williams is a DT with crazy moves. There are bigger, stronger DTs (I didn't know that he was originally a DE), but he uses unusual agility for a player that big to penetrate. Jonah Williams called him a 300 lb. bar of soap. It doesn't puzzle me that he sat behind Allen and Hand but I do wonder why he didn't see more snaps last season. It will be interesting to watch him in the NFL. I view him as a Kyle Williams type, not a nose.
  23. That was just incredible. I did not know that story and it makes me that much more proud of the kid. Some NFL team is going to be very happy that they drafted him.
