  1. You have a good eye. Thompson does seem rather narrow on top and yes, his ball skills are good, probably better than Harrison's but; nothing close to Minkah imo. I expect him to be a good player but top 10 looks like a reach to me. And I know that bangers are more effective in college and Thompson is more of a cover man which is more suited for the NFL. He might go early because teams are letting their safeties enter free agency and he will cost far less. I wish him well but I don't think I would use a first round pick on him. Second? Yes, I suppose.
  2. If you are correct and Deionte Thompson is a top 10 talent, then this is a VERY weak draft. He is not even on the same planet as Minkah Fitzpatrick was coming out last year. Seriously, not remotely close. In fact, I don't know if he was much (if at all) better than Ronnie Harrison. They were the starters at Bama last in 2017 over Thompson.
  3. I'm surprised that they didn't trade up for Gilmore.
  4. I know, right? Eddie Jackson, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Kenyan Drake, Jonathan Allen, Derrick Henry, and Da'Ron Payne also sucked.
  5. That was a great video, thank you. Btw, Baron was a great player at Bama but there were 2 recent players that I thought hit even harder: Ronnie Harrison Reuben Foster I really do wish that Foster wasn't a thug. The kid was an absolute predator and imo would have been the best inside LB in football.
  6. Josh Jacobs barely got any scholarship offers so you would seem to have a point.
  7. Or Guards.
  8. Yeah.....I view Hightower as a real north/south ILB, much more that Mosely. In college, Hightower was leaner and could actually cover as well. Mosely was an all around player at Bama and was excellent in coverage. You are certainly correct in that there are a lot less spots for a purely physical LB.
  9. Why do you think this? Imo he is good against the run and great in coverage. How about you?
  10. I'm telling you OMF, it's about money. This kid is going to make HUGE bucks for the owner before the season even starts!!!
  11. Agreed. I think that he was even something like 8-5 as a starter for a not so great Bears team. McMahon was said to hate him. Flutie was very good and Murray has a stronger arm. Is it as accurate? I don't know. Will Murray be a success? I don't know that either. But if I owned a team that picked first and needed a quarterback I would draft him because he MIGHT be very good and there are untold millions of dollars at stake. The owner will make back his salary within the first few weeks of the season, if not before. I will be shocked if Murray is not taken at #1.
  12. You raised a very good point. I am not positive that Tua is 6'1". What I do know is that he is a lot taller than Murray. I will try to dig up the picture I was referring to.
  13. My money says that he is a great fan. We all have different ways of coping my friend.
  14. I loved the old AFL. It really was great and much more fun than the NFL imo. Therefore, I will generally root for those teams against an NFC Team. None of those teams interest me to the point that I have a strong favorite. That said, I was an Alabama Crimson Tide Fan long before I was a Bills Fan. It isn't the same because it doesn't involve the pain of being a Bills Fan, and I'm not even joking. Even during their weak years the Tide managed to sneak in a championship. I want to live long enough to see the Bills win a title. My biggest reason is that I want the people on this board that I have known for more than 20 years to feel the happiness that they deserve. I hope that the win will involve Josh Allen throwing a game winning pass like the one Tua threw in 2018. I was up until 3 AM that night in pure bliss. Bills Fans have earned this kind of pure joy. PLEASE can we have a strong draft with no stupid mistakes?????!!!!!!!! GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. The agenda is money. The NFL stands to make a boat load of money from Murray. He is an extremely exciting player. Mr. Wilson knew all along that ticket sales were the pure profit in NFL ownership. The TV contract pays the bills. Murray is going to fill stadiums next year. These folks will be eating, drinking, buying souvenirs, and parking. If he is any good (a decent probability) he will sell jerseys, etc., and he will make them untold money in the long term. I don't mind the above either. I just don't think that it is far fetched that they would add 2 inches or so to his "measurement."
  16. Thank you so much for this post. I am NOT saying that Murray won't be any good in the NFL. I have not seen enough of him to make an informed comment about this, and even if I did see more of him I could easily be incorrect. That said, the NFL is a multi-billion dollar conglomerate. If they want others to believe that Murray is 5'10" and it will make them a few hundred million, they have the juice to get it done. I saw pictures of Murray standing with Tua and Haskins at the Heisman ceremony. Tua looked MUCH taller than Murray, and he is listed at 6'1". I'm with you BB!!! I don't believe there is any chance that Murray is 5'10". The bolded doesn't sound to me like a glowing endorsement.
  17. Sure, why not? Most of the seats are probably filled by Trump supporters. I doubt that illegal aliens and Antifa are filling the stadium and buying expensive souvenirs.
  18. 4.58 isn't so bad for Harris. He isn't a speed back.
  19. That is about what I expected, if not slightly more. I'm ok with those numbers. You?
  20. Quite anxious to see his bench numbers.
  21. I'm surprised that nobody mentioned "OZ." It started off great when the guy got beaten and raped by Schillenger (sic?). Who would have guessed that the same character would turn into the world's most boring person?
  22. Interesting Rico. I appreciated most of AKC's takes. He was really into QB pressure up the middle from the DT position, and was an early proponent of rotating them to keep them fresh. He was right too wrt the Bills. For years our OL was so bad we couldn't sustain drives, and it left our great defenses gassed by the 4th quarter.
