  1. I am all but sure Jeudy will be gone when we pick. Ruggs would be a great fit because he can fly and Allen has the arm to make circus throws and reach him. Imo Jaylen Waddle will be a superstar but he is just a sophomore. I happen to really like Davonta Smith. He is a bit taller and as I said, he seems perfectly coordinated. I believe Smith will be there if the Bills want him because make no mistake; there are very good wideouts on other teams. Clemson and Oklahoma each have one and there are others. This is the best draft I can remember for receivers, and it seems all but certain that the Bills will draft one. It makes complete sense. I just hope that they all stay healthy.
  2. Maybe I am partial but I think that it is the best group of receivers ever on one college team. As I said, if a college age Foster was on this team he would be our 5th or even 6th receiver. Ruggs and Waddle might be the fastest kids in the NCAA. Some place Jeudy in the top 5 in round 1 in 2020. I saw a mock that had him going at #2. Devonta Smith is a perfectly coordinated wr with great moves and hands. He makes catches while fully horizontal look easy. Metchie, a true freshman, led the squad in receiving yards in the A game. Of course, they need to stay healthy. If you have time, check them out on 8/31 and let me know what you think.
  3. I am thrilled that Clemson was ranked #1, and I imagine Coach Saban is as well. Clemson is still stacked and their QB is great but they did lose their incredibly talented front 4. I think that in the end the #1 team will be the team that stays healthy at key positions. This would give an advantage to Clemson because of their weak schedule.
  4. It is a civil matter but if the man actually gave the ring to the woman (her ring size, etc.), I would bet on either a settlement or the woman winning in court. And btw I am not talking about what I or anyone else would deem to be morally correct. It's just hard to picture the man coming out ahead in a majority of cases like this.
  5. Robert Hunter, songwriter for the Grateful Dead. As talented as the band was, it would have not been the same without his wonderful, original, opaque lyrics.
  6. It amazes me how fans of a college team can spot players that NFL scouts and GM miss. There were several posters on TSW who knew that Foster and Wallace were good players.
  7. Jason Peters belongs in the top 10, if not top 5.
  8. That would be a shockingly stupid thing to do. Alabama, if heathy of course, will probably have the best offense in the history of the school. They might have the best wide receivers in the history of college football. For example: if college age Robert Foster was on this team, he would be the 5th, or possible even the 6th wide out on the depth chart. I am being totally serious. The OL is said to have improved, despite losing Jonah Williams and Pierschbacher. This of course I must see to believe but even Saban is praising them. He seems to love this OG/C who transferred from Fla. St. Do you know about this kid? I do not. Anyway, college fans deserve to watch this. If they can hold it down to 1 loss, they should be in over a team who wins a crappy conference with the same record. Do you think that a 2 or 3 loss Pac 12 conference winner should get in over a 1 loss OSU team that didn't win the Big 10? I for one do not.
  9. God bless her and I hope she is OK.
  10. Do you expect Bama to lose 2 games?
  11. I like it too. I wouldn't slam it to be honest but at 12-1 I think that there is a reasonable chance.
  12. If Allen can play, the Bills can be extremely dangerous in 2020. There are a slew of tremendous receivers who will probably come out next year. I'm not sure if I can recall a stronger group of wide outs.
  13. I am going to run with 8-8. I wanted to go higher but I just can't with the possible OL problems. If the OL is healthy I might go as high as 11-5. It matters just that much imo. What odds?
  14. So true. Riemersma was often referred to as one who had "good hands." I suppose this was because he would make a very good catch now and then but in reality he had bad hands and dropped easy catches on a regular basis.
  15. Thanks once again for this!
  16. Why do that? You might get arrested for another domestic incident that is completely not your fault, right? Have you finished paying off your lawyer for the last one?
  17. Time to move? I'm just asking.....
  18. As exciting as he is to watch, I really don't want to see him run so much and take hits. It is amazing what he can do on the ground but he will get killed if he keeps it up. I respect the fact that McBeane tried to help the kid out with blocking because when it comes to Allen, the OL actually worries me more than the possible lack of receivers. I once heard Bill Parcells say that it was easier to find good receivers in the draft than a good guard.
  19. Dawkins. Morse is already questionable. There is little reason for optimism if Allen has to play behind a piss poor offensive line.
  20. How would you feel if he was only arrested for the burglary? Again, please understand that if I owned the team he would be taken down.
  21. If I owned the Buffalo Bills, he would be taken down. That said, a poster raised the point about the not guilty verdict and it is a good one. As for jail terms on civil rights cases, my thing is this: A jury found OJ to be not guilty. I don't believe in double jeopardy and do not think that he should have done time. I also apply this theory to the cops in the Rodney King case. All of the above appeared to me to be guilty mind you. I just have an issue with being found not guilty by a jury and still doing time. This is jmo, and I completely expect others to disagree. I am NOT trying to sway anyone, and I respect your opposing views. The is simply an opinion.
